Linkara I don't think the goal of the adventurers is to rescue the sister alive, but rather to get her body back before it is completely digested so they can resurrect her.

2 common questions with any fantasy setting with monsters and nasties: 1. "How do i f*k it?" 2. "How do i eat it?" Im glad we finally have a comic/manga that gets to the 2nd question! There is way too much info on the first . . . Also i would love it if the manga ends with them finding out that she could be resurrected from poop, the only reason nobody talks about it is, well, poop, nobody wants to be remembered as 'that dead poop guy."

They aren't going to rescue her Linkara. Recall that earlier they said a person could be revived from 'bits'. They are going to 'rescue' her body before it gets too digested. Then they are going to resurrect her. That is why the dwarf's comment about slow digestion is reassuring to the party. They will have some time to get to the body before it is fully digested.

"The rejected Power Rangers villain". Vyce's dramatic turn just screams " You're lucky I require your aid otherwise I would destroy you where you stand".

Uh...Linkara? About your complaint about the improbability of the sister's survival? Yeah, she's dead. She died by being eaten by the dragon. Resurrection can only happen if you have a corpse around, which puts a time limit on the thing. On the plus side, it does get deeper as the story goes along. Laios' party meets orcs who survive in the dungeon's depths, and gets on good terms with them. There's also other adventuring parties (whom may or may not want vengeance for their robbed corpses), and the mad wizard who started the dungeon themselves show up to throw a spanner in the works. ...Yes, I read it. Yes, I'm a fan of it.

Having just finished binge reading it, almost every point of snark does get surprisingly addressed. -Warrior guy is weird, simple as that, basically if you want to know what happens when a warrior class puts points into a knowledge skill...here you go. -Ownership of the dungeon, while not a major point early on it does come up and looms heavier as the series goes on -Their not getting more food in the beginning, don't consider it much of a spoiler but they were on about the 5-6 floor when they wiped against the dragon, basically one level away from to that point deepest explored part so it's basically like scaling Everest but with corridors and monsters. -The question of consuming humanoid monsters, and even asking what qualifies as humanoid, this is both played for laughs and other times umm...not so much. -Resurrection, exactly how resurrection "in" the dungeon works is fleshed out as story goes on. -The setting does treat the dungeon as an ecosystem...and what happens when that ecosystem is screwed with by either outsiders or...others. -If you not into the nitty gritty the series dives into you might not care for it, but if you do I think you'll never look at a D&D style dungeon the same way again. Because the writers put so much thought in ever layer of the setting's ecosystem it is truly impressive and combines alot of real world ecology into an otherwise normal fantasy setting and uses that extra information to move the story and plot forward.

I'm glad Harvey also sees the similarities between Vyce and Zedd.

7:40, Indeed Linkara, there's a few fantasy-like cooking shows out there such as Feast of Fiction, Nerdy Nummies, and maybe some others out there, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

This is… a really curious manga. I love it! It's so good, even more so with the whole cooking of the monsters. Very good, really! ~Watch the episode first~ I once had that argument in a Pathfinder campaign I was hosting. It took us two hours to dig through every minute detail of magic and planes. Long story short, resurrection from poop is impossible because it has been entirely chemically changed, they're no longer a whole body, and the other previous foods mixed in with them would nullify the magic. Also, time reversal on said poop will not fix it, as you're not reversing time itself but rather time's effect on said poop, so you only get more chunky poop at the end. True resurrection also would not work, though technically a Wish (which doesn't resurrect but changes reality), trapping a soul and resurrecting said soul in a new vessel (which is soul manipulation), and similar methods would technically work, though none of them are actual resurrection. (I'm sure none of you wanted to know all of that, but I wasted two hours researching this, so...you're welcome.) Margaret, too? Craaaaaaaaaap. And now the Entity knows they're there and can probably easily find them through any little pocket dimension now that it knows to look there. Smooth. Well, first, he needs to know about The Invasion from Within (: D) and THEN he can summon the strength to fight The Entity off. Still, I'm sure it won't be too hard to prove to Linkara that he's being controlled...if he'll listen for a minute. (Also, yay, more Margaret!)

This is by far my favorite story arc, I hope you keep up this amazing work!

Regarding your (joking) question about a KZfaq channel that makes dishes from fantasy universes, Binging with Babish occasionally does special episodes where he makes food items from fictional shows, including fantasy works like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Game of Thrones. I think he was also the first guy to attempt to make the Mulan Szechuan Sauce mentioned in Rick and Morty before McDolands themselves made some more for people like Harmon and Roiland.

