I wish comparing masks was not about how pretty. They are. I wish you could please compare amount of lights in each mask or strength / wave on the lights, the time to see results etc… that is what makes it a real interesting comparison

Yes! But they not say in the beginning that they figured out that the strength on all the mask are pretty much the same? If that’s the case I don’t care if they are pretty or not. The price point is going to be what I would look at immediately and nothing else

Purchased it over a month ago, it finally arrived. After carefully reading the user manual, it explicitly states “Do Not Use” if your skin complexion is brown or darker. This company is unethical and just plain greedy to make money from charging over $300 for this mask. Why not notify the consumer of your extreme warning before they make the final purchase. Here’s some more BS, they put the user manual inside of a sealed box, so when I complained that because of their strict policy, I’m unable to use the product, they explained that due to their strict sanitation policy, once the seal is broken you can’t return the mask! I then asked, then why put the user manual inside of the sealed box? How am I supposed to read it if I don’t break the seal? I am filing a complaint/dispute with my credit card company and the BBB. And I’m posting everywhere I can to warn people of color about the crooks that run this shady as *uck company.

The dermatologists that reviewed the mask should have had this on the top reasons for NO. A product that doesn't work for all skin colors is not something you should recommend if your subscribers are diverse. This actually says more about the dermatologists reviewing than the product. And it ain't good. Thank you for commenting. Now I (a Black woman) know this product isn't for me and to keep looking.

I don’t have any kind of social media platform, so I’m asking everyone to please spread this very important information. It’s now January 2024 and my credit card company hasn’t resolved this issue yet. Their response is that Visa is a large company and most of the time they do not side with the consumer if and when there is a dispute. If anyone has anything else to suggest, please share it with me, thanking you in advance.

Just a heads up, I've been using the Omnilux face, neck, and hand masks for 2 years now, and suddenly, yesterday the face mask just stopped charging. I contacted the company and they refused to assist because my warranty was over almost a month ago. Warning to all when used consistently it's a great device but you only have 2 years then you're on your own. I was extremely gentle with my mask, in fact, I babied it and kept it in its box when not in use, but it just died 25 months later. This company does not stand behind its products' past warranty and these are expensive devices for most people.

I had the same experience!! Just reported mine would not charge and I have only had for 8 months. Warranty means nothing if they wont stand behind them. I can not locate official Qure lusb c cable so they blamed that. Also was plugging into a power strip which has a dedicated 5v 1 amp usb port, they claim that I was directly plugging into a outlet which is BS. Its no different than using a plugable charger. They wont even answer if I can purchase a official cable and charger form them. It my case it appears to be the usb input on the mask is wore out as any cable I try does not snap in. They asked me for video documentation which I sent and thats when they gave me the above excuses. I think you should make a youtube video of your own documenting your experience. I plan on it. Maybe if they lose a few sales for poor warranty/customer service they will change?

Two of the estheticians I go to use the Dr. Dennis Gross ones as a as on for a facial. I tried it over 4 months every 4 weeks and then I now I need one at home. It’s pricy but it’s worth it. I got the white / rosegold one. Since I bought it I use it everyday, sometimes two times a day. I love that you can use both setting at once. I’m happy with it and the results.

I bought a mask and was disappointed to find out that the three other settings MUST be set through Qure's app. Since I was not happy with this feature I wanted to return the mask. The return policy does NOT allow one to return the mask if the cellophane wrapper around the box has been taken off of the box to see the product. If you have not taken off the cellophane wrapper, from the box, and you want to return it there is a $48 re-stocking fee. This information is not a poor reflection on Dr. Shah and Dr. Maxfield's podcast (I think they have great and reliable content), I just want people to know what to expect when you receive your mask. And by the way, how is one to know how the Qure mask really works without opening the box and reading the instructions?

Agree, Qure customer service sucks. They asked for like 25 videos to prove my mask was “faulty.” It randomly shuts off and the app is terrible.

