At my skill level, Sunder has always been that impossible WAD I'd show to my friends and describe as basically impossible, where Doom can get cruel. It was a treat seeing you tear through it single segment with commentary.

Of all the Sunder maps, including the new ones, this is the one that makes me go "that must have been one hell of a bitch to make". Recently a Marathon Infinity mod titled Apotheosis X was released and it also has lots of maps built almost entirely on hex grids. It's a very unique look. Sunder and Apotheosis X are probably the only two videogames that aren't strategy games I can think of that use hex grids so extensively.

Congrats decino on beating all Sunder 2009 maps with no saves! I thoroughly enjoyed this side project and I'm already looking forward to the next one. Also, really curious what the next main project is going to be :)

Welp, great achievement Decino! It was fun watching Sunder maps grinding you! As a viewer I must say that I did find all these maps looking somewhat the same. I prefer shorter and more vibrant wads like Going Down, where I can remember each individual map.....

Opening area looks hard, yeah, but it also looks cool. The archvile reviving enemies in the dark is a great idea, especially because the archvile lights up when it is reviving someone. What an interesting use of Doom's engine and enemies!

Doom Mini-Progress update: I beat No Chance UV. It took a month of save-load practice, and Boom screwed me with that Cyber-sniper below the Imp cliff like seven times because I'm a wuss and BFG'd him, but I did it. It took me 68 attempts with a mix of your strats and some stuff I nicked from the forums. That Imp staircase spray and pray thing? Much, MUCH easier with 2 rockets when coming down then plasma through whatever survives. Then you can use the little supercharge cove as cover, provided one does that upper level first so no Cyber-sniper can ruin you. The staircase Cyber tends to get stuck on the outside of the stairs much easier than in the area by the switch, at least in my runs. Though if you screw up and spawn the Mancubi you're dead if you don't react immediately. And that usually frees the staircase Cyber... So, preferences, I guess. But it was really intense. Not... "fun" going through. But very engaging to the brain-meat.

Great achievement after a lot of hours and reliving this one. I just go to find the "auto-run mode" to be that quick too and still failing miserably. But you nailed it! 👍😎 You couldn't have ended this one better hitting the Mancubus's you-know-what + the 29:29 time. Cool! Too bad I am not good at enabling / combining wads and pk3 files for Doom. Otherwise I probably would have known about Sunder. .. I remember The Simpons wad though.. lol. Interesting you make music for your own Doom wad, right? There's just so much inspiration in other songs of quite a few bands, like The Haunted Youth - Broken, which you might have heard on Radio Veronica lately. Besides grunge, indie, alternative and metal of course ;-)

Another BIG BOI beat by the pumpkin man, and I an very proud. I'm in map 03, and is very difficult in single segment, but I know I can beat it. And yeah, ¡Congratulations to beat this insane Megawad! I was very impatient, that I see the channel every 3 hours, and yeah, I am doing a type of Freaking Sunder (is going to be in Doomworld), and the viewer submission is good, I had planned to do like 7 maps, and send 1 or 2, they are all waves or madness (Map 02 is a little grindy, because or sniper revenants). So, Hell yeah, 1% of health is all you need to kill some monsters. ¡Merry christmas for all and happy new year! PD: decino: You are going to resurrect all, son of a b*tch. Me: Hey, calm a little. A like that part ;)

For anyone who's ever had to map for Doom, knows that advanced shapes like hexagons can go very wrong. There's a reason why they always tell you to map on the grid, or you're gonna get a lot of visual glitches.

Man, what a cool looking map. I can see how this might have inspired some maps like Hell's Honeycomb from Speed of Doom.

Holly molly time files by so fast that I didn't realize that this is the final map of Sunder 2009 and this is map that I remember the most because I struggle to beat this map even save states and I got to say it was quite the hype that 1% of health at the beginning really reminds me the struggle I got trying to get pass the revenants which were quite brutal espcially for an amateur Doom keyboard Only player so man this quite intense just like I remember thismap way back in 2010. Sunder still is one of my favorites doom wads and it's cool to see Sunder 2009 again after so many years.

Nice one Decino. Can't say all Sunder maps were equally enjoyable, but some were pretty cool. Congrats on completing it. I've seen your vids on a save/load playthrough you streamed of Sunder maps 15+. I recall you're saying that a single session playthrough was beyond your skill level. Are you still of that opinion or are you willing to give it a go and see how far you can get? I mean if you enjoy doing it of course. That part is key.
