thats a good looking weed eater, when i heard from you guys that DeWalt were coming out with some garden equipment I didn't know what to expect but so far I love the look of it, that sucker just sounded powerful when you pulled the trigger and it spooled up! looks nice and long so would be good for us taller guys and even the string is black and yellow!! Great video, I can't wait to see the update and the other tools in the line up! Cheers guys!

Great review and a great tool. Works perfect and no fuss startup, no gas to worry about. This along with the free battery promotion they ran last month was the pecorlderfect time to buy. I also snagged a cordless blower and its more than adequate for my use. Great tool line!!

That's a beautiful tool right there, all that black and yellow. It looks like it would be top heavy. I'm guessing as technology develops the batteries will get smaller and last even longer. Great video as always guys.

Even though I am a little bias towards Dewalt, this is definitely the nicest battery operated string trimmer that I have seen to date. Great first look! Can't wait to see more on it. I think that it will be a big performer among gas trimmers even.

Bought one of these today. I got the 4.0 AH battery version ( to go with the Chainsaw and Blower ) Bought the Chainsaw first this spring to clear up some fallen limbs and cut up some firewood. That was great and I got so much done with one battery on a single charge. I bought the blower pretty much for a spare battery. These tools cost pretty much the same as a battery on its own !, the blower is pretty powerful, but it really eats batteries, so glad I had the Chainsaw battery for backup - wait, wasn't it meant to be the other way around ? Lol Was looking at the string trimmer too for a while, but I already had a good Toro weed eater, so kept talking myself out of it, but when I used it this last Monday it started leaking gas, so finally I had an excuse to get the trimmer lol What I'm wondering though, is where is my battery charger wall mount plate ??? I have 3 tools and 3 chargers now, and none of them had the wall mount plate - I'm thinking it only comes with the 6.0 AH battery kits ? Any opinion on that ? I checked the box the trimmer came in THOROUGHLY, and no bracket, so I was watching this video very closely to see where yours was, and it was just sitting there with the charger... none of my 4.0ah tools came with one. Bummer. I guess I'll just make my own..... #TIACREW

Looks really well built. The Ryobi 40V string trimmer is the only Ryobi tool I own and it is awesome. Should do a tool fight to see if I need to upgrade. Not having your string trimmer match your Dewalt drill...first world problems.

really an awesome landscape tool. price is definitely ok....i checked out the price for Bosch's 36V string trimmer which is already avaiable in Europa but its kinda double the price of the DeWalt trimmer. hopefully they gonna adjust the price to our US market :P same for the new blower. if they are gonna be pricy, then i go with the DeWalt line....40V or maybe 20V...we will see which battery line i like more, but its gonna be my first yellow tool

Very nice better then mixing gas, I guess run time will be the sink or swim moment for most pros since charge time might be a little long to top off between professional jobs..you could always get multiple batteries but sure there pricey Boeing 6.o and 40v

Jacob Scutzlas Hmm the DeWALT seems a bit more durable . As for power it is 40V vs 56V but the both are very comparable. See which one feels more comfortable to you. You can't go wrong with either.

Mike Herrera 40 volt is a whole other category of power. It’s designed for commercial battery operated equipment that emulates DC current tools. FlexVolt is the step-up from the 20v in DeWalts competitive marketing arena. IMHO

*My friend is in our late 60"s🌿 **allabout.wiki/DEWALT** and we are huge DEWALT fans and have been for several years. We have more than DEWALT tools. This weed eater was just what we needed. I opened the box at **2:30** and by **3:10** I was trimming weeds and I am not handy. I trimmed for nearly an hour on the same small battery. We had a larger model and gave it to our son-in-law because it was just getting too heavy for us. This has very balanced weight and we love it.*
