You can't even imagine how right you can be, here, 1300 miles eastward, although we have much slimmer wages, all about these laptops costs some 10 to 18 % more, sometimes even more ! Stay healthy !

This G3 is by far the best bang for the buck I could get here in my country , it costed me 21000 MXN (880 usd equivalent) . The Lenovo Y540 with the same specs cost 36000 MXN . For the price that I paid for this G3 at most you get the Nvdia 1050 here so far In very happy with the G3 . No issues whatwoever as for now

@@arda7881 the cooling is not bad , with a cooling pad I get temperatures of 78c WITHOUT undervoltage so with UV it should be way better. The screen is not bad , it can play HDR videos with color good enough .

@@JarrodsTech can you help me? I have a Dell G3 3590 with a very similar configuration (it`s nearly the same except it has 24Gb RAM and 525Gb SSD). You`ve mentioned in the video that it is tend to be warm during running games. Could you recommend any kind of cooler pad which is worth to use it with? Secondly, for my previous laptop (Lenovo Ideapad Y510p) I have a vacuum cooler alongside with. One of my colleagues (whom I do not really respect as a computer pro) said it can ruin my notebook`s inside cooler fans. It has a potmeter where you can adjust the power of the vacuum cooler`s fans, but there`s no way to measure the speed of it of course, moreover, there`s no way to determine the speed of the coolers inside the notebook. Therefore he said that if the vacuum cooler`s fans are faster than the coolers inside the notebook, it can ruin the thole of the coolers inside the laptop. What do you say, is it true or it is just a fantasy of his simple mind? And what do you think, is it worth to keep this vacuum cooler alongside with Dell G3? Because in case of the Ideapad Y510p there were blow-holes on the side of the notebook where you can easily fit the vacuum cooler, but in case of Dell G3 it`s not so simple because as far as I see it has a blow-hole right below the hinge and in my view it couldn`t be simple to fit the vacuum cooler there because of the hinge itself....or what is your recommendation at all, what is the best cooler to use alongside with Dell G3 3590? Mobic it’s pretty good for gaming tho I wouldn’t recommend for like long lasting sessions, once u unplug the battery dies in like 1 hour

Sanctum Beats If I’m downloading a game then I would keep it on for the whole night, and also if u would like to play games on it, then I recommend plugging it to a wall or else you will get really bad framerate. And I don’t get any issue with closing the laptop

Yea it heats up but I just undervolt (-125v but 150 works but blue screens r there) and cooling pad. Yea gaming laptops in general usually don’t last that long when gaming on battery, but considering this has a small battery, the battery life is shorter than most. The freezing happens to me and yes u do restart but to me it doesn’t even matter, as long as I can play my games I’m good. I have the model as show in the vid and I’m considering changing next year to prob a msi gs66 or anything premium, and I did buy the laptop around Jan-feb.

Sorry I don't understand.

If you liquid metal a laptop it becomes warmer to the touch because more heat is being moved trough the heatsink but the CPU and GPU will be cooler. With thermal paste it is cooler to touch but your CPU and GPU will be warmer because less heat is being moved through the heatsink. Unless you give a laptop extra fans to just cool the interior you have 1 drawback for the other. I personally prefer warmer exterior and better performance. But I know many people who prefer worse performance while having a cooler exterior.

@@Arutemysu you could always use external mouse and keyboard so a warner exterior doesn't become a major issue while gaming

2019 acer predator helios 300 has very good thermals and it uses non maxQ gtx 1660ti

Should do ok, the SSD will be key unless you're creating 720p proxy files in Premiere (I do this to speed up the editing process then export at 4K). Otherwise current gen i5 should be ok for the editing process, will take a big longer to actually export vs i7 as that's more CPU heavy. Colour gamut was a bit lower than I'd like for video editing personally, not sure how the 144Hz panel compares though.

I want to, there is just a lot of other content in the to-do list at the moment, it's never ending 😰

The Nitro 5 will have higher CPU power limit and better fan control, so will likely perform better if other specs are equal.

I should mention I would be primarily gaming (world of tanks, likely battlefield and red dead 2 for example) with some moderate productivity uses on the side. I am looking for solid FPS and good-to-high graphics settings but no need for Uktla as I prioritize frame rate for anything multiplayer.

I have it for 8 months and I have played Battlefield 1, Watch Dogs, Rise of the Tomb Raider, World of Tanks, World of Warships, Rome 2 Total War. So quite of a usage scenario. Of course I use it for Microsoft Office, KZfaq, Internet browsing, as well. I am very satisfied with the laptop so far. I cannot say about your specs that you are talking about but I wanted to give you my point of view for my case. Maybe I helped you a little bit. Cheers!

That room temp will definitely make a big difference to what I'm showing, generally 1c increase to room temp = 1c increase to internals, undervolting / cooling pad would be your best bet.

That's a quite hot room! I would say it would be nice to get a better thermal paste and undervolt it.

You could lower you room temp to 20 which would drastically improve thermals. Also a cooling pad and an under colt will make temp great

Jarrod'sTech the main problem I’m having is a no sleep issue that seems to be shared between 3 I’ve exchanged out as well as the display at my work. All are the model I mentioned. None of the computers will reliably sleep/or sleep period on any of the available bios. If you still have the unit would you mind telling me what bios it is on and if it sleeps properly? I would greatly appreciate it. Currently working with Dell to correct the issue.

That's a good feature, I didn't know you could do that, thanks. It doesn't make sense to me that the behavior I observed was not a bug. It makes zero sense that I can enable it and leave it on with the software open, but that when you try and do the same thing with the software closed it spins up then is like "yeah nah mate" 🤔

Cheers! I think the Y540 will perform better, the CPU power limit here was lower, plus the Y540 lets you disable Optimus which will further increase performance a bit in some games.
