I came downstairs just now, to look for an explanation of 1 Cor 13. The testing for my husband and I is that, despite much prayer, he continues to be in increasing pain and on opioids. We are continually asking Him to keep us sweet and keep us strong and keep us doing right. Thank you so much for this timely encouragement.

I am confused: with this passage, regarding diseases, death (Job), loss of a job, friendship, reputation (slander and accusation) - when does the test end? When considering carnal, social, civil or educational tests, they are supposed to have a length of time from 10 minutes to several hours. So I can only be certain that spiritual tests are completed when we pass or fail. But what is the test regarding disease? To endure it? What is the mark by which God determines one has passed the test? And if one passes the test, should not victory come? What then is that victory? Assurance? Comfort? Approval? Will there be healing? Will a saint who passes a test be healed by God? Is endurance of such a disease supposed to free us from such ills? Or is it that one with disease must always endure a test till death?

This is the reason God has you continually coming in here Kathleen... You think that you're making a "contrarianistic" difference in your incessant objections and detractions from this ministry, and you're convinced in your soul that your placed here for this... and what's so significant, is that in this conviction it is actually subjecting you to continuously correcting your own error in which you speak contradictions about the veracity of scripture and canonical authority with Paul. But the longer your obstinance beats and pounds inside of you, you can't escape not coming under the teaching that is this correction of YOUR error. It is truly amazing to see. You've already come out of Mormonism - though it's grasping at you... pulling on you to come back- hopefully you'll break free completely because it seems you've already come this far. But on the other hand, the deadliness is that God is using you through yourself (your own ignorance) to illustrate some other end that you are signifying which could be irony in not being free from Mormonism and therefore, remaining in its death trap, and then being ridiculed with "I told You So" by the very Mormons you've abandoned. And the real irony is that take you back as long as you "repent"... But you will be repenting in the wrong direction to go back to destruction. This is the ending of of your persistence in this direction... And how it will end remains unseen by you... But make no mistake that ending is already a transcendent reality... and God's not "hoping" ... and "biting his nails" for you one way or another. This is why it's great for you to remain here said that hopefully God is granting you repentance to release you from the snare. So please continue on your campaign to see where it's going to lead you... But it's already a concluded affair.

+Scott Carter.. The only thing I am doing Here..Is Recommending people Seek Jesus..Himself..for guidance for their lives. If you prefer seeking the opinions of men..Fine by me! Your reasoning makes absolutely No sense! This is precisely why I Seek Jesus and Not men.such as you.
@scottcarter1689
@scottcarter1689 4 жыл бұрын
@@kathleenwharton2139 The reason this is making no sense to you Kathleen is precisely why I have addressed you multiple times. You deny the canonicity of the Bible itself.. and then you erroneously create conflict between the vessels of inspiration (Paul, Peter, Luke Matt, etc.- NOT JESUS) in bringing and collating the inspired accounts in which God relates to His creation. Though Jesus is the Word Incarnate and the Logos (because He is the Imminence in the Transcendence of God Himself), it was not He who transcribed Scripture itself -without which you nor anyone on Earth would even know who Jesus was. Indeed, it is the Holy Spirit, not Jesus, who is involved in Inspiration because that's why Christ had to leave and send the "Paraclete" (Holy Spirit) (this is His nonlocality, without which, He is centralized to just where He was on Earth at a given time *locality)... So your talk about Jesus and discussions you have with Jesus are demonstrably false by what Jesus says. God speaks to His children through a form of reciprocity between instantiations in *what the Bible says - through the scenarios it describes, along with *(how the Bible says it) - the semantic structure of its texts ... Which in correlation to prayer, circumstances, and linear experiences of time, create an individual (and communal) understanding of our existence and placement in reality...*time on Earth. The form of esoteric communication you describe with Christ Himself is not supported by the only means (the Bible) of even knowing who Christ is -and this is your contradiction. So your intended purpose is inverted from what you think it to be -by the necessity of the only reason you know of Jesus which is the Holy Spirit's Transcendent authorship of Biblical attestation. So God the Holy Spirit, through the Bible, refutes your experience of what you call "Jesus"... This is irrefutable, but you are too ignorant to apparently see it (I am not insulting you when I say this... this should shake you into realizing your error). When I say that the reason you are here is already a fulfilled reality (though you don't know what it is) is because God is not "wonderingx what you're doing here, nor has he sent you to illustrate how to communicate with him contradictorily to His inspired ... And so what you are really doing - that is contrary to what you believe, is His use of your fallen volition to enact his purpose. Who knows from your other understandings how biblically illiterate you really are but God did this very same thing in the King of Assyria, Judas, Saul, and the litany of other people who God has as instruments of His will. And the examples I gave you are because, though they were fulfilling God's will, it was not what they thought and in the end was their own destruction that God planned, utilized, and executed from the beginning!...and in the same way you coming onto the scene out of Mormonism that seemed to be a good thing in the beginning -has now flipped into your real (apparent) purpose revealing (denial of Scripture, contrary to orthodox Christian doctrine, etc.) and emerging from itself within your intention. This is the Transcendent completion that is external, above, and out of time, that is the end from the beginning. And when I say that Mormonism is pulling you back into it is because your exit from Mormonism has not landed you into biblical relation with Jesus as well,and the fact that you think it is is the very demonstration that you are living a delusion in your intended purpose for being here in continually coming back to object to this forum within the forum itself. So your paradigm for relation with Jesus is Mormon oriented in an unbiblical interaction (as you describe). it would be one thing if you just had come by to express objection a couple of times, but this has become a cyclical, incessant fixation. Which actually is God keeping you in the experience of orthodox truth for one of two reasons, either: 1) for your conversion and regeneration to the True Gospel which only comes by hearing it (hence your continuing) 2) -or- your indictment of damnation which, from Transcendence, is your "potential" reprobation which (though we are still in linear time and therefore your interaction is implicated in it's actuation at this point in time) is already a settled fact. Potentiality is only from the limitation of finite experience of time itself -(which because God is both Transcendent and immanent is not the same limitations on Him). This is the very point of going to this extent because this could be the means of Holy Spirit understanding in you to think and be brought into repentance (a V8 moment if you will !). The reason for my persistence in refuting line-by-line the things you say is because if left unchecked, there are other people who come in this forum that need to be shown the error in your ways, so that, if you are reprobate, the redemption of your value, if not in YOUR salvation, is for illustration in another person's regeneration while you're continuing to go down the road to hell. I use this language not in the cliche sensationalistic manner, but in stern warning of you and whoever else may entertain your erroneous thinking. This is not for the enjoyment of refuting someone from a polemical standpoint...I get 5 hours of sleep or less a night because of the demands (health wise and other) of my life, and if I (or God) were fatalistic (i.e.-hyper calvinistic) it would simply be a matter of confirming your error by not demonstrating it as such. This whole thing may have gone over your head, and if it has, this is not for you - it is for someone else whose mind has understanding.(eyes to see and ears to hear). However, I have gone to this length because the semantic rationale of your sentences shows that your erroneous thinking does not seem to be from a mental deficiency (unlike the other examples of irrational instability such as "Les Miserables" and the like who display irrational semantics in their communication, so addressing them is really futile. But that in itself is even what should be more terrifying in that the cerebral orientation you display has these inverted absurdities in it's claims of Christ... which is the evidence of your doom. And the farther down the path of absurdity that you go, the more rigorous is the demand of your refutation, so you either need to abandon your current path (which is the granting of your repentance by God), or the rigors to which you would be held to account will become worse because of your abuse of the graciousness of Desiring God and Piper in not deleting your comments - though it is this very graciousness that you attack in your posts... again, this shows your insanity under the guise of your inverted rational. ...And for those to whom God ministers through this ministry, it is unsightly and slanderous for you to come in here and broadcast your heresy. Do you not see the folly in the very refutation of your own contradiction? For if not, your scenery will become more horrific. Again, this is either God's extension of Grace or the indictment of his hand upon you... As I said before, you can call this a "choice" if that makes you feel better.

