Tomb Kings Bone Dragon Head with Bronze Verdigris Trim

This video looks at how to paint the head of the Tomb King Bone Dragon. The video looks at the textured bone, how to add colour and interest and then how to add verdigris and NMM to the bronze trim.
The following paints were used:
Games Workshop:
Mournfang Brown, XV-88, Morghast Bone, Screaming Skull, Skavenblight Dinge, (Skeleton Horde Contrast opitional)
Kimera Colours: Fallen Grass (Sybarite Green alternative)
Two Thin Coats: Dark Sun (Balor Brown alternative)

It’s somehow simple and less is more whilst being refined and detailed. You make other KZfaq painters seem obvious and over busy. Loved the video as always.

You could do it with a smaller brush I think. It would depend on the model though.

I could be way off, but is it just me or do the palette colours seem a lot darker compared to how they look once applied to the model? Mostly the screaming skull and morghast bone Edit: ridiculous work as usual

It's just because I don't have the painting lamp that close to the palette.

I used an Artis Opus small drybrush, but you can also use a small makeup brush.

I do have some! They are nice and I think would work well for verdigris if you could find a colour match. I do find them a little too matte for the general work that I like to do though, but they certainly have their place.

Those new monsters (and some of those semi old ones) are so huge they do not fit the 100x60 base...

@@demonrichall this scaling up resulted in a need for a new game where all those big minis could fit... AoS. Others are doing the same. Moving away from scale to sell more. Hate it long term. :D

@@demonrichtrue. I mounted a 50mm Chaos Dwarf Taurus or a 100x60 base and it might be perfect. 50x5mm base for Lamassu fits perfectly. Minimal overhang.

Whilst I'm not at a level where I can critise your painting very much, I don't think That metal head thing makes much sense having super shiney bits when immediately adjacent is so heavily weathered in green. If I look at an old Statue, its basically all green with very dark brown almost black metal showing in some places. There isn't much reason I can think of for a section to be so bright and all the rest so heavily greened. Did a skeleton go over and start polishing that thing but then lose interest right away and walk off?
