I've noticed that the Eliksni language has no pronunciation of "Th" such as with Misraaks - Mithrax. They only ever pronunciate it when speaking English, probably because of the fact that they have mandibles and not an actual fully formed jaw bone. Interesting 🤔

I’ve been pondering this, and I think the Eliksni are most likely some form or arthropod: only two groups of egg-layers go through an initial ecdysis (shedding) after hatching; reptiles and arthropods. The only way to discern between the two is to see if they have an internal skeleton or not (not having one confirms some form of arthropod). All spiders, mygalomorphs (tarantulas) and arenomorphs (true spiders) have claws to help with gripping, so having nails or not can’t be used to rule one over the other. The best evidence for being arthropods is that the hatchling was described as being “soft and translucent”, which is definitely true of spiders and tarantulas (which is why you shouldn’t be touching them after they molt; they can be easily damaged and killed due to sclerotization not being complete and thus them not hardened). I personally believe them to be some form of terrestrial arthropod, especially with the hatchling evidence, but unless we get an x-ray lore piece, it can’t be completely confirmed (reptiles do look bright and translucent after shedding, especially when young, as color fades as a reptile gets older and in between sheds, with color rejuvenating after each shed, especially in snakes).
