Neither JZ nor Oprah are able to build a community center for the neighborhood even if they wanted to because the source of their income is from an organization who put stipulations on that money. This money cannot be spent to help the community. But mainly for self indulgence. I help more people with my meager income than they do. This is a fact. And God just keeps on blessing me with more and more.

True that they put stipulations on the money they give you. It's fucked up how after you reach a certain level you basically have to separate from your loved ones. Master P was smart by starting his own independent label and having his brothers to be rappers so they could be along with him but you also see what they did to C-Murder because he wanted to hang out at the club with his peers they set him up because they knew he'd be rebellious once they all reached the top level that is why they're keeping him in prison.

Dehaven, the HOMIE who JAY himself said put him on and taught him to hustle in the streets Jaz O =the HOMIE who FIRST believed in jays rap skills, took him under hes wing and schooled him to the industry. Dame Dash= the HOMIE who committed he's life's work to making jays career a sucess. Beenie siegal( and the whole state property roster for that matter) the HOMIES who jay publicly swore allegiances to many times over Just to name a few but damn....look at the significant roles these people played in dudes journey? and they ALL have the same sour taste in they're mouths ?? sorry that's not just coincidence .... we call it "rich and switch" ; )
@0Lu.Lu0
@0Lu.Lu0 9 жыл бұрын
Rich and switch. Yeah it's starting to come out that Jay will use anyone and play his position, then once a catalyst to consolidate the take into his own hands presents himself, he gets amnesia. So funny how the broadcast media for so many years cast everything that went wrong with The Roc was Dame's fault, and that Jay is the winner and he is the loser; but what more people are seeing now is that none of the other artists flourished and made good money under Jay as Def Jam Pres, owning half of Rocafella, like they did under Dame. The simple fact is Damon broke the biggest and best (Kanye is fuckin larger than life now, and the fashion world can't even keep up with his ideas) and he's made a lot of people rich AND the block still got love for him and has his back. So what he yelled; most people who have gripe about that don't know all the details of what he had to fight to keep his fam from getting robbed and need a perspective adjustment. Dame is about love and he got gangsta like a proper Harlem nigga when it was necessary, never was personal for him, everyone from the old days testifies that he set up The Roc like a family, no crabs in a barrel shit. If Damon stopped speaking to this dude he must indeed have been on some Chatty Patty snitching shit, that's even more the code in Harlem than BK

Just goes to show that there's real friends and fake friends. I think we all know a few people who we get calls from all the time to give them a ride to a job interview, or spot them a few dollars, or let them stay at your place, stuff like that. As soon as they get back on their feet or move on to something else, you'd be lucky to get a damn text.

When I first heard this guy I didn't think much of it but then I realized he has a point. At the end of the day they came up together as family and as 'Soldiers' of the streets and did whatever it took, (Within reason), you know what I mean, and this guy went MIA for a while and was forgotten. Well, the way I see it you don't leave a man behind, you just don't and that could have happened to any one of them. The flip side to that is when you finally get out of the ghetto, you don't look back!!

he means in a more advance context: JAY-Z, who by the way is my ICON n Idol for many reason, should look back and pay some dues. But I remember jay saying: "I pay ma dues, I made ma moves and I gotta prove, what ever jigga say jigga probably do>.." So jay should write a check and put Dehaven to a task that makes it a complete look back at players that lend a hand.

@Amidat of course , but look at the industry you see more support from rappers down south featuring each other in each others videos, i think even ghost face mentioned he noticed that. we may argue the finer points but environment is a factor, some sub-cultures are more family oriented than others. this goes beyond America, every culture in the world has somewhat generalized characteristics that differ less in individuals from other places.

I normally don't post comments on these type videos...as they only project one side of the full story that we will truly not know. We all have our favorites...as I've read the comments...and the success of those who we favor in the game creates an illusionary thought that we know these people. No successful person has not made some bad mistakes along the way. Success is created by learning from those mistakes.

It's really no mystery once you understand it. It's just like any other retail situation, like Walmart or McDonald's, the only difference is that, with recording artist in the entertainment business, human beings are the product being sold... Or at least, the image of a human being, his name and likeness. This is a legal way that one becomes property... A slave to whatever entity holds their recording contract.
