The DEWALT Atomic 20V Compact Bandsaw is designed for one-handed use with a 1-3/4 inch cutting capacity for cutting smaller-diameter EMT, stainless steel, strut, or all thread. This lightweight and compact tool should work particularly well for overhead work in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and metalworking applications.
DEWALT packed a lot into this compact bandsaw. It features a brushless motor with a variable speed trigger and max speed dial adjustment to allow you to choose a speed between 150 and 380 SFPM. The saw includes a rafter hook so you can hang the tool on a ladder run, nail, or joist between cuts. Or, if you have the Layard Ready attachment, you can secure the bandsaw to your scaffolding when working at height via the included mounting bracket.
The DEWALT Atomic Bandsaw comes with Tool Connect compatibility as well. Attaching the optional DeWalt DCE042 chip in the secured slot located near the battery mounting plate lets you manage and track your tool within the Tool Connect app.

Everything about the Atomic line is good. Dewalt got themselves in a bind on how they Marketed the impact driver 809.

got myself the 12v version from lowes, came with a free charger and a 5ah and 3ah battery for 190 bucks and works great

I'd like to see you compare the xtreme 12v bandsaw to this one when it is available. I'm also dying to see you test the new 12v impact. I know you've had one ordered for months. Slow shipping really aggravates me.

I wish they would of made a bigger cut capacity one handed model. I have the older dewalt 20v bandsaw and it’s been great but also have the m12 fuel bandsaw that’s cuts 2.5 inch. It’s wayyyyyyyyy better.

I’ve just been weighing those 2 - I have both battery systems, so that doesn’t matter, and I’ve been torn between the m12 fuel compact and the dewalt atomic. What do you prefer about the milwaukee? Just the cut capacity? Is power enough with the m12?

Everything is nice but don’t see any blades online or in store . Yeah Milwaukees m18 work but it don’t feel right you know..

Would really jus like a new updated brushless model of the 2.5 inch size. Variable trigger would be nice and a dial. And more power of course. Still small enough for 1 handed use. This 1 3/4" jus too small for my liking. I cut a lot of 2 x 2 material. Then i got the big dcs374 of course too

How do you adjust the blade tracking? Can you do a video on that. I just got this saw and it’s shaking like crazy every cut with emt. I tried replacing the blade as well. Pretty disappointed.

LOL. I hit that at about 6:50 ish. This makes the M12 feel like a yawner because Dewalt has the blade moving fast on this saw.

I'm eager for the release of the Dewalt 12v extreme bandsaw. Do you think worth more to buy this atomic bandsaw than a 12v one? I would image the 12v bandsaw will be more light and compact, however I'm sure this atomic bandsaw has more power to cut.

Google it. There's s press release on it. It's coming. But, it took 5 months from press release to available in stores for their new 901 impact. 6 months for the 903. The supply chain was damaged by covid. So who knows when the 12v bandsaw will be available?

I love dewalts 12 volt impact and drill, but I do not think dewalt has the 12 volt sales to make a ton off this tool in that line.

@@odin8214 On my end, it feels like all users want to see is the biggest and baddest tool. They care very little about compact tools unless it has the power of a full size. I would not invest in any 12 volt line right now.

@@odin8214 I was thinking the opposite they just released the 12v stubby competition in the xtreme line and a completely new style battery pack with rubber bumpers. The atomic stuff I’ve used hasn’t been great the multi tool burned up way faster then xr and the drills aren’t as nice as the xtreme.
