Let's give Roger Glover some love on the bass guitar. Awesome bass solo. This is the first thrash metal song ever recorded.

Hey Wally!! More Ronnie James Dio!!! You've done some fantastic Rainbow, BUT, You've yet to do the GREATEST, well one of the greatest, performances EVER!!! The song is a Deep Purple one that Ritchie brought with him with the better vocalist, 'MISTREATED' LIVE in Munich 1977!! Then from the same concert, check out 'Catch the Rainbow', unreal!!! You've done some Black Sabbath with Ronnie, but you keep doing studio, not with Dio!! He should always be enjoyed LIVE!!! He adds SO MUCH and his voice is BETTER live. I see you are comparing Dio to Ozzy? HAHAHAHA!!! OZZY CAN'T SING A NOTE AND RONNIE IS THE GOAT!!! Check out Ronnie singing Ozzy era songs and see how much BETTER they are with a real vocalist! KZfaq 'Dio-War Pigs' and you'll get live shows, which you should be watching anyway, of Black Sabbath with Dio doing all the Ozzy songs, they had to, they only had 1 album at the time! Check out the 1980 video of Black Sabbath 'Heaven and Hell', it's like 12 min long, but that's because Ronnie loved to involve his fans, who he treated better than any celebrity I've ever heard about. For his solo band 'Dio', check out 'Don't Talk To Strangers' LIVE from the Spectrum 1986, 'The Last in Line' Live in Amsterdam 1983, 'Children of the Sea' LIVE in Amsterdam 1983, 'Rainbow in the Dark' LIVE from the 80's or 90's and really ANY LIVE Ronnie James Dio performance from the 70's, 80's and 90's will be unbelievable. After 2005, Black Sabbath reformed with Dio to form the band 'Heaven and Hell', they toured until Ronnies death. He still hit every note, still had the BEST voice out there, but his tone got just a little lower, which is natural with age and vocal chords stiffening and he was in his mid 60's!!! The man was an anomaly and had a gift from GOD! You should check those out too after all the great earlier stuff. ENJOY!!! I'm gonna keep checking on Fridays!!

Yes, this is Deep Purple Mark II: Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Lord, and Paice. In Rock, Fireball, Machine Head, and Who Do We Think We Are were their studio albums before Gillan and Glover parted for a long while.

The little drum break in the middle of the song sounds like the intro to Motörhead’s Overkill

Did y'all hear that Ian Paice is the drummer on DMX's _X Moves,_ released on the day he died. A real rap/rock crossover with guitarist Steve Howe from Yes.

Hey Wally. As pointed out by another commentor, that is the Mach 2 version of Deep Purple. Have you ever heard the original Mach 1 version? Most notable for covering both Joe South'd "Hush" and Neil Diamond's "Kentucky Woman". Also, this lineup reunited in the mid-1980's and did the album "Perfect Strangers" album. The title track, as you would say, is straight fire!

Wally, [bandleader] Ritchie Blackmore said he didn't think this was the band's best album because they had been on the road touring and touring and were tired when recording this Fireball album. Yes it's the classic Purple lineup: Ritchie, lead guitar, Roger Glover, bass, Jon Lord keyboards, Ian Paice drums, Ian Gillan lead vocals. ('69-'73). Gillan and Glover left after '73.

I read that they were pretty upset with their management. The song "No No No" is a rant directed at 'em.
