He began to lose me when he tried to justify his kneejerk, seething reactions to criticism on a public forum as some high-iq strat that everyone else was too dumb to get, despite him obsessing over the "optics" of Destiny and Hasan's similar outbursts. In the past he would have passed it off as him being edgy and malding (good). Instead he tried to act like he was being unfairly crucified by the ignorant masses for shit enlightened tweets. Streamers just need to admit they're dumb and reactive but Vaush lionizes himself as above it all. I really do think the longer you stream the less human you become.

Honestly, August is the big difference between Vaush & Destiny while they're doing this whole proxy debate in the background, because when Vaush says something about Destiny on one of his videos, he sort of just says it and moves on, but when Destiny says something about Vaush, August substantiates it ad nauseum. Vaush actually did these very same types of cutaways for the Kat Blaque thing, but they seem to be missing more and more whenever he talks about Destiny.

At this point, denying his blatant misrepresentation and bad faith treatment of his detractors is borderline delusional. It’s so obvious how Vaush started to distance himself after he got optically (and logically) obliterated first in the Rittenhouse case and then in the lefty business owner debate (the Philosophytube one). Ever since he smears Destiny any chance he gets, primes his community against him. Vaush might have thought he can take over the role Destiny held since the latter half of the 2010’s by squeezing him out of the left-leaning online space jumping the bad faith optics bandwagon - but he strongly miscalculated. He is far less logically consistent and intelligent, and has way too big of an ego.

Okay, I’m going to make a serious point here. I think Vaush’s argument that the ends justify the means if the people get to the right position is incredibly damaging to every angle of the conversation. For one, it’s just wishful thinking. I’m his ideal view, even though you arrived at a “correct” conclusion through misinformation, you will eventually find the facts and arguments to back up that position legitimately. Except that is completely counter-intuitive. Why would anyone continue to challenge their own belief if they already think they have the correct foundation for it? It’s equivalent to telling someone to steal someone’s answer on a math problem while not knowing how to do the work and then hoping they reverse engineer the solution to create the justification. Why would anyone do that? Most people don’t operate that way and the only sure way to get them to actually find a support for their position is to challenge them on their beliefs. Not only are people extremely resistant to changing their beliefs, people like Vaush actively support the existence of an environment where those who disagree and challenge your opinions should not have a platform or at least are not legitimate good faith actors. And let’s not beat around the bush, I don’t think Vaush supports deplatforming on a mass scale because his content relies on having arguments with people who he thinks are wrong, but his tactics are no less toxic as he basically vilifies and delegitimizes anyone who doesn’t agree with him. There’s no such thing as a legitimate opposing view for people like Vaush, you’re either with him or you’re not a legitimate actor. Not only that, but for people who actually have reasoned takes, those takes are now attacked based on the misinformation used to legitimize them. Take for example the dumbass talking point that women get less cents on the dollar than men for the same job, even Obamna fell victim to this talking point. It’s just not true and idiots will defend this point without even understanding it. You can acknowledge the pay and wealth inequality between men and women by looking at legitimate social and workplace factors, but nowhere in the country will you find a man and woman doing the same job at a company where a man is making more than the woman literally per dollar. Yet this talking point is uttered like it’s truth and now every time you have conversations about this topic you have to spend time addressing how fucking stupid that is.

Those two were always shitty people, but imagine having someone as big as Destiny essentially sponsoring your growth and actively defending your shit takes. There's also the fact that past Destiny was also pretty bad in a lot of regards, though he's grown since then as well. I looked at some of his past videos when he and those two were on good terms, and it's almost disgusting how much Destiny bent over backwards to protect them during some debates. He's also shows terrible judgement with dealing with toxic situations, and in fact, makes it clear he doesn't really want to avoid them. Look at the Ana incident that spanned months. Despite being able to just force a restraining order on her, he chose to let her continue to create drama and risk him getting banned. He then chose to continuously feed her insanity by getting on streams (hosted by others) to argue, and stream himself reacting to her streams. Even now, he chose to "squash" the drama she created and become friends with her again. I love watching this dude and I hate watching him at the same time. However, he can play defense for this by saying that the older clip is from before a LOT of other conversations he's had, but he couldn't do that if the clip was from a more recent video where he's said similar things about the very same people within this past month. Nothing interesting to talk about - Better bring up some bullshit drama. Both Destiny and Vaush are doing this. And I think they are just playing off each other on this. Cause it consistently gets them views.

Nah Vaush has been so spite driven against Destiny it's fascinating to watch how echo chambers form and how information goes around. Everyone thought Destiny called a rape victim a r*tard because Vaush said so. He never called her a r*tard. He's been getting away with it because he knew his fans won't ever look for the real context. If someone keeps smearing your name with misinformation like this and you're are one of the biggest political streamers too, that is not "bullshit drama". Vaush wants to discredit Destiny and he knows he can do so easily because Destiny doesn't care about optics. Destiny's manifesto will be such a great showing because all the information will be laid out on the table. I hope Vaush reacts to it but he's just gonna do the classic "Destiny wrote some weird obsessive post about me, y'know just Destiny being obsessed nothing to care about, we have importa-" stuff like that. His fans will eat it up in a second and never bat an eye.

Vaush cares about misinformation. It’s just that he likes it and supports doing it.

How can people legitimately listen to Vaush speak for more than 2 minutes? The condescension dripping from his voice really hits my ears in a bad way.

Vaush has always been either #1 trolling #2 mentally and emotionally not well. I knew that after listening to him for 3 hours. I blows me away that it takes anyone years to figure it out.

Destiny is the king of liberal/leftie politics out of all the political streamers. Not Vaush. Not his clone Xanderhal. Not that one black dude shark something, can't remember his name.
