I love the juxtaposition in the Vox vs. Alistor song. Vox starts out alone in his station, saying Alistor will wish he never came back, then going on air to the public. Alistor starts out talking to the public, and after the black out, it feels like Vox is alone watching and listening to Alistor's closing part.

While it is interesting to think of vox's old life as being a hacker, it's most likely that he was a TV salesman, seeing as his whole gimmick is pretty much manipulating people into buying extremely expensive stuff for little to no reason. Fun fact: in Val's apartment, you can see a picture of what val and Vox looked like when they first entered hell. Vox appears to have been a Box TV with a huge part at the back. And when those were still around and very common, the concept of hacking didn't really exist. So he was most likely a manipulative salesman who who lied and controlled other to get what he wants... I mean I thought it was obvious, why else is it that when he's in public, he sounds like a seedy car salesman who is trying to get you to buy expensive and crappy car?

Something I noticed: if you look closely when Val and Vox are talking, right before Val tells him that Alastor is back, you can see a framed picture of both Vox and Val when they were 'younger': Vox has a larger, classic TV head and Val as both of his feather antennae. Interesting that Vox's appearance apparently evolves with the times.

Oh hell yeah, I've been excited for more of your Hazbin reactions! Having now seen the entire season and knowing all the big twists and turns, I'm am SO excited for the rest. I don't have much to say about this episode other than Vox is hilarious, Alastor's demon form was absolutely terrifying, and Sir Pentious is the best snek boi. Edit: Oh yeah I also love that Vox's voice distorts when he gets mad. And his electric powers are so cool. I know he's probably not as powerful as Alasotr, but I'm sure he's got some strong lightning power. Also yes, Velvette's line about her model needing to pull herself back together is in reference to the fact that Sinners can't permanently die unless an angelic weapon kills them. Also I saw someone point out that Val actually squeaks a little when he talks because apparently some moths can squeak. It's hard to hear, but once you hear it it's hard to unhear it lol. Also that Alastor doodle was drawn by Viv years ago, I'm so happy they included it lol Edit: I love our girl Charlie and the scene is funny, but making Angel play the drug dealer was probably a bit insensitive considering he's an addict. Going from what we see of them, Vox and Valentino are kind of manipulative towards each other simultaneously. Vox is able to use Valentino's desire to look respectable to keep his homicidal temper in check (while also using him to dispose of his least useful employees for extra measure). Val, at least when he isn't losing his sh*t over Angel, can use Vox's obsessive hatred of Alastor to provoke him into making a fool of himself trying to one up the radio demon while getting reminded of how he depends on him and Velvette for his success, which is supported by the sly smiles he and Vel have when Alastor boasts about how Vox'd "be powerless without the other Vees". They're a slightly more stable-but toxic relationship in a more subtle way that can be hard to see on first watch.

I don't know if you noticed but when the hypnosis didn't work the first time Vox brightens his screen for the part that scratches the brain so well.

I have an odd little theory, it's most likely that Valentino was kind of a backup option for the Vs, think about it. The others revolve around technology and media. Vox controls the most things with screens. Velvette represents cellphones and social media apps like tiktok and Twitter. Valentino does not represent any kind of Technology. Alastor on the other hand does represent technology, he represents the radio. Another interesting little tidbit, look at als name next to vox's. Alastor/Vox? Audio/Visual? It's most likely that they were friends in the past, but something happened which caused bad blood to form. What we do know however is that Vox wanted Al in the V's and Al refused... Now chances are that if Al did join the V's he would most likely of had to change his name choose something starting with a v, some people think Venison... But the other choice actually sheds some light on a topic. Valastor would have most likely been Al's name had he joined. Funnily enough that name just so happens to have the shortened nickname of Val... You know the shortened name of Valentino? What if Valentino wasn't supposed to be a member of the V's originally, and with only chosen as a backup option. It would also be really f***** up because Valentino's own name would essentially serve as a reminder that he is the second pick, the "if the popular kid doesn't want to join our team, pick a rando" option. Underneath all of the cruelty and anger and abuse, he might have mental trauma.

I realized after rewatching this. I saw a post about the name of the Vee's that said: "vee" is also a word for a certain type of polyamorous relationship in which one person dates two different people separately who don't have a relationship with each other. So it can be assumed by this and the way they all speak to and about each other that Vox is dating both Valentino and Velvette, but the relationship between Velvette and Val is a working one. SO I just realized, when Alastor says Vox asked him to join his team, maybe Vox was also saying he was interested in Alastor and Al's aroace ass was like, "No way!" Just an idea I had that I'm sure other people thought of first

I really love the difference between Vox's and Al's verses. Vox just tells people what to think and throws around half cooked insults at an impossible to follow pace. Alastor makes genuine observations and asks the veiwers questions at a speed that we can hear him. It really shows the priorities of the two. I'm so late on this one, but.. on the theory that more people have lived and died with radio in their lives, than tv: Radio became wide-spread around 1910. Television overtook radio as the dominant medium around 1950. And we are now in 2024. So radio had around 40 years as the main medium, while TV has been widespread for almost 75 years. But the argument might still be valid if we angle it slightly differently as being radio vs online streaming.

Just from his outfit I can tell Vox was some sort of early TV personality. Unlike Alastor though he's actually intent on keeping up with technology. There's even a picture in the background of one scene where he has an old CRT TV for a head. Man replaced his whole head to keep up with the times.

It was kind of funny listening to Nevaeh speculate on Sir Pentious's seasonal arc knowing how the episode ends. In Native American folklore (I can never remember the specific tribe), there is a creature called the wendigo. It is a cannibalistic spirit, that is often described as a tall and gaunt humanoid. However, some versions portray it with antlers. Now, the legend is from a snowy mountain region, and Alastor is from Louisiana, so that's different, but seeing Alastor's more demonic form, I can't help but wonder if Vivzie was partially influenced by the legend in his design.
