Ingredients:
500g boneless beef, cut into cubes
1/2 cup yogurt
2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon papaya paste (tenderizer)
2 teaspoons red chili powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
2 tablespoons mustard oil
2 tablespoons fried onion paste
Salt to taste
Skewers (if grilling)
Instructions:
Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, papaya paste, red chili powder, turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala, mustard oil, and fried onion paste.
Add salt to taste.
Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4-6 hours, or overnight for best results.
Prepare for Cooking:
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
Cooking:
Grilling: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated beef onto skewers. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred.
Pan Frying: Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until the meat is tender and fully cooked, about 15-20 minutes.
Oven: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Spread the marinated beef on a baking tray and bake for about 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through.
Serve:
Serve hot with naan or paratha, and garnish with lemon wedges and fresh coriander.
