Manfred is just a single large bat, compared to the dozens of bats in a fell bat unit, very big threat difference, until Manfred learns how to cast WoD. Vargulfs are wingless bats that have sniffed too much glue, which is why they regenerate, they are mostly glue. Fell bats are scary when compared with lesser bat species.

@El Ratio I think Warhammer 2 will still be popular at least until the Immortal Empires map comes out. Many will switch to 3 and play the new faction campaigns, but the giant campaigns will still be limited to Warhammer 2. The giant, combined map won't be out at release, CA has said.

With elector counts diplomacy, you have to have relations -non agression +25 - trade +50 - military acces +75 Of course random trait and balance of power take part in it, sometimes those numbers can change.

If you wait until they are >50, you can get a full suite of pacts by piggy backing off them really wanting a non-aggression pact. It has never failed for me at least.

It seems that the disband command for that reinforce event calls for the initial general, so if it rolls a general who is wounded or in transit, you have to select a new one AND you always get to keep the army after the battle. You get to keep it even if you lose as long as you aren't wiped out if that replace general popup shows up.

Is that for sure the way that glitch works? When the glitch happens for me it usually asks me to replace the general of the event army before the event is spawned. Then the event happens right after and uses the general I assigned.

@@01001010010001001100 that's because the army is spawned with a lord before the dilemma, if the lord chosen is unavailable you have to assign a new one which pre-empts the dilemma popup.

interesting, so you could in theory cheese these events by hiring and disbanding all your lords every turn and get a 'free army'. Of which the only useful unit is 1/2 handgunners. Still, early game handgunners!

I love these a lot more than the 20 turn guides. While the 20 turn guides were great, some of them dragged on a bit just for the sake of getting to turn 20, even though the start was finished. The Throt one for example, he had the goal in mind to wipe out Kraka Drak super quick, but after that, it was just him playing the game. Which don't get me wrong, I love that (that's one of my favorite videos), but these are a lot more clear and to the point! :)

Tried this upto turn 6 (on Hard/Hard as i'm not that good) and it's working great so far. I've taken a few more losses but Mannfred is on the run. No more spending the next fifty turns following his endless spam across the map. Vlad is giving it a good go in my campaign instead lol

Really great series. I feel like this will help a lot of players to start some of the more difficult campaigns. I just launched another Imrik one and managed to take down snikch on turn 6 and finished malus on 18. Now on to suffer through the green tide. I feel like imrik, tehenhauin, arkhan and wulfrik could be great candidates for mor episodes. Keep up the great content my dude, cant wait for WH3!!

Idk i'm pretty noob at the game and imrik was one of the """"easiest""" campaign , like early is kinda hard , but as long as you focus on snikch first and take him out you start piling up dragon event and the difficulty significantly drop. And for taking out snikch the 20 turn guide gives a fairly good idea on how to do it with minimum rng already .

Seems like this start might lead to unintended consequences with factions that are usually unified by manfred as a common enemy not being as friendly now. Interesting tactic though, love that you are still able to try new things in a game you have 14000 hrs in.

Speaking about autoresolve in the early game: a lots of time most interesting fights happens exactly in the early game, when you trying to achieve ambitious goals. And for me autoresoliving every battle at this stage seems stupid

Only time I autoresolve battles in the early game is as the beastmen (because lol no consequences) and that first battle as Oxyotl with the Mammoth.

I once had a Belegar game where the only battle I *didn't* autoresolve in the first 40 turns was a battle against some rebels where I was looking to farm them for experience. Dwarves are so stupid in autoresolve. But generally speaking, yes, you get a lot of interesting battles in the early game when you are trying to make the most out of starting armies and achieve difficult results.

Thanks Legend, managed to accomplish Sylvania conquest on turn 8, done some steps differently, Black Venom attacked fort instead of minor settlement. And Strigoi reinforced Drakenhof, but otherwise done it easy! And zero casualties.

Great new series. I don't know why I hadn't thought of migrating Gelt to Drakenhoff before. His starting province is so slow to grow and Drakenhoff is much richer. I wonder what other LL's could benefit from migrating their start.....

Lokir, Malus and Imrik do for sure, Arkhan the Black can make use of migrating to Khemri, Tehenhauin (And Markus) to Sentinels of Xeti, who else..? Eltharion already has a settlement on the donut, that is hardly a migration. Guess Grom can move somewhere away from bretonnia and HE, but he doesn't exactly need it. I don't think there is anyone else who benefits from migration more then from developing their starting province.

You can prevent them from recruiting as much with the following change: When going for Fort O on turn 5 don't chase the Strigori away- auto-resolve with him still there (or fight it), then 1 Huntsman chases him down & should have movement remaining to then return & take the sacked Fort O, 2nd force marches as far as possible to be able to hit Castle drak. turn 6. Besiege with just the lord & force march Gelt from Temp. to Drak leaving him NW of drak just in range. Sylvania will attack you over the end turn (weakened lord + force march why wouldn't they) but you can win that, take Drak. over the end turn and can super easy Eschen 7 Waldenhof 8

Farm the rebellions with Gelt until you can build walls then kill Vlad. I would also disband other generals for more money.

In that first battle, there's a couple moments I would have charged the outriders into melee against their archers, at least for a quick cycle. They aren't amazing melee but most ranged cavalry does okay on a quick charge through weak archers like that, and when they don't have a chance to shoot or are repositioning it's worth disrupting AI formations like that IMO

Has anyone else figured its a good idea to have archers fire a single volley into an enemy unit, halt, and then fire another volley? For the case the enemy is on a wall, I've noticed all archers will fire at the first couple rows after the first volley if left alone, and so one entity that might only need 1 or two more shots to die, actually gets 6 or so, thus wasting ammo. It requires more clicking, but its much more effective at keeping your balance of power up while also making your shots worth much more.

Did this a bunch of times trying to get the first few turns perfect. Got to the first siege and found it more difficult than I remembered. Just barely ended up winning. Turns out I had forgot to recruit the four extra archers.

so i know this is a bit old but something interesting i did figure out i'm not playing on legendary specifically i'm on very hard moving my way up. funny enough there is one big deterrent for this working on very hard. voncarstince raid exactly were you need to stand on turn 3 and because of this you lose 6% of your movement and cant reach templehof. doesnt take away from how useful this is just found it funny that that was consistently a difference. You can still get it done by turn 11 I do believe

What do you do if you have to play on a lower unit scale cause potato computer and therefore mortars can't destroy towers.

I have this problem and I’ve done 3 things to try and make up for it. First thing is manual fire can be almost 100% accurate if you can get the arch right within the first shot or two. Secondly you’d have to lower difficulty so lower tower HP and Third we’re fucked until we can upgrade lol

Golden Hounds can do damage to towers in my scnenario all the flying units attacked, I did manage to save all 4 mortar models with enough crew to use them but it still only got to 97% damage when the ammo runned out, I was about to ALT + F4 and try again but I tried first searing doom on the tower with no effect and then Golden Hounds and instantly took the remaining 3% of damage remaining to the tower. I did got myself a Heroic victory thou, with the exact same army composition 2 Hunstmen general and the exacta same ammount and type of archers.
