Excellent video. There are so many variations of this model, I finally found this after much searching. I mixed up my screws and eventually lost two of them however, I was finally able to upgrade to 8gb memory. My computer only has one memory slot. Also for those who have a CD-ROM drive there are two small screws which need to be removed after sliding out the CD Drive in order to fully remove the back cover. Again, Awesome video.

Hello , thank you for video it helped. I have 1 question , i have same laptop only instead 4 RAM like on video i have 8 RAM and i dont have SSD only 2T harddrive. The problem is that laptop works super slow , even to open simple folder it takes ages.

Likely faulty hard drive. This video will help kzfaq.info/get/bejne/atZlnal137zbhas.html If you go to the task manager and see the disk at 100% utilization, then you will know it's for sure the hard drive.

Hey man, amazing vid, it was very informational, but I installed an ssd into the hard drive slot that was empty, so can I use both of the drives or do I have to go into bios to set the new one ?

You want the OS on the SSD. This video will help. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/atZlnal137zbhas.html you'll want to format the other drive after using the disk manager.

Thank you so much I was finding this exact model but I was getting the separate keyboard and back panel videos. Also I have a question I opened the laptop to clean the fan, so I detached the fan out and blew air though my mouth and also did a pretty rough cleaning using a small brush should I not spin it while cleaning and will using the brush break the motor?

Don't blow with your mouth. The moisture can cause damage. Spinning the fan won't cause any harm

Hello I just bought a laptop and am relatively new to technology I was look for videos Because I noticed my laptop was getting increasingly hot and I check the air vent for my laptop and it showed just a tiny bit of air activity getting through when I took it apart there was this type of black paper covering up the air vent Is that normal?

I have a dell inspiraon 15-73 git it free from my sister and it is so slow. I did a fresh factory restart. Had to downlpad wimdows from a lab top that had a lot of problems . I fear this is why my fell is so laggy and slow. Help how can I fix ?

I don't recommend mismatch sticks of RAM, but it will work, just not at it's full speed.

I have 15 5501 and I CAN'T stick my fingers in the front. Minde is sealed from the back and its so tight not even a small thing can get it open. What do I do???

Hey man, today my Dell inspiron 15 3505 stopped working suddenly, it keeps saying hard drive isn’t installed, but I’m pretty sure mine came with an ssd that was working a few hours ago, now I’m not really sure where that SSD is supposed to be located, and sadly I’m still not sure where that’s supposed to be located, would you happen to know?

@@ItsBinhRepaired well, I managed to locate the SSD, took it out, I’m buying an enclosure for NVME SSD’s and when that arrives I’ll try booting it up again with the SSD, sadly I can’t take out the metal plate attached to the SSD but I’m hoping that doesn’t pose much of a problem, if that doesn’t work I’ll make a quick vid then.

@@ItsBinhRepaired ok, so the enclosure worked for half a second, the thing that’s blocking my path forward is the metal plate attached to the SSD, same one I see in your video, because of the metal plate I can’t connect the SSD completely and I fear that brute forcing it might break the SSD instead. How do I take the screw that connects the SSD to the metal plate? What Screwdriver do I need

I can give you the answer, but if you can't find the answer from the video, that tells me you don't know what RAM even looks like, let alone how to get to it, which means the answer won't be of much use.
