Amplifiers, receivers of the Sansui AU series from 60-70-80 have a "special" sound. Production of prototypes, selection of elements took place not only in laboratories and through measurements, but also through auditions .... Hence their "special" - a specific sound.

I have one in line for refurbishment. There has been a recent and rather dramatic jump in the price of old high end analog amps here in Japan. I was lucky enough to get my 9900 just barely before the price jump. The side access to the jacks and speaker connections is superior to back unit access. Oh so good. Love it!!

Good sound impression one of the few, most stereo-equipment video's have such a bad sound impression, you just can't guess how the sound is really like. Here it is...its still youtube of course but Its a good first impression of this amplifier.

Hello Friend! Much of the blame is due to cameras that are unable to record bass below 40Hz. My first videos were horrible because of the old cameras I had. If I could redo all the videos again it will be great. Hug

Hi!! If you really don't have space, buy 8 ohms books, if you have space, buy 8 ohms towers, as they are cheaper and have a better result compared to a book of the same value. hug!!

Douglas, peguei um 9900 recentemente, se puder me ajudar tenho duas duvidas: primeiro no seu video, o volume do tocadiscos esta quase o mesmo do auxiliar e tuner, aqui no meu, mesmo mudando todas as chaves de impedancia e voltagem esta bem baixo, praticamente metade da potencia. E em segundo lugar se vc conhece alguem que faz a manutenção destes aparelhos em SP, ja vi varios capacitores e kits de reparo interessantes na net pra deixar ele zero, valeu!

Olá Edu! Amigo o volume do phono depende da tensão que sai da sua capsula. cada capsula tem um nivel. Eu não teria com indicar alguem nessa região. Abraço!

Olá Diego! amigo tem icones de várias marcas, eles chegaram a um nivel tão alto que não tem como comparar um com outro no audio, porque vai parecer igual, no audio o topo é 100% eles chegaram a 99,9999999999% entende não tem como um humano perceber. O mais expetacular dos amplificadores é da Sansui. Abraço!

Nice man, I have an AU7900 that I cannot get enough of. I have a quick question. I want to add a subwoofer to my system. How do I connect a sub to the back of these sansui integrates. Sorry new to some of this. I have a pair of JBL L5 speakers as my main speakers. Can I use my integrated pre-amp outputs to connect to the subwoofer?

Hello! This device is not to connect subwoofers, buy good speakers ex: Monitor Audio PL-300 = 36hz @ -3db (only recommend this model that manufacturer) that you do not need subwoofers. Subwoofers are only to be used with movies. Be aware that if the manufacturer does not declare the "-3db" is because the measurement was made in -6db so you have to add 30% ~ 33%. Thank U!

Justin D'Agostino Hey Justin, you need to split the pre out jack (on the back of the amplifier). www.connectic.fr/Adaptateur_RCA.htm Something like the second image on that page. With the amplifier off, plug the rca splitter into the pre out (2 male rca into 4 female rca). From the splitter run one set of rca cables into the main in of the amplifier and the other set into the subwoofer. Sansui's are magical and have their own unique sound and I've become addicted. Douglas is right in that if you have a set of full range speakers you don't need a sub unless you love thick bass like I do.

+Justin D'Agostino I have a 9900 and needed some extra punch to fill a very large living room. I bought a powered Subwoofer, just hooked up the RCA cables directly to the Pre Out jacks and Bingo! The amp volume controls the sub with the main speakers and the vol on the Sub balances the pair. The best upgrade I made yet, hope you did it..

Justin D'Agostino these are not to run subwoofers.... Still if you are looking for a lil more purified bass.... Get yourself a pair of bowers and wilkins towers... They will do you good.

Velho, se eu não tivesse fudido de grana, podia até tá individadinho eu ia até aí pega este amplificador. Você sabe me falar qual toca discos iria bem com este amplificador? Pra um ambiente de no máximo 30m² com 2 caixas, pode se novo ou antigo. Sem querer ser chato mas já sendo.

Felipe da Silva Braga Olá Felipe! Obrigado! Esse aparelho não é meu.. Sobre toca discos, o que tem que casar com o amp é a capsula, então vários toca discos servem. O mais importante em um sistema são as caixas, compre alguam com valor acima de 15k formato torre alguma que tenha o corte inferior abaixo de 35hz@-3db. Abraço!

Felipe da Silva Braga Book Shelf é para um consultório, um escritório, um quarto ou seja para quem não tem espaço para ter uma caixa de verdade, para set principal tem que ser caixas o maior possível para conseguir descer a menos de 35hz@-3db e mesmo assim é pouco o ideal seria descer a 30hz@-3db afinal a corda mais grossa do doble bass produz 31hz.... Para uma caixa tipo book que tem o corte de 55hz@-3db(as boas) é fisicamente impossível tocar essa corda do doble bass, na verdade uma book não consegue nem tocar a primeira corda do baixo elétrico que é 40hz. Uma caixa com um corte real de 35hz@-3db vai bem com qualquer aparelho, o problema é que as industrias fabricam uma caixa de 45hz@-3db ai o setor de marketing dá enfeitada no catalogo e declara ela como 35hz... tem que tomar muito cuidado para não comprar gato por lebre. Abraço!

forget people about the new handmade (they said)tube pre or power amps and stuff like this..let it go!you better stay and focus on these legendary transistors!!!nothing compares with the transistors from the 70's and 80's.only the 60's tube amps like fisher or hh scott matters..i don't think so they sounds better than transistors after all..

ANGIELSKI It depends on who likes it. Taste, hearing, sensitivity is different. One likes the sound of a tube and another transistor or synthesizer. One likes ham and the other schnapps .... POLSKI Zależy co kto lubi. Smak, słuch, wrażliwość ma każdy inną. Jeden lubi dzwięk lampowca a inny tranzystora czy syntetyzatora. Jeden lubi szynkę a drugi sznapsa ....
