Still trying to come to terms with his adoptive parents' death, Wheels runs away to be with his biological father, who has sent him a postcard. When he arrives, however, he receives a cool welcome. Meanwhile, Luke and Shane take LSD at a concert and Luke is later found unconscious beneath a bridge.
The third season of Degrassi Junior High premiered on November 7, 1988 with 16 episodes. It depicts the 1988-1989 school year.
Light, funny and poignant, DEGRASSI JUNIOR HIGH is a series with strong family appeal. Set in an inner-city neighbourhood on its way up, the series is a street-wise look at what really goes on in the kid-adult world of junior high school. @@Mattraction513 It's timeless. I remember my 16th birthday in 1980. I wanted to go to an arcade that had just opened (actually, a cute boy invited me). My father said that it was in a bad part of town and said that I couldn't go. I cringe when I remember actually saying to him, "Dad! I'm 16 years old! I can take care of myself!" While I didn't go, I did keep in touch with the cute boy...who turned out to be more than I could handle.

They're literally trying. Gran Wheeler essentially has TWO dependents to deal with, an Invalid husband who can just about move and an ungrateful Teenage Grandson. Had the Grandparents not been there, odds are Wheels would be in a Group home anyway or on the streets. He just treated them like garbage and two years later, something finally gave.

His grandmother didn't say that. Since he's miserable living with them, won't go to school and doesn't appreciate what he has she suggested that a group home can deal with him better!! In the U.S. we have "foster homes" where he may have been able to live with a couple literally like parents.

The Actor who plays Mr. Garcia also acted as a Guard on Orange Is The New Black. Isn't it ironic, Mr. Garcia is a "Math Teacher" and later Snake becomes a Teacher kind of like Miss Westlake on The Cosby Show and Theo.
