Just a quick update, the desk, chair, and arm still hold up! My wife and I use it up to 8 hours a day at different heights, and my kid still plays with the controller. I have one from Omni desk, all parts look pretty much identical, pretty sure all those popular brands i.e OMNIDESK , zen space desk and desk, are all from the same manufacturer

I think it all comes down to branding and after purchase support. I'm not sure if the motors used in the Desky are different to the competition. I've been really lucky with all their products so far.

Hey Justin, thanks for taking the time to comment. The finish is awesome. I haven't been treating it with a huge amount of respect and it doesn't have a scratch on it. The whole thing just feels really premium.

@@user-ut8gh7ww9y I finally bought table with bamboo top. It looks really nice and feels in the same way. One complaint: it’s quite soft so you will get a lot of scratches pretty soon (I have two cats 🐈)

Thanks for the review and nice setup you have there. Thinking of getting the same one :) Just a quick question: seeing your old one is a normal straight edge desk, how's the ergo edge Desky? Does it compromise any desk realestate? Do you feel any difference? I'm tossing between the ergo edge and the conventional one - can't make my mind up which one to get...

Hey Rizi. I had the exact same problem and didn't want to obsess over it too much, the reason I chose the ergo over the straight was simply that it looked different. You will lose a bit of real estate so my advice to you is to go for the conventional (straight) one, only because you know what it's like and you get the extra space. Whether or not you use that space is up to you but at least it's there! I have zero regrets going for the ergo and at times it's been useful, especially with my baby in a carrier while I work. That's a fairly unique use case though haha. Oh, one perk of the ergo is that your chair fits in the little cut out which makes things a bit cleaner. Regardless of what you choose you will be happy. The quality and stability of the desk far exceeds my expectations. Let me know what you pick!

@@sabertoooth06 Hi, I'm not a giant, medium built 😊 went with 1500x750 - very happy with it. It all depends on what you have on the desk. Have an ultra-wide 43" monitor, laptop, and dock, with other essential peripherals and accessories on it without any space issues. Personally, I tend to clutter the desk if it has too much free space! 1500 is perfect for me but I won't say no to 1800x750 😜1200 would not have served the purpose for me.

Thanks for the kind words. 1500x750 is what I went for which is more than enough for a my single monitor setup. You could absolutely fit two monitors or an ultrawide I just like the extra space either side.

I am so so sorry for taking so long to get back to you and I'm sure it's not relevant anymore but the answer is no, after a year of use I've never once hit it with my knees or legs.

hey mate im literally torn between the updown desk and the desky however your reveiw shows the holes are already there and no having the guestimate where to drill them etc so i think im sold on a desky how it is overall for sturdy ness i have 2 x 49" stcked and 1 x 27 either side some weight there plus the pc lol will this beast of a desk hold it IYO cheers

Okay so first of all...what the hell are you doing with 4 monitors?! Are the 27" landscape or portrait? You're a mad man. I'm assuming you're getting 1800x750mm for the size (the largest). The weight capacity for the dual monitors is 140kg so if everything exceeds that you're out of luck. The UpDown will do 150kg. I have zero idea what your PC weights but based on your monitors I'm guessing it's refrigerator so that may need to go on the floor or a table next to the desk. I really want to see a picture of your current setup!

I've been looking at getting this exact desk with the curved front. Is the curved edge more comfortable than a straight edge? And is there anything you dislike about the desk?

I find it more comfortable! You lose a bit of desk real estate but in standing mode I prefer it. I think it looks better too. So far there is genuinely nothing I dislike, I'll be honest this desk is way better than I thought it would be. It feels premium.

At the highest level there is a bit of wobble but nowhere near the amount I thought there would be. Any lower and it's very stable, I don't think you'll have a problem.

"The desk is rock solid" *monitor flapping like a bird's wing just from typing* You can't say that's to be expected... Physics dictates if the desk was in fact, rock solid, the monitor would not move. It's not like it's flapping on its own without the desk wobbling...

I get it, but honestly this desk has been excellent since the day I purchased it. I'm not a monetised channel and I make these videos for fun. Desky as a company has been very generous to someone like me who has very few subscribers and their products have held up. The affiliate links were included almost a year after purchase. At maximum height, with force any sit stand desk will move like that. Give a small KZfaqr a break, I'm doing my best to make valuable content, the commission I make is small and again it was well after this video went live. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
