This video has come at the most perfect time. I'm struggling with finding a way to manage my relationships with my whole family where I'm able to be myself. Especially my mother as my relationship with her has always been very complex and I've made a great many sacrifices to try and please her, try and get her to accept me where I don't have to pretend or play a role. My spiritual journey is at a crucial stage where I'm getting a greater sense of the masks I wear and I can't do it anymore. If I had the option I'd choose the monastic life and renounce everything, not because I'm running away but because my constant conflicts with interacting with my family is so hard and keeps me stuck on my path, seeing the same dysfunctional patterns playing out in my family but getting pulled into them. My wish for my family is just for more harmony and respect for each of our journeys without judgement, but I guess I'm too idealistic and find it hard to accept the limitations and I can't make them change. It saddens me greatly as I am not sure if I can continue to play the roles they expect and continue with the unhealthy dynamics. It's even harder as my Mum has health problems that always come up when I'm in the midst of something transformational, stopping the process where my focus and attention is taken. If anyone reading this has any advice or guidance with similar experiences I'd be very grateful. With many thanks 🙏

Meditation of her death will help and generating love and compassion for her and others is a good way of sometimes dealing with an otherwise very hard equation ❤️

In Buddhism, people perform good deeds with the pure intention of helping others (and not always focusing on ourselves), either they are seen or unseen beings whenever we have a chance, by doing this intentionally first, which soon will become our second nature, we collect merit to help us find our path to have a chance to practise precious Dharma in this lifetime. One simple way is to lit candles in temple or place of worship and wish those we are in debt to well and be staying out of troubles. However, we need to understand that those we are in debt to maybe are themselves owing to others at the moment (seen or unseen beings) and hence experiencing distresses. For example, sudden sickness may occur and facing death. If so, we can do good deeds to transfer merits to those debtors of our friends or family members, for example, so that they will at least have a chance to survive those hardships without losing their lives. If you are a Christian, then can simply pray to Jesus Christ to help out. When you have a chance, then always share some Bible stories that have touched personally 😢you deeply in life. For example, Book of Job. We came to this world to grow spiritually and to come out victorious EVERYTIME, better than the situation when we were born. Never feel shy to ask for guidance from a higher realm. For Tsem Rinpoche, it was his Tibetan guru that he has put forward his personal vows to. 🙏

Love him and his knowledge. He has his own path, knowledge and teachings ofc. Some i agree with and some i disagree with. I don't like pacificism. I've learnt you have to be self aware/introspective and knock a bish out if need be. We are animals in 3d world, physical realm experiencing humanity. I did the pacifist thing my entire life hoping i was good/doing the right thing. It only added to the trauma internally/externally. Do not doormat yourself. I prefer critical thinking, intuition and taking responsibility for my choices whether that be bad/good. Not a fan of human detachment into this hyper spiritual state. I prefer to embrace humanity in all its forms. It is really hard to practice dharma if you homeless, hungry etc. Dharma can be anything by just chanting mantras, being kind and nice to ppl not necessarily the whole drama of prayer flags, statues, altars, offerings etc. I still live with narc parents who literally destroyed my entire life and am now slowly recovering. Honestly !@#$ em. They were abusive on all levels except sexual. Stand up for yourself and others. I prefer psychologically sound ideas and things that resonate with me when I act/think/speak. What is the most ideal/healthy/good I normally ascribe to. Sometimes you have to do what's right for you neglecting others needs/wabts/thoughts/ideologies. It's your life/path/journey. I prefer grounded spirituality, rationality, logic over detached, non-human inclusive one. Be a hot messy human and do not be afraid/ashamed/regret it. Self compassion helps.

Honour your parents only if they have proven to be very good parents; ‘respect’ should never be given without others EARNING it, including parents. I have absolutely no respect for my parents because they have proven to be terrible parents.

I had terrible parents by no fault of their own, certainly not the father. Then came the foster parents, of whom the worst and cruelest were the rich left liberals; of course, then one is ward of the State. All are dead now, except the State, which has no soul, but the biggest ego of all.
