That’s a great price nowadays, Walmart has the best price on ammo of anywhere now on almost everything. You’d pay $50-$70 at retail, not scalpers price, for that many CCI 22lr. The Auto Match round nose you mentioned is pretty close to what you just paid for the Remington. The Remington is only 1.1 cents more per round, and that’s also going from a round nose to a hollow point. Great buy if you’re looking for 22lr in 2022, prices are increasing moving forward.

If you divide the 500 cartridges in the box by 10, you get $3.99 per box of 50. You won't find single box prices that low anywhere!!! You passed up a bargain on the second box...

It’s 525 in the box. That’s $0.075 per round. Where has this guy been buying .22 lr so much cheaper than that (other than the auto match at $0.067/rd)??!! There is nowhere else you can get any kind (even the worst stuff) of .22lr for less than $0.10-$0.12 / rd. “Ripped off”?? SMH

actually i just got 2000 rounds of aguila super extra hp's for 148$ shipped. Came out to like $3.70 cents a box of 50.

Still have a 500 box from 1998 Remington.22 when it had 10 individual boxes of 50. Was a Kmart blue light special for $3.50 for 500.

Yet still have the lowest prices around. To this waiting... good for you. But prices may be headed back up. They may never go down to what they were pre 2020. 7.6cpr is good over the last 2 years and may be a steal when it's not available again.

@@petermarut7504 you might not be far off. I figure if it gets any lower maybe 7-8 cents a piece might be the lowest. But people aren't satisfied with what they have. Ammo Co will make it but they have to make enough to stay on shelves to get cheaper.

If you are finding .22Lr for around $0.07 per round you are finding a good deal. Most places are selling .22Lr for $0.10 per round or $50 (post tax) for a box of 500.

I find the 1400 round bucket o bullets pretty often in my walmart for $79. Which is only $10 more then I was seeing them pre covid. Its definitely still way better then the $109-119 I see them anywhere else. They don't last long though when they get them in.

I ran 225 rounds of Golden Bullets yesterday through the CMMG 22 Conversion Kit. Zero failures. I ran 275 of Federal Auto Match zero failures with it as well. I have had very few fails with the CMMG and only recall one fail to fire a few weeks back, oddly enough it was with CCI. It seems to me rimfire ammo has gotten more reliable especially in ignition. Part of the reason might be the AR15 trigger system putting a hard hit on the firing pin. Now I agree that is a bit pricey but, still way cheaper than shooting centerfire.

This pleases me as I bought a decent amount of the Golden Bullets and Automatch recently. I know we're not going to have the same lots or whatnot but if the standard is set the same way, at least I can accept that I may have failures just not many. I just plan to getting one of these kits and try it out. It's 22. This round is one of those that can either be a crap shoot or a super good range day depending on the gun you shoot them with. I'm happy you're reporting good things despite how ammo is still in limited numbers and pricing is still climbing.

@@FireSkittlez85 yes, I have run 2-3000 rounds of Auto Match through the CMMG in the last month no issues. Sometimes a weak round will not reset the hammer. That might happen ever couple hundred rounds. Not a big deal just cycle it and keep blasting. I have been getting auto match from two different Wal Marts so, they are likely different lot numbers. I must say it's velocity can vary wildly but, still hits point of aim at 40ish yards. Plenty good for plinking or even small game.

I went in walmart a couple weeks ago and saw some winchester 22 caliber.. a box of 300 I think.. it was a cool looking box so i was going to buy them.. over 40 dollars for the 300 rounds.. neat box but no thanks

Where I live that would be a good score. Anything under .10 a round is a good price here (west coast of FL). Is there any marking on the box indicating it is post bankruptcy (Vista take over) ?

I've got several videos from 2016 where I paid $21.97 a box for them at Walmart. Has the box changed any since Vista Outdoors took over? Any reference to Vista on it?

I looked all over the box at lunch and didn't see any indication of Vista. One weird thing though is they marked out parts of the lot number and it looks like they hand wrote in numbers over the part they scratched out.

Even though I have picked up about 6000 of Federal auto match and Golden Bullets I have been buying as much of the cci standard velocity because it is so accurate and it averages.10 or 11 but I believe buy it while it is available

Rural king prices are going up as well. Can occasionally find a ok deal every now and again but are becoming more rare they definitely held the lower prices way longer then anywhere else I have seen

Still remember $10-$12 for the 550 count bulk boxes. The Federal Auto-Match 325 for $21 and change is still the best buy at the moment. Winchester wanting $40 for their 300 count boxes is still obscene and wishful thinking

The Winchester is a special anniversary edition box is why. Ammo is going to stay at that price and continue going up regardless of people buying them. Labor, transportation, raw materials, inflation… prices aren’t coming back down in any meaningful manner.

It's the yellow box they come in. My guy told me that it is a commemorative box and that is what you are paying for. Hence no one buys the Winchester around here.

So while it is just one aspect of increasing prices, gas price is a focal point as it is a contributor to price increases in virtually every aspect of life.

So glad I bought my ammo before the gun buying craze and bigtime ammo shortage. No f ing way am I paying 40 bucks for 500 rounds .I bought 2 lots of 5000 rounds 2 years ago with it being 114.00 with shipping each. . . Got all ille ever need now. Just laughing my ass off at what people are willing to pay for ammo and FYI a 50 ct box used to be 99. Cents. Now look in the mirror and tell the idiot looking back at you that paying 4.00 for that same box was a good deal.