I don't understand ,the app does not work or the mask itself is not working well? Since u guys purchased it could u clarify what issues u got and what feature the app should provide? I found Qure in playstore app but what exactly is the issue as am a beginner in red light field 😅

@@taim989 According to Qure there are five levels of light therapy. Without the app there are only two that functions without the app. Blue light and red light therapy. The red light therapy option has orange and yellow lighting which does not offer the benefits of red light therapy.

I have been using my qure mask for over a year now and it's very effective. I tried omnilux as well but not the same effectiveness as the qure mask. Also the quality is the same compared to those masks that are too expensive. I am just happy I have this mask that keeps me beautiful and young! 😊

I don’t want a mask that is hard and molded to fit my face. My red light only Omnilux is flexible so I can use it on the backs of my hands and my upper chest.

I agree, the molded mask seems to not come down as far as the jawline, where I want to treat. Another YT tester also likes that the Omnilux can be pulled very close to the skin.

That’s the reason I haven’t bought one yet. Qure is great that it only needs 3 min a day. Omnilux I like that it can be used on other areas of the body. As of now I haven’t invested in one.

In your previous video you mention that blue light may also cause more hyperpigmentation if you're prone to it. Have there been any new studies in the past years that have done more research to this claim and (hopefully) contradict it?

I bought the current body a few years ago and it died just under 1 year. I get it exchanged and the mask they sent must be version 2. It's a great mask that I use all over my body. I use it on my hair, my face, neck and my bad shoulder. I have out it on bruises and it's healed then very quickly. Great investment. I feel like it keeps my skin tone even and a glow. I do take a break from it for a week or so, but then i go back to using it again and my skin really likes that.

I really love my Qure mask. I've had it for almost a year now and I usually use it only 3 minutes per day. The best thing I noticed for me is that it evened out my complexion and it definitely helps with hormonal breakouts.

@@Fangfeaster12nizarol is a brand of ketoconazole fyi. Works amazing for dandruff. I used it for a year or so and my dandruff never came back. That was many years ago. Can feel drying on strands so I focused on the scalp. Highly recommend.

I got a light mask after watching the first video. Both me and my daughter use it. It cost £40 wish is definitely more budget, but it not the cheapest I could find. What sold me on the one I got was it’s unlimited uses. I found so many where it had a countdown but this is unlimited and for me that was a massive pro. Not everyone can afford to buy an expensive mask every 4-6 months

Dr. Gary Linkov has helpful YT videos about low level laser light therapy. He is a hair specialist and does transplants as well, so he’s very knowledge. It helped me choose one and I wish I’d done it earlier.

Being 60+ aged person I wish I had access to this a few years earlier I now use Qure everyday and definitely improving facial skin texture and fine lines. I did research and was tossing up with omnilux and I’m really happy I went with Qure, wireless and only a quick 3 minute treatment is great.

@@LuvlyHannah If her mask is flexible, it’s not the Qure, since that brand is rigid. She could be using either Omnilux, or Current Body. Since those brands offer a Nec & Dec, that would be my guess. I use the Current Body, and like it.

Buyer beware !!!!Currentbody, I believe has a good product. But they only gave me my money back for one mask instead of the two I sent back. The post office told me to put both masks in the box they sent them in and I put the return in the box with the second mask. I also ordered an Eye Perfectir mask bundle with a sleep mask. They sent me the sleep mask without the LED eye perfecting mask. They won’t answer my emails after they said they’d “look into it”. Now I’m out on ver 500.00 dollars. This has been over 2 months ago

I have had two Qure masks. I enjoyed them, but sadly they both stopped charging. The first one after approx 6 months and the second about 3 months. To be fair to Qure, they replaced the first one at no cost at all and little effort but the second time I didn’t even bother contacting them. Bought a currentbody mask instead and it’s been brilliant. Effective and hard wearing. It’s a little work horse 😊

My CurrentBody stopped working 4 months past the warranty period. The problem was with the connection at the edge of the mask. I have googled a fix and found sonmeone else had this problem too.

