I can add a three-way switch on the wall next to the shower so you can turn the light back on nearby if she turned it off incidentally.

Hi, i had a deaf GF with CI too , it's sooo funny how our relationship is similar to yours ! she also work with blind/deaf people and we comunicate like you in the dark.. so funny to see ^^ (i'm French and i notice ASL is pretty close to LSF (Langue des Signe Francais) !) I also throw something to call her 🤣 I pass the vacuum cleaner early in the morning beside the bed without waking her up, so cool ! but the reverse is a nightmare if she wake up before me...

You are so sweet together..very nice to see! I wear hearing aids so am trying to learn about the deaf community! What if you had glow in the dark gloves for signing at nightime? Is there a way you could use a flashlight with blue lense to signal on nearby wall,to get her attention instead of tossing a thing? You can set up a light system to be set off if door opens- good for safety.

for getting attention, you can buy a little laser light, the kind that you play with cats :)

The signing in bed is so cute: very intimate. About the getting stuff for you when you can't see her: at my job we always use switching the lights on and off: it seems friendlier to me. And you could ofcourse always get up and get it yourself 😉 or get up and tap her on her arm, you could even throw in a extra kiss haha :)
