This video is so long! I hope you find it helpful though. Remember that this is just my personal experience and not to start a new diet without talking to your doctor. Now let’s talk about how amazing the FODMAP diet is: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jtWnhpN1yqexmXU.html!!!

Jessica Kellgren-Fozard omg! Jessica, we now have yet ANOTHER thing in common. I was accused of anorexia because I couldn’t gain weight with my illness. Seriously?? I was hungry ALL the time because obviously. You can’t keep food in you stay hungry. So I’m eating everything and losing weight. Fortunately, my mother yelled back and let them know I was NOT anorexic.

Jessica Kellgren-Fozard I know I just commented. Sorry. Oversharing type person here. While I’m in the US (no I didn’t have any part on our acquisition of SCROTUS. -so called ruler of the US- just for clarification, not to open debate), my illnesses are eerily similar throughout including the spinal puncture gone wrong. My hearing loss is rather rude in that it can’t seem to make up its mind. I’ll have a roaring high pitch noise in my ear then complete deafness. Three days later I’m waking up my husband because his alarm is bugging me. It takes a second before I realize it means I can hear again. Honestly, I cannot believe how similar our paths run other than a few outcomes here and there. Hugs ❤️ and much love while we all manage each day however we can.

My father was a doctor and my mum a nurse, but even so I lost several stone and was told to stop being lazy when I became diabetic. I was sick! Wishing it away wasn’t working! I empathise with the undiagnosed illness as a child problem. What makes you so lovely to watch is your ability to smile through it all.

As a girl (from age of 8) I was really ill. I was diagnosed with IBS, 'abdominal migraine', and, eventually, just that I was making it up. It turned out I had kidney failure for years and had to have an urgent nephrectomy. It was an old-school nephrectomy, i.e. not laparoscopic and I had ribs removed because the kidney was septic (because no one bothered to test me for anything for 9 years). I had the opposite problem, I was on the adult ward with people with colostomy bags who were dying from late stage cancers. I was terrified and delirious on morphine. I have let go all of the hatred because being bitter does not improve my life, but when you said that if you talk about it too much you'd cry, I welled up. I'm sorry this happened to you.

i also had doctors saying I had an eating disorder. Because I was losing weight and was having diarrhoea they thought I was abusing laxatives. They refused to do any tests at all and so by the time I was finally diagnosed (with Ulcerative Colitis) I had to have some of my colon removed. My original doctors couldn’t believe I’d been right the whole time (I’d been saying I thought I had either UC or Chrons as I also have other autoimmune diseases). It was the worst time of my life and I’m sorry to hear that you (and others) went through a similar thing.

I’ve had a love hate relationship with milk and milk based products for my whole life and got accused of being bulimic as a child because I was throwing up. Then they put me on meds for my ADHD and insomnia so suddenly I was anorexic because I just didn’t want to eat most of the time. I think I was 4’8” and 60 lbs in sixth grade? I got off the meds and switched to soy when they finally asked what I wanted.

Because I had anorexia when I was a teenager, when I got extremely sick in my early 20s and became underweight they told me it was a relapse and also IBS. Turns out I actually had coeliac disease, extremely high levels of gut inflammation (and SIBO due to months of antibiotics). How wonderful it would be if doctors actually listened to patients when they say there is something very wrong with their body and they are not complaining for clout or attention.

Wow. What was getting a boyfriend supposed to help with, medically? What possible context could there be where a doctor suggesting that is anything other than inappropriate? I guess there was none and it was just super inappropriate, but I'm interested in what mad idea they had and what the context was, I guess in the same way people are interested in what happened in car accidents - i.e. just curiosity really.

I can relate to the doctors diagnosing you with an eating disorder. When I was 12 I was diagnosed with an eating disorder because after meals I would often vomit. But at the time I had a lot of stress with my schooling and I had anxiety and I just wasn’t hungry and if I ate too much then it would come back up.. my parents took me to a psychiatrist who then put me on heaps of meds to supposedly “help”. But luckily my parents noticed that it was making me more unhappy and they took me to get a second opinion and finally realised I didn’t have an eating problem I was just always anxious. Sorry if this is kind of irrelevant, just wanted to share my story

I have an anxiety disorder and IBS and my IBS is always so severe because of the stress and anxiety and so there's been frequent toilet trips, panic attacks, anxiety and feeling afraid to eat and weight loss and so many doctors were like.... "you don't have an eating disorder do you??" and i was like "NO will you actually listen to what I'm saying to you?" and they eventually GOT it but like anxiety really is that bad so i feel you haha!

