Tips and tricks to clean your Breville Smart Over Air Fryer Pro. I like to deep clean my Breville Air Fryer every few months as it can get a lot of buildup after regular use in air frying, baking, roasting, toasting delicious meals, especially the grill, air fryer basket and oven door window. Cleaning is a part of having any appliance but this air fryer has a lot of parts that need special attention and I will show you a few different techniques that I used, and let you know which ones worked best.

When I bought my first replacement Breville Smart Oven I just started using parchment paper under everything in the new one. It solved the problem & a year later & my oven still looks brand new. Side note, my first Breville lasted 6 years with extensive use (probably used it at least three times a day, every day). This thing is a BEAST!!

Just put the parchment paper under the food. Also, crumpling the paper makes it easy to place and shape.

I can't remember when I purchased mine but probably just over a year ago and it really is a beast. I hardly turn my big oven on anymore. I have the pro version so it has the air fryer and we just put a silpat mat on the bottom and I clean that every 6-8 weeks instead!

Trouble is - at the end it still looks less-then-clean. All those dark/black stains all over the oven's internals. I do love this oven, use it more than once a day on average - but Breville really messed up the design in making it almost impossible to clean - a fatal design flaw I say.

I cleaned mine Breville ( Sage in the UK ) yesterday and I agree, it's not easy. Not helped by the black interior either. I had to keep putting the light on. Managed to get it really clean, apart from around the fan. I have had mine for nearly 5 years now and whilst I love it and use it daily. I'm on the look out for something as good but easier to maintain. I do use an oven liner on the drip tray to keep it as clean as possible.

Trick- I use this for microwave too-put a small oven safe container with a few drops of dish soap & water in the oven, or a bit of vinegar & water. Turn the oven on maybe 300 degrees & run for maybe 10 minutes til water is boiling. Let sit with door shut for 2 minutes then wipe out entire oven & accessory racks etc. Also racks & accessories are dishwasher safe

Hi - very good video. I like how you showed methods that didn’t work so well (I.e., scotch brite pad on the mesh), so others can just avoid wasting their time with those. I saw you used a toothbrush; I tried a copper scrub pad, but had better luck with a stiff nylon brush. You don’t have Dollar Tree in Canada (maybe Dollarama?) but I found a Quickie brand brush which I used. It dislodged more (but not quite all) of the stuck-in food bits and grease Just curious what ratio of baking soda to dish soap you found worked best? Also you look a LOT like my niece (actually my cousin’s daughter). 😊
@everythingbutpasta
@everythingbutpasta Жыл бұрын
I bought a stiff brush and it worked much much better. I’ll eventually have to post an update. As for the ratio, I don’t have an exact ratio but it’s heavily towards the baking soda, I just add enough soap to get a thick paste. Probably something like 10:1

The stainless steel basket and grill: why mess about, soak in diluted bleach/water for a few min then use non-stick safe scrubber, or a even a stronger sponge - steel can take it. I have a Hysapientia 24L oven and last night I deemed it impossible to clean, and it's irritating to see all these great photos manufacturer shoes having it stuffed with things, oil and splatter must be going everywhere! Then they "wipe the interior"? give me a break. For stubborn stains they say make a paste out of baking soda and water - doesn't work!! What does is a tough scrubber sponge, maybe one suitable for non stick pans, I don't know why they don't recommend to use those? It's a stainless steel interior. The cleaning nightmare is the biggest omission manufacturers make, feels like a scam because honestly it's too hard to clean. Might as well not bother, let the fat stains stick like f. I just use a small frying pan and stick it inside the oven. I guess we'll eventually perfect it, a great air frying oven with dual capabilities, without a cleaning nightmare.
