yeah, saying “I’ll try to avoid major spoilers” and then showing the big twist cutscene at the end of the game is just absurd. Now, I think spoilers in a video like this makes a ton of sense and should be shown to give full context, but saying that they won’t be there just for them to be there is dumb. instead of saying “I’ll try to avoid major spoilers” he should have said “major spoiler warning, because spoilers are needed to give context to the information we’ll be discussing”. because doing this is just lying to lead people into a false sense of security for a bit more watch time.

@@unamedzube7xb297 but that was a warning for minor spoilers. which some people are okay with. for instance, something like, say, Noelle being a party member, is far less of a spoiler than Kris being the Knight. I’d be okay with knowing the former and not at all okay with knowing the latter. By saying that he’d avoid major spoilers, he entirely lured the audience into a false sense of security for a bit more watch time.

I feel like those pixelated Susie's and Ralsei's heads are suppose to be the old version of when a team member dies since It Is Cyber World, meaning that If you die. Shouldn't you explode to pixels?

My guess for the Noelle walking sprite at 17:20 is it was meant to be used during the scene where Noelle and Kris are walking side by side in that long hallway. From where she is in those scenes, she would look left to face Kris while walking. She looks like she's looking left, not down to me. If you don't see it, pay attention to the antlers.

That was my first thought as well, but based on the filename being [noeyes] instead of [headturned] or whatever it's probably more likely to be what was stated in the video or some other such thing where the point is her hiding her expression or whatever

18:23 all of the stuff right here are used in an unused Queen attack. In this attack, some search results would appear around the battle box with words typed into them. Which ever word was typed into the search then turns into an attack based on that search.

19:45 this is actually very interesting! The calculator being blue with the eyes shaped screen, It's very likely for it to represent the queen as the world came back to a simple room. It's highly probable the queen wasn't planned to make it into the castle town, and maybe she was even planned to be an antagonist from beginning to end at this point.

Why does a calculator make you think all that, kris takes everything in the room after you leave so they can take them to castle town, its as simple as it being queen in the light world, thats it, just like how lancer is a jack of spades and rouxls a rules card, that being said, it is strange she was changed to be a laptop, as her screen in her face looks to be calculator screen text, its all just very confusing

At 17:20 I know what that sprite is for. Sometimes Noelle will have a spite which has her head slightly tilted to the right, usually when she's looking at something peculiar (like Susie's tail) or as a way to express confusion. I believe this animation is that sprite but from a side perspective of her. I could be wrong but that makes the most sense to me.

personally I think it's related to the fact the track in-game is slightly different to the one on the OST (pay attention to the very end before the loop, the one in-game has some extra noises)

The shift from 160 Bpm to 152 is quite a noticeable difference for me. You can tell when a song has a different bpm if you can keep track of how many beats occur in a sample

Disagree, more content ≠ better. It felt like there was no weight to any events and story didn’t feel very deep. Gameplay wise chapter two is better but story and theme wise chapter one destroys it.

@@banuner_ people keep on forgetting that toby is working on different parts of all the chapters at once, i believe chapter 3 was at 30% completion as of the last blog post before chapter 2 released (when it was 80% completed)

18:18 I remember that for the 6th anniversary of Undertale, Toby Fox did a livestream where there were a bunch of changes made to Deltarune chapter 1 (For instance, Top Chef exploded when you left the room he was in). It might be the cake, party hats and so on are leftovers of that anniversary build, though I'm not sure where they showed up.

Monsters, I'm pretty sure, don't show visible injuries unless they're very egregious; they usually just look really tired or melt after fighting too hard. As to explain the expression, for those who don't know, Susie was basically saying that even though the Chaos King was powerful, he wasn't invincible.

11:01 it may seem weird for kris to have his own placeholder, but during testing, you wouldn't want the main character place holder to look like the npc placeholders. At first glance, in a room with other npc's, you wouldn't be able to tell which one the character your playing as is! This is the reason Krisplace exists.

16:42 The one on the right is used in the game: the first portrait room, the orange portrait you click on the left. That is its laughing face, which happens if you wait for the music to make the pictures laugh. If you give Susie the gift, it's supposed to end up in her room in Castle Town but the flag (307) is force set to 1 during the swan ride (so it thinks you gave the gift to Ralsei). There is unused text for the swan ride if flag 307 is set to other numbers, and Susie's gift is a small Susie doll that goes in the gap at the top of the room. You can see it if you set Flag 307 to 2, which is line 860 in the Chapter 2 save.

16:15 It could be possible that these were planned to be used in the (spoiler alert for alternate route) snowgrave route where you call out for Suise and Ralsei at the end of the spamton fight as it shows icons of their face in the act menu. If it was the case i would assume they removed for it being somewhat humorous in a more tense moment