I have lupus (technically UCTD or MCTD (American designation)). I can't eat early in the morning sometimes as I'd be sick to my stomach. It sucks, the nausea is sometimes horribly bad with a migraine. I can basically throw up once or twice though and be on with my day...I can semi-function. I've been better within the past year and only had two really bad days in the past year. Before that I didn't really leave my bed...I was in crippling pain all the time. I thought I had Crohn's because my stomach was so off and it ended up being a ton of Candida and mold (which taxes your immune system more). No amount of antidepressants or antianxiety meds helped my GAD or the pain, off label use is for pain...They made me trip out as it reacted with my lupus fevers plus added in sleep paralysis and night terrors. Super not good for me. I'm happy I'm good now and my stomach is feeling alright now most of the time.

A good friend of mine got very sick when she was 16, and I remember her telling me she got so pissed off because doctors were telling her parents she had an eating disorder and it was her fault that she had no appetite/couldn't hold down food. She was actually diagnosed with anorexia nervous I think. Nope, turns out she was in acute organ failure because her adrenal glands weren't producing cortisol and had a potentially life threatening endocrine disorder called Addison's disease! Like you I had a hard battle with the doctors and the hospital to try and get them to do something about it. For years I struggle and because I was a teenage girl got told I was making it up that it was involuntary and got told I had an eating disorder. Anyway, it got to the point where I was rushed to hospital with severe malnutrition and was about to die for them to look into. In my microbiology class we were learning about fecal transplants (I have no idea if the concept even went past its testing stages, but we were just learning about the theory and how promising it was looking). The idea was just that they would take someone’s healthy microbiota and put it in the body of someone with a lacking microbiota and that it seemed to work great. The textbook was talking about how a lot of people really needed it to improve their digestion but it never went into what life can be like for someone stripped of their microbiota. Hearing you talk was very helpful to shaping my understanding of what we were learning about because I just thought the book was saying that these people had stomach aches and maybe had to take long trips to the restroom. Just shows how crucial it is to hear personal stories and that you can only learn so much from a textbook. Thank you!

I wish nutrition science was not so much of a guessing game. It seems like science should be able to test a person and recommend the best diet for that person. It’s frustrating to be faced with so many choices of what is a “healthy” diet, but still a roulette wheel of what might be healthy for me.

Scientists are working on this right now - the gut biome of microorganisms is way more important than previously thought. It’s only recently that scientists have been able to connect the gut biome to depression and other mental health illnesses. However, each human has a different one (almost like a fingerprint) for reasons yet unknown, making it hard to study which bacteria do what, and making treatment options hard to study. But maybe soon we will know more!

Man, the eating disorder diagnosis seems to be a common one in the comments. Unsurprisingly, that was also my experience... "you're throwing up every 5 minutes and can't stop? Must be because you're trying to throw up every 5 mins" 🙄. I had a similar experience with the anti-candida diet. On paper it sounded great, but in reality it made me have horrible CVS episodes as soon as I started it, which I took to be a sign from my body that that was not going to fly (I think my digestive system is similarly touchy). Funnily enough carbs are about the only thing I can eat (if anything) on a bad day. And Canada Dry ginger ale is nectar of the gods. I swear there's something magical in it.

Sorry for really long comment, I want to share my story. Finding your channel has been a miracle for me over the last few months. I actually cried when I found I wasn't alone. As a kid I was constantly hospitalized for infections and had to take a daily antibiotic for years, and thanks to bad genetic lottery pool, I've now got POTS, chronic fatigue, leaky gut- for some reason I cant have any fiber; give me a sliver of bell pepper and everything I intake for the next week will come intact right out the other end- even ramen , also got fibromyalgia, migraines, celiac, and it looks like endometriosis now. For ten years, I would crawl to my doctors crying and begging for help on a daily basis, but they kept saying 'youre just anxious cause your life sucks and you have bad parents, oh and you want to get out of going to school. Here take these anti-anxiety drugs and get back to class.' I couldn't take them, they'd make me severely ill; I'd bad depression- suicidal style, horrible muscle spasms to the point my whole body would be contorting in pain (I think they may have been seizures but the doctors called me a hypocondriac). Then I started getting vertigo from them- I couldn't walk and even laying down I felt like I was in a centrifuge- even melatonin and migraine medications cause these problems. The last one I was put on was supposed to be the safest with the least side effects, given to me by a psychiatrist when I was diagnosed with PTSD- it caused weight gain and horrible bloating to the point my dad asked if I was pregnant- dad, I'm a lesbian hermit, do you really think I'd get pregnant? So I went to a gastroenterologist and she said I had gluten sensitivity- she was blown away that it was caused by an anti anxiety meds, but hey, those things are poorly understood so who knows. I went on the GF diet for a while and it was a miracle. But I'm poor and my dad and bro are obese and addicted to soda. I eventually had to go back on a diet of strictly cake and bread. Till eventually I started getting what I thought was rheumatoid arthritis :D it was celiac disease. Still couldn't afford to follow the GF diet, so I haven't been able to use my hands for a year and it's started to spread to my feet and knees, plus I'm constantly bloated which is not good for a recovering anorexic Then a few weeks ago, something went wrong with my tongue, after a deep Google search I found it was oral thrush- I could temporarily get rid of it with some home remedies. Then discovered your channel, and your candida diet story. It just kinda clicked. I also have a sinus injury, which I thought was the cause of my constantly drippy and clogged nose- after research into candida, I realized it was cause by the same thing causing the oral thrush, and with my medical history/ being on antibiotics from age 4-12 with no probiotics or precautions for the damage it would cause, well its pretty much a given I have it in my intestines. I haven't been able to get into my main doctor to ask about it, but I've been trying to ease myself into the candida diet. I went to my psychiatrist yesterday and she informed me that if I do have candida, it would be why seretonin effecting drugs give me seizures. They're absorbed through the intestines and if the gut bacteria is off- things go crazy and unpredictably. So now I'm even more dedicated to getting rid of the thing. I did further research, since there's no way I can survive on the strict candida diet toted around on the internet- I discovered an alternative one that's more science focused than health nut focused- the lady who designed it made it specifically for leaky gut syndrome. So I'm trying that, hoping it helps. I see my doc next month and am going to ask for help with it, but for now I'm cutting down and sugar+gluten and switching to artificial sweeteners.