+Scott Carter...Jesus Said.."Seek ye First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness." Jesus Said.."the kingdom of God is within You." Jesus Said..the reason Peter Knew He was the Christ was direct revelation from the Holy Spirit. Jesus Said "Seek Me and My Righteousness..I will Give you Everything You Need and Deliver You from Evil." Jesus does Not Give me a stone or a serpent and the Father Knows what I Need..Before I ASK. I Have Full Confidence in what Jesus Said..Jesus is All I Need. I Seek Jesus and I Recieve Jesus. That is Good Enough for me. Jim Jones quoted the bible. David Koresh quoted the bible. Joseph Smith quoted the bible. I am very cautious about the Koolaid. I do Not need to Read one thing you say! Jesus is My Savior and My SAFE Place. It is fine with me..if you believe whatever you want..but your accusations and judgments mean Nothing! Jesus will not be consulting You when He judges me.

Temptation is the biggest contradiction in the Bible. We are told that God neither tempts nor is tempted by evil. It then turns right around and tells us to pray that he not lead us into it. Even if it isn’t he who is doing the tempting, it doesn’t matter. He is guilty of tempting us by proxy.

Pray to the Lord about it and ask for understanding and guidance. Nothing is too big for Him to handle (including a faith like Thomas or a betrayal like Peter's etc.) as a child to a Father and He lives. Christians don't feel attacked or rebuke people into silence when people have/ ask questions simply cause we may not have the answers/higher or different level in our Faith or walk, with the reverence/fear of the mightiness of the Lord to simply and wholeheartedly trust in Him regardless of whatever. The Lord offersled Himself for all

If you get married, then with that may come the temptation to be unfaithful to your wife. She has put you in a position where you may be tempted, but she’s guilty for tempting you by proxy. So, James 1:13-14 (NET) says this: Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires. These verses give the paradox with temptation. God doesn’t tempt, yet we are tempted. The best explanation I personally can give is that God is the safest place for our hearts and minds to dwell. We may be tempted while we look to him, but so much more if we turn away from him and look to other things.

We know Jesus Christ is the Word of God. The WORD made flesh but is God a WORD? God forbid! But his Word he made flesh. God was not made flesh but his Word! Jesus Christ is all the Word, God spoke! Acts 6:2 KJV - Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Acts 10:36 KJV - The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) Acts 10:44 KJV - While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Acts 11:1 KJV - And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God. Acts 11:16 KJV - Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Acts 12:24 KJV - But the word of God grew and multiplied. Acts 13:5 KJV - And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister. Acts 13:26 KJV - Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent. Acts 13:44 KJV - And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. Acts 13:48 KJV - And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Acts 13:46 KJV - Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. Acts 13:49 KJV - And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. Acts 14:3 KJV - Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. Acts 14:25 KJV - And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia: Acts 15:7 KJV - And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. Acts 15:35 KJV - Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also. And on and on.....

Free will is not free will as we had no choice in the matter...it was forced on us. Do the math. 70or80 years of no free will and heaven or free will and the very real possibility of eternal damnation. Where I come from that’s a slam dunk easy decision. I don’t need free will to love and appreciate God.
