can anyone tell me. what if the dog was on the same food as usual all their life and no problem. would u still give them rice after the fast? rice sounds like something their digestive track would not be use to and its just starch with no fiber so how is that not equal to just more bad stools?

Thanks for the rice concept. We did the routine starting with fasting and two days of rice and no more diarrhea. Back on normal food now and no problem. Brilliant solution and will used again if needed.

Is the probiotic you recommend here recommended for daily use to keep his/her digestive track in better health? My 6yr old GS is on 10 billion daily to hopefully combat some of his issues...but I also have a 6 mo old puppy. Do you recommend a daily probiotic for both of them for general health??

@@MrSprintcat well the puppy is now 3 and we finally got him on track about 1.5 years ago. I give him 1/2 scoop Green Vibrance daily or every other day (human prebiotic and full of nutrients) and feed him (half beef and half sardine) Nature's logic food. ZERO ISSUES since then🙏

This was great advice for us. We had a dog with diarrhea which we felt ways from eating something rancid. We withheld for 24 hours, as we started the homeopathic Arsenicum album 30c at 1 pellet for every 20lbs at 2-4 hour intervals. Then for the second 24 hours we fed white rice only, then a mixture of regular food and rice on the third day. No more diarrhea, stools back to what is normal. Thank you so very much for helping me feel empowered to take charge of this solvable issue. As all pet owners understand, if what we try does not work, a vet appointment is next! Thank you for helping us avoid that stressful event!

I've spent over $1000 between x-rays, meds and new dog foods trying to figure out why one of my 3 chis got diarrhea that won't go away. All tests come back negative and every medicine or food we try doesn't help. Going to stop food for 24 hrs and then try adding these probiotics if it continues. My vet never recommended to stop food for a day and this has gone on for almost an entire year. I also learned from this video that its large bowel diarrhea. Thanks for sharing! Your videos are always so helpful!

You're always my savior! You saved my golden when he was 4 months old when he had kennel cough and giardia. Also when he had ear infection. Now 2 years later, Ive come back to your videos. I'm taking him vet tmmrw morning since hes been having diarrhea and puking. For now, I gave him boiled chicken and rice with some probiotics. He's sleeping like a baby. Hopefully he's better by tomorrow. Thank you for your videos

My dog just went through a bout of Diarrhea it lasted threedays durring that time he wouldn't eat anything. I made sure he had plenty of fresh water and kept cleaning up the liquid piles off the carpet. I have no idea what caused this but I'm glad its over.

@@rphselias Yes he did get better although I wrote this 2yrs ago both my fur babies died this year. One in October from a bad heart and the other six weeks later in November from a broken heart. I hope your baby gets well soon.

I took all the excitement away the kids with the high pitched voices. This seem to help my new 3 months puppy shih tzu..It allowed him to stay calm keeping emotions in tack seem to really help. Also no water during the fast..the water triggered more episodes. The kids were willing to be quiet for the puppy to get better. I kept them upstairs and whenever they ate they were very quiet. I hope this helps you all because I was ready to give up..

My 1 1/2 year old dog has had diarrhea for 4 days now. We did a bland diet after 24 hours of fasting and he has orange diarrhea now since yesterday. He now won’t eat. Nothing changed in his diet prior to this but he always has had sensitive stomach. He also gets a probiotic his vet prescribed him. We’re currently waiting on fecal test results for possible giardia but my poor boy looks so sad and unwell😢 I just want him to feel better

Doctor I am so grateful for your advice. My dog had serious diarrhea. I took goat milk and started with a syringe gave her this right after I added water and I given her plain no fruit Greek yogurt two spoons. Like within 30 minutes she was getting water on her own and I given her Nature’s grain free dry food she ate as much she showed get results. With two hours. I repeat the goat milk with syringe and two more spoons of plain Greek yogurt she became so awake. The live culture of the plain Greek yogurt eats up any bacteria in her body with great results she was feeling a little better not 100% but better than before. Please doctor continue your great advice, I am for one thank you from the bottle of my heart. Pass it on

You are a life saver. My senior-age Scottie has always had food allergies, but it's worsened as he's gotten older (12 1/2 yrs). He eats a steady diet of lean ground turkey, with either potatoes or rice, and yogurt and canned pumpkin. Sometimes he still gets diarrhea, though. I do have him on a senior multivitamin to ensure he's getting the nutrients he needs. I'm going to try the lactobacillus supplement to see how he does. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! 🐶💜

This literally just happened to me about an hour ago. i vaguely remember her trying to wake me up to go outside and wish i would have took her out. It was all over the bed, kitchen floor, her little bed and all over her. It was really awesome to wake up to yeah so I feel your pain~

Just had my GSD tested for pancreatic insufficiency, among a few other GI tests. Very expensive test they had to send down to Texas A&M. I’ll have the results next week. Wish me luck.

Hi Dr. Jones... This video was a lifesaver for myself and my Pitbull, Dutch. He started having diarrhea the other night. I woke up to 4 piles of it in my living room! It was his only symptom.... he was totally fine otherwise... I used Arsenicum Album. I gave him 3 doses and I'm very pleased to say it worked awesome! He slept through the night and is diarrhea free today... thank you so much for all the information you put out there... Dutch & I truly appreciate you.

This does work. I did exactly that with my chiweenie. I didn’t feed him for 24 hrs and then the next two days I gave hin white rice with a boiled chicken. He is doing ok now.

Thank you much for all this information. Now with the Coronavirus is almost impossible to get a regular vet appointment. In my hometown of Sacramento,CA I can only get to emergency vet hospitals. The charges start at $250!?!?!WTH 🤦🏻‍♀️. I will definitely follow this tips and recipes to help my poor dog. Once again we thank very much!
