I just picked up a working design jet 500 for 200 cash and the guy asked if I wanted to buy the design jet 800 he had. The only problem was a bad belt. Well 50 dollars later I loaded my truck with 2 hp plotters and a huge smile. Watching your videos allowed me to repair the 800 and I cant thank you enough.

Just saved $2000+. Replaced the belt and service station in my HP DJ800. Was considering replacement of the plotter until I watched your videos. Thanks for showing me how!!

Yep, I bent the contacts on the ribbon cable exactly like you said not to. You make this look easy! I'm gonna have to look into a new ribbon cable now :(

if you can Please! tell me how to move the the print head to the window where we can clean it, it seem all wall in right hand corner under the control board and hard to move it by hand