I prefer a panel over a mask. You can use it on other parts of your body. These two brands are really good. Platinum bio mask plus LED and Celluma Pro LED

The Qure is the first LED mask I purchased. It is great and easy to use. It's only 3min My reservations are that it isn't large enough to cover my whole face, specifically the bottom. The mask gets very dirty on the outside with people finger stains easily. Using it with my eyes closed out of fear of not knowing what will happen if I open my eyes besides "harm." It has a small strap. I am a black woman with braided extensions, so after I put it on it is smashed to my face and around my afrocentric nose. My next purchase will be the omnilux because it looks more comfortable and the coverage area is larger. The extra option of the blue light on the Qure doesn't cancel out my smashed nose feeling when wearing the mask.

Thank you! I was thinking the mask looked tiny in the video. Seems like it could be bigger to accommodate more of the face and other face shapes. It also seemed to have very few lights in the chin area, but maybe it was just the video 🤷‍♀️

Omnilux masks break fairly easily, and are only covered for 2 years. I spent $450 on my contour mask, and the wires became disconnected inside so the mask won’t go on anymore. Because it happened 4 months outside of the two year warranty, now I’m completely out of a mask.

Omnilux is covered for 1 year only. Mine broke at the 2 year mark and the customer support was very nice but politely told me that there's nothing they can do.

Hi, re-iterating a couple of other questions, please could you also talk about then light wavelength and number of bulbs. I recently saw an article saying that the $200-$300 masks commonly available aren’t as good as more professional (“expensive “?!) masks such as Artemis and Aluralight which have over 1,000 bulbs, or Avina with 300. They aren’t brands you hear about on social media, but are they better for having more bulbs? With my Current Body mask having only 66 lights, I sometimes worry that I am ‘spot treating’ the parts of my face where the bulbs sit, even though it would be a few mm different each time, and would more bulbs be better?

I was keen after watching this video, and then I went online to read the Qure reviews from independent people. The device stops charging after 2 months, is the continuous complaint and the company refuses to take returns if the packaging has been opened...how else would you get the product out?🤨🤦

Watching this as I am doing my morning Qure routine 😆 I don’t think I’ve even had it 6 months yet but I really like it. Even though it’s not flexible, I still use it all over my body, I’m going to get my moneys worth. I’ve seen a huge difference in my hands and muscle soreness. Face is way more evened out and acne is gooone

Does this mask benefit the eye area (crow’s feet, fine lines, texture, etc)? It’s hard to tell if the placement of the bulbs helps that area. Thanks!

It's been a while since I've seen your previous video on led masks but I do think there's more to cover when talking about the quality of a mask, ie, exact wavelengths which have been shown to be effective, the number of diodes, etc. Just a thought for next time!

I have the currentbody one, I like the flexibility of the material and I do see results. They also give you a few adaptors so you can use it when you are in different parts of the world (I did not realize how important that is once I got the IRestore with just a US plug...and I live in EU)

I have an omnilux and think it’s best in the bunch. Worth every penny! But I’m also a religious sunscreen user, and very consistent with skincare and treatments! If you’re not, I wouldn’t waste your $$.

I bought a red lamp with different red (infra and visible) but with the RIGHT WATTAGE. I think that also makes a difference.

How many lights per mask would be effective enough to improve skin? Some have more or less then others. What’s the standard minimum that would be advices to purchase any mask?

From personal experience, I would definitely agree that these masks complement what you're doing in your skincare routine. The Dr. Dennis Gross led mask has given my skin that "wow" factor to the point where people will stop me frequently to ask me what I use on my skin. My only complaint with the Dr. Dennis Gross mask (other than price) is the strap. It's very slick and slides easily. I probably have to adjust it weekly. Overall it's not a big deal but had I know about the Qure mask first, I would have picked that one over Dr. Dennis Gross just because of the strap. But I'm happy with the mask I have. I did open the door once for someone while wearing this and they were absolutely mortified. It was hilarious.