Jean Bean sounds to me like you have a severe case of ocd(obsessive compulsive disorder) its a common thing nowadays and its much more easier to discuss with people now and be more open about it now than it was 25 plus years ago. In other words its much more accepted now and therapists qnd pshychiatrists know how to treat it nowadays better. I have ocd and have had it since i was 5 hears old and it comes in waves. Usually it will come on pretty bad every other year but for only maybe 3-4 months out of they year. So for example you may have episodes of ocd in the year 2018 for a few months like maybe june-october and it may be very bad in june/july but once its over you wont have another case of it until the summer of 2020 (atleast thats how it works with me anyway) ocd can range with all kinds of problems including -worrying about diseases and sickness. For example a person with ocd may have a headache and worry that they have a brain tumor, or maybe a person throws up so the person may think they have a cancerous stomach ulcer, its things like that. Yes it is a major pain in the ass but people always get through the obsessions and it gets better with time and you become more experienced. The best piece of advice I can give you is whenever you feel a new worry/obsession coming on to i recommend to fill yourself up with fear to the point its so bad that you can hardly handle it and just keep doing this-face the fears of your current obsession and eventually you will just get so sick and fed up with it you will forget and will realize how cumbersome it has become. This works great because if I tell a person to stop thinking about bananas whats the first thing they think of after i say that to them? BANANAS exactly ! thats why instead of trying to forget your worry/obsession (cus that will never work)you face your fear head on such as in life were better off facing our problems head on. To be honest it really does sound like you may have ocd coming from someone who has suffered from it for years and years and remember ocd is very common

I can't BELIEVE ... I'm honestly in shock right now. Someone else has gone through the same dietary trials and tribulations as I have, and also ended up on the low FODMAP diet. I've gotten the, "what can you eat??" question so many times. I've boiled the explanation down to a well honed speech and rattle it off without much of a thought at this point. I've also suffered with "mysterious" and debilitating stomach issues since I was very young. I'm now 37. Went through so many diets, tests. I gave up, at one point, and spent a very long time on a very restricted diet that only improved things a bit. For me, the answer is twofold. My digestive system is pretty poor at what it does. In addition to that, I've got something called "Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction" where the bile duct opening, even after the gallbladder is removed, raises all kinds of hell. That being connected to the pancreas leads to higher risks of pancreatitis whenever they go poking around. Also found out I'm still producing crystals in my bile (I like that term better than "sludge," which is what its more commonly known as) despite not having a gallbladder anymore. Its been pretty painful. In fact, I was pregnant and didn't know I was in active labor for a LOOOOONG time. I just thought I was having a bad digestive night! Its not a very elegant disorder. I've fainted on the toilet. I've been stuck in some pretty demoralizing public bathrooms for hours on end waiting for the attacks to pass. My husband has had to hold my hand while I was pooping... you know, for moral support. Out of everything I've tried, the low FODMAP diet has improved my life the most. It has been a godsend and I am a FODMAP evangelist now ;) Wow, Jessica - thank you so much for making this video! I'm sorry if this comment is all over the place. Its 3am and I have a hyper toddler. Nuff said. I'm wishing only the best for you in your food goals. Congratulations on the sweet potato! Every little win counts!!!

