Your best bet is to always have the national weather radar on. The National Weather Service is your best defense

Praying for the Gulf coast in Texas... It floods so easy in Texas Gulf and into Houston terrible. We have friends there that lost everything In Hurricane Harvey. People are wise to board up close up , evacuate!!!! This is just the beginning of hurricane season!!! All coastal states need to be ready this summer!! No fooling around! Just 6 inches of Hurricane water will damage a car engine immediately, it's all salt water. Should be a CAT 1 hurricane, but the power behind water is strong.... Be sure to gas up when you guys can!!! Looks like fuel & food is not available. Get a cooler with ice and water and snacks for 4 days. Have cash, if power goes out, you cannot access your bank cards or credit cards without power. Be sure to have cash guys, just in case you get stuck Prayers for safety ...... 🙏✨

Nueces County Judge Connie Scott orders mandatory evacuation of visitors in Port Aransas area by noon Sunday. Double check this out. Nueces County Judge Connie Scott has issued a mandatory evacuation order for all visitors in the area by tomorrow, July 7th, at noon. A voluntary evacuation is also being recommended at this time for any residents with mobility or health conditions, special needs or other conditions that would make evacuation difficult in the event of a mandatory evacuation.

My grandson actually works on that ferry. He's getting some time off. The family is battened down as much as possible. They are blocks away from Ocean Blvd in CC. Prayers for protection for the whole area.

Port Aransas don’t play around. They were hit with a hurricane some years back and it destroyed the whole town. It was devastating

My family and friends left Port Aransas this morning at 7:30am headed back to Austin due to the mandatory non-resident evacuation. Yesterday we had lunch and drinks right there in town and things were still pretty hopping. Been coming to Port-A since the mid 70’s, it’s a special place and will be hoping and praying that damage, if any is minimal. I❤Port-A!! 🙏🏻

I saw a Cybertruck myself a few days ago. They look like a tank 😳🫢 No thank you😜People are smart to get out of town because you really never know if the hurricane will turn a different direction at the last minute plus the winds and rain can be super dangerous !

Once the hurricane hits you need to go west. Hurricanes throw tornadoes to the directions of the bands of rain - normally north and east.

The news briefing lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick puts out the three main cities who are going to get the heaviest an added 80 some more counties total of 120 that they're going to be worried about weather wise but there are three main cities that were supposed to be evacuated mainly between corpus Christi and Galveston Island. Give it 50 or 60 me either way will fit around 12 hours. 9 deaths occurred in the Caribbean and so he's trying to warn people to get out of the city it's not worth it and get away from them areas. That was put out a little bit an hour ago or so. Most likely get all your supplies now cuz things may not be operating tomorrow

I told you earlier to get food and water but you need to keep your called filled up when you see a gas station open. If places lose power the pumps won’t work.

Houston native here. Don’t underestimate the hurricane.

It doesn't matter if it's a Sunday EVERYTHING stays open in Port A. I work out there and it's crazy to see it shut down like that.

Latest: Landfall atm due Matagorda Bay OR Matagorda County 2/2.30AM. The eye reformed fully so it is probably strengthening and therefore more dangerous. Stay safe you two.🙏

I'm usually there at this time of year. I will be there in 2 weeks. Let me just say, it took 4 years for them to recover from Harvey ! That's why ppl have left! It was no joke! And things were really destroyed in Harvey ( I believe 2017? )

The eye went over us in Philadelphia area when sandy came through. First time I was ever in the eye of a hurricane. It was really scarey. Our fence was blown away. Pieces of oir roof torn off. Trees down everywhere. We lost power for 1 week. Basement flooded. We spent hours on my basement steps bc we had constant tornado warnings. The wind was so loud and so strong it was really terrifying. I cried I was so scared. Our basement window was blown out so the wind was howling through the basement. Be careful. Stay in a high safe strong structure with food and water for days in case you lose power. Keep your car tank full before it hits.

Go to surfside beach or further SW for the dirty side.

I was living on Edisto Island when Hugo hit south Carolina. We boarded things up, I remember damage it did. Especially Isle of Palms and on up toward Myrtle Beach. It was a week or two before some residents could return. No electricity for a week. I worked at the resort and had to go back

That’s a nice town. I’ve been on vacation there. It’s normally full. That road to corpus is low lying. I wouldn’t have much faith in going anywhere if that’s the only option.

Stay safe guys. I think they down graded to cat one but who knows When I was in Irma it was downgraded but was still strong
