The gap in power is too big for anyone in the Naruto universe to compete with anyone from the Dragon Ball universe. Madara and Hashirama (Characters in Naruto) are considered god-like beings because using their full powers, they could damage mountains and create craters. You aren't even considered a threat in Dragon Ball unless you can erase an entire planet. Roshi destroyed the moon in Dragon Ball when Goku was a kid, Piccolo destroyed it again when Gohan was a kid, and Vegeta destroyed that bug planet with a ki blast in the Saiyan Saga. Unless you can threaten to destroy galaxies with your warmups, you can't beat a DB character.

Death Battle dropped the ball on the speed bit. Roshi can make after images of himself, that alone in the way they're utilized makes him faster then light speed.

This is probably one of the most hype death battle videos ever, roshi and jiraiya are both sooooo cool and such interesting and just really amazing characters, but kinda don't get enough love and are kinda weird especially roshi, the turtle vs toad dynamic was also pretty cool.

Yeah this is one of those times when these 2 just had ZERO business fighting each other, people compare them because they're similar in character but yeah in terms of strength its not even close

4:56 someone tell the commentator they're an idiot. It took 50 years to CREATE the Kamehameha... Grandpa Gohan learned it from Roshi in under 50 years... as did everyone else who learned it. It's a lot easier to learn a technique than it is to create one. Case and point: Every move Goku uses was taught to him by someone else... or an inherit ability he unlocked. Not ONE move he made up himself.

There are a number of times when Death Battle just cripples themselves by their basic assumption of a battle to the death. This is one of them. (I don't consider Kakashi vs. Obi-wan Kenobi among them, because there's a plausible explanation there: Kakashi was guarding the perimeter of the Leaf Village and quite reasonably fought with a clone while he personally alerted the village. Whether Kenobi fully realized this or not, he received no feedback through the Force suggesting killing his opponent would substantially affect the future.)

The one I want to see is Master Roshi against Genkai from "YuYu Hakusho". She's ordinarily a very old woman, though when she uses certain of her powers, they cause her body to return to its youthful condition. It would be a fun battle. Although I don't really see them battling to the death; it's not really in either of their natures, and in fact I could see them getting along like a cranky old couple.

This is an easy win for Roshi. He was crazy over powered in the OG Dragon Ball and Super just made it even worse.

His sleepy boy technique lets him hypnotize his opponents, his Lightning flash surprise generates streams of electricity powerful enough to take down someone like current Tien (which is saying something), and he's capable of casually generating gale force winds from his palm.

Base Jiraiya butted heads with Urashiki and Urashiki easily dodged Amaterasu which only lightspeed characters like the Raikage can dodge. Roshi still wins tho.

Without watching this I would give it to Roshi. He blew up the Moon in early Dragon Ball. That's better than anyting Jiraiya has ever done. Roshi was able to hang with characters in Super during the tournament of power and almost any one of those people could probably solo the Naruto universe.

Master Roshi would beat any character in the Naruto-verse. Even Naruto - the strongest character in the Narutoverse at his peak - can't match casually blowing up the moon (the most he could do was blow a big hole in it). In fact, the version of him in Dragonball Super could solo the entire Naruto universe fighting him at once (he gets a ridiculous power up in Dragonball Super, just so he can hang. At one point, he beats the crap out of Tenshinhan, who's MILLIONS of times stronger than Roshi was in OG Dragonball at that point). It's worth noting that, even at his relatively weak level in OG Dragonball, Roshi can catch machine gun bullets...but he doesn't HAVE to. He can totally tank bullets; we see him do it all the time (Lunch shoots him with a machine gun a lot). It grazes or bruises him, but it doesn't really hurt him. Meanwhile Jiraya lives in a universe where throwing knives are a realistic threat that have to be dodged.

Let us just say krilling stopped being am monk after getting with 18... I mean who could blame the guy look at her!

oh god dammit 'thats not technically canon' it's the freaking Manga! Y'know, the ONE singular source that Anime and Manga fans use to draw from when making an argument, not the million plus these hacks use when making fake results to fir their idea of what a 'win' is....

Roshi is physically stronger by far and trained with Korrin which help him see through Jiraiyas Gentutsu. DeathBattle doesn't always get it right sometimes they an the fans get blinded by favoritism an will miss things about characters. There are some battles that they got wrong but the fans defend them with...less than average logical sense.
