The other day I was looking at a Nivea tin cream and I seriously considered buying it but I forced myself to put it back on the shelf because I have a whole bottle full of lotion at home!

In Seattle and Portland in the Pacific Northwest, Ridwell does this. I found out about it when I visited my son’s family in Seattle last year. Great idea, I wish it was everywhere in the US.

I’d love to know your thoughts on safety razors vs electric. You mentioned Peter going back to an electric razor. At the mention of transitioning to a safety razor my husband shivered at the thought. The waste we produce from plastic razors and disposal razor heads is significant and I’d love to switch. My husband doesn’t find that an electric razor works on his dense facial hair. I’d love to know what you think and your experience in reducing this type of waste. Thank you ☺️

Peter barely has any facial hair so the safety razor was a bit much for him, and ended up irritating his skin if he didn't use aftershave. I think it would work well for someone with more facial hair though. But this is just based on our experience (:

Hi Christine. I know this video is a month old but I have a question that I can’t figure out how to answer. So here’s the thing, I bought some products for my skin that I actually thought would work for me because it was said to be hypoallergenic, once I used the product my skin flared up so bad and I ended up not using the product again. I don’t want to throw the product away since I only used it once, I’ve asked my family or friends if they would like it and no one wants to use it. I don’t know what to do with such product and I don’t have a recycling center in my city. Can you or anyone suggest what I do with it? 🥲

I’m not Christine but… Do you know of any alternate uses for them? Probably harder with lotion type products, but with cleansers/soaps, I’ve used them to clean sinks or even as toilet bowl cleaners.