I have been using my mask for just over 2 years now, my Husband bought it for me as a gift for my birthday. It has been a god send, my skin is the best it has ever been. I’ve saved so much money in visits to my beautician and it is so much more convenient using it at home when I have three minutes to myself. Love my Qure mask!!

Love your videos, your style, and the manner in which you disseminate information. Thank you. Just watched this and am considering purchasing something. Still doing research, though. I noticed that there aren't many lights around the mouth area. This is my worst area, as I used to have dimples, and now they are fjords. Would any of the facial devices address these crevasses? Are the LED's on hair helmets the same and could they be interchangeable? Seems like a viable option. Thanks in advance for any input, I appreciate the feedback.

You can multi task, so that you're not wasting time doing just the light therapy. Listen to youtube video, audiobook, music. Or meditate / relax before falling asleep. Think about something you need to think about. Do it during a break between cleaning house. Or while waiting for laundry.

Angie of Hot and Flashy did a really detailed review on her channel, where she compared the density and location of the bulbs as well as other factors. It would be nice to hear what the Drs think about that, but I'm with you that I think those factors might really make a difference.

Some Utubers have figured out how many lights are in each mask and wave or bulb strength? They contacted the companies etc. I think that is probably an important part in deciding on a mask?

It usually has it in the product description, I have the omnilux and the amount of lights and frequency was in the description. There was a You tuber I think the channel was hot and flashy, they had complied a chart of number of lights, frequency cost and something else. The information may be out dated now.

I have had this mask for over a year and I use it almost every day. I only have a few complaints with it: the app stopped working altogether after about 9 months. It's fine, the settings weren't really that custom. I just use the red light most of the time and then the blue light a few times/week. The hard plastic is good for build quality but it actually makes it a bit uncomfortable for me and my big-ass nose. Otherwise I like it a lot

I’ve got kind of a silly question. Hoping to get the Qure LED mask next month. I have fine, curly/wavy brunette hair. Could I use this mask on my scalp for hair growth, instead of buying that expensive hair cap? I ordered a Qure mask and after three weeks sent an email inquiring where it was. They sent a reply that it was back ordered. I emailed again and his time, they said it wouldn’t arrive for five more weeks! So I emailed them three times and asked them to cancel the order and refund my credit card. They just keep sending me the same form email response. There is no number to call either. I am getting suspicious that it might be a scam.

Wouldn’t you want to compare the number of bulbs that each mask has as that might effect the coverage and therefore the outcome and that they do or do not emit the recommended frequency of light to be therapeutic. Are we to assume that all the products you have tried are equal in those categories?

Is there a setting that allows you to keep the red LED on but keep infrared off? I've read that infrared can worsen hyperpigmentation especially for us olive tones who are also prone to melasma

What I hate about these led masks is that they have very few lights on the nose so if you want to reduce lots of redness on the nose, you are spending 2 times for the face and nose which is too much time plus I can't do my washing up etc., have to stay lied down for the nose. Why would the developers not think of that?!

Has anyone else had trouble charging the mask? Qure made me video my efforts to charge the mask to ensure I was doing everything right. Then they told me the problem was that I wasn’t using their adapter. I pointed out that they DO NOT SEND AN ADAPTER, and they finally sent a replacement. Guess what? The replacement won’t charge. I am so frustrated!

You didn’t even mention the most important reason why I bought my Qure mask a year ago: you only use the Qure mask for 3 minutes a day. I decided that 3 minutes every day was something I could stick to. And I have not missed a day.

The Qure mask does sound interesting. I’ve been using the Omniluxe for about a year. I like it, but the most important feature is that it’s FDA cleared. I want to protect my eyes. I couldn’t find anything on the Qure site about FDA or eye safety, so this mask will be a hard pass for me.

I have read that it is harmless, especially if you keep your eyes closed. I think these physicians would have considered that before basically endorsing the entire genre as they have.