Given the circumstances I don't know if The Entity is f**king with us or genuinely wants to do a review. Give Linkara some credit, no matter what he's got a job to do.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!! Entity Linkara was scary, but Entity Margret SCARED THE CRAP OUTTA ME!! Plus this puts one weird line from the Holy Terror episode into a new, chilling, context. The other universe's Margret said "you know YOU'RE the real evil one!" And she responded with "yeah, yeah, now get outta my Universe ya big baby!" NOW WE KNOW!!! I knew that line meant something!

Storyline is the best! Keep up the great work!

Feast of Fiction is a channel that makes fictional dishes. Mostly anime and cartoons. I've honestly made some of them and they're delicious. Spaghetti tacos are the best.

Well that answers my question about why Margaret wasn't acting up when Linkara had clearly gone darker than he'd been during the arc where she shut down in fear of him going dark. Seeing a character I've thought of as being so pure and wholesome possessed by the entity is simultaneously sickening and delightful. Just like seeing Linkara himself possessed by it is.

Oh also after they free Linkara...how are they going to free Margaret? Yeah The entity can't do much trapped in the gun but that sucks for her too.

I JUST realized this, but I don't think the Delicious in Dungeon protagonists are expecting the sister to be alive inside of the dragon when they get to her. All they need is to recover a part of her body so they can use resurrection magic on it. So that's why the dragon being a slow digester is important - as long as some of her is left, they can get her back, whereas if her body is completely destroyed, there'll be no way back for her. Also explains why she couldn't just try to escape from the sleeping dragon in the however-long-it-takes-them-to-get-there time - it was actually smart enough to kill its food.

7:20 They did have "more food", but lost it in a booby trap. And they don't have Bags of Holding... meaning the have to CARRY all those provisions surrounded by booby traps and hostiles. As for the dragon.. the lunatic mage likely had something to do with it.

I'm reminded of the sarlac pit. 1000 years to be digested, as if someone actually counted it out.

Wow, I'm really surprised at how much of this plotline I've gotten right. Also, Vyce helping is weird. Appreciated, but weird.

Maybe Linkara telegraphed the resolution to this arc when he reviewed Exiles earlier this year. Remember when Proteus took over Morph? The team was able to block Proteus so that he could only access Morph's own memories, so that while Morph was dead, Proteus became basically a copy of him. What if The Entity takes over Linkara, but our heroes defeat him by only allowing him access to Linkara's own memories? It gives a resolution while still leaving potential for a future story. Just a theory.

Oh god, Margaret looks so creepy when possessed. So both Margaret and Linkara are possessed... Damn.

Hmm, that last shot in the episode (so SPOILER WARNING). It's of the moon. Are they going to try and go to Comicron One? Vyce would know the ins and outs of that ship pretty well since it used to be his. I doubt that they'll get it up and flying or anything like that, but I feel that we might be heading back to it one last time.

To your question of why didn't they buy more food before they went into the dungeon, it's made clear they did and lost a chuck of it to a trap. A better question would've been if you lost so much food why not stop and go back for more?

Technically it only becomes Cannibalism if you ate your species. So in theory if a Human ate, say an Elf or other humanoid species, it wouldn't be cannibalism. Granted your still eating PEOPLE in this scenario, and that is repugnant in ways beyond just morally, but you get the idea. Also the premise of this manga is quite fascinating.

Because REDACTED DUE TO SPOILERS Also, no explanation as to why a spirit that doesn't exist in the physical world and had long brown hair the first time we saw her suddenly has short hair dyed green? I mean, I'm not complaining, obviously the actress changed her appearance over the years, (either that or it's not the same actress, I can't quite remember her face in her first appearance) but usually Linkara is one to point something like that out.

This is pretty much how NetHack works. There's conventional food to be found (or conjured), but mostly you eat the corpses of your enemies. They can confer certain beneficial (or deleterious) properties too.

These story segments are way more watchable than they should be.

Kind of funny you mention Trails since some of the monsters do drop items that can be used as cooking ingredients and the name of the items imply said items to be either their body parts or something they extract from the monster. For example, some water monsters will drop "fish filets" or "fish eggs" and some bird type monsters will drop "tender poultry" and some monsters drop "juicy bones". Heck in the second chapter, Estelle can even learn to cook food that can be weaponized, one of which is, and I quote "A meatball so spicy one bite'll make you breath fire."

In my first D&D group, we discovered a great way to prepare crab-men--flash boiling! They were in water, so our magic user used a lightning spell, and they all died. We ate well that night.

i'm going to be honest. i came to reading this story for the dorky monster eating adventures and the story fecking evolved from that to intrigue. like.....imagine attack on titan's bit where all of a sudden it goes from TITANSTITANSTITANS to "there's an old and deeply rooted conspircay in the bla bla bla" but instead of feeling jarring, it feels natural, like you're just reading about the world