I'm always amazed at how much of an improvement diet makes for many suffering from chronic illnesses. I wish we focused more on diet as a holistic approach to health as the traditional medical community regularly neglects it and sufferers often only discover the importance of nutrition when they do a lot of research on their own.

I'm so sorry Jessica that sounds so painful to go through. So you're saying a bad exam caused problems with your spinal fluid and made you sick, and then after that you did not get the care you needed and you were not heard and had not control over the drugs. I cannot imagine. This makes me angry. Congratulations on taking control over your health and fixing it to the degree you have, it's something to be proud of.

You are definitely not alone! I grew up thinking terrible stomach aches every day was normal, finding out about gluten intolerance in college changed my life at the time. Taking out gluten helped TREMENDOUSLY with all of my symptoms. But as I got older I would keep getting sick with something. And I was getting intolerant to more and more foods. And doctors would look at me like I am crazy or just claim it is all from depression or something when I KNEW something was wrong. Finally I was diagnosed with chronic lyme disease and Chronic Inflammation Response Syndrome (mold/biotoxin illness). Turns out the place I was living/working at at the time had black mold and I genetically am more sensitive and my body cannot effectively remove those toxins by itself. It also caused problems with candida too. So NO WONDER I couldn't eat anything. I am getting better but I found that a paleo-ketogenic diet is the best for me. Whenever I eat heavy carbs or sugar, I feel GREAT for an hour or so but then I feel really sick and it makes all my symptoms worse. But the paleo-keto seems to be my sweet spot for food and I actually FINALLY have been losing weight which I wasn't able to do for over ten years!

Having battles constant nausea for the past nearly twenty years, I absolute understand the struggle of panicking about which foods are “safe” and dealing with doctors who assume eating disorders or stress over a different problem! I actually am doing the low-FODMAP diet thanks to you, and I’ve found it has helped immensely! So thank you for your videos, raising awareness, and all your tips for dealing with nausea and food restrictions! 💖

It’s honestly so amazing to see creators representing candida and people suffering with it. Especially when lots of doctor blow it off as an eating disorder or something it’s not. Mine resulted from lots of antibiotics and meds and was mostly set off by a body trauma like a heart attack (that was fun) which killed all my stomachs good bacteria. So thank you for sharing this with the world I feel heard 💖

I had sort of the exact opposite of your problem. When I was 17 I suffered from depression and anxiety and an eating disorder. I was hospitalized for a suicide attempt bc 17 year old me didn't believe in medication (I DO NOW, IT'S A LIFE SAVER) But when I was brought to the hospital they didn't think I was sick enough to have an eating disorder, and by so doing, did nothing to help me treat it. It was a large cause of the problems I was facing mentally (and physically but since I was toned and at an average weight they thought I was faking) they refused to acknowledge it at all. I was pill'd up to the max and sent home, only to relapse in my eating disorder and land myself back in the hospital within 6 months... I'm 22 now and FINALLY am seeing a diatician and she has solidified a lot of what I already knew was my problem and has worked with me tremendously to reverse my habits and get me eating correct foods and on correct amounts. Diaticians are life savers when hospitals and 'normal' doctors think, or don't think, an ED is involved. I'm from the US and started watching your videos bc I'm studying ASL in college to be an interpreter, I know your BSL is different but you're still such an inspiration! Thanks from across the sea, I love everything about you so keep on keeping on ❤❤

Ha! I was eating a sweet potato while watching this (I like mine with garlic salt) and then I heard you give a shout out to said food lol. That said, yeah. Unfortunately, I can relate to some of the crappy and ableist experiences you've had with doctors. I really do think doctors are too quick to dismiss something as psychosomatic etc before they put in the proper work. For so many years, doctors would be like "we can't find anything wrong with you. ever see a psychiatrist" and even some were like "I think you're just doing this for attention" (because apparently I loved doctors SO much that I would do anything to spend more time with them #sarcasm :P ) only to find out 10 years that surprise! She has a benign brain cyst on her cerebellum! (among other things)

While modern medicine is science based, unfortunately many doctors don't get the memo. They get forcefed a giant list of symptoms and diagnoses in school, and instead of learning to make a hypothesis, test it against the symptoms, and be ready to throw it out and try a new diagnosis if it doesn't fit (i.e. the *actual* scientific method), they'll just pick the first thing that they recognise and ignore any conflicting information that disagrees with that, forever. Which is categorically awful! I feel for everyone who has to go through years of agony before they find a practitioner that is open enough to do their damn job properly.

I'm glad you've been able to find good foods to eat. I have a really sensitive stomach linked to being autistic and it was only once I turned 19 (I'm 23 now) that I started paying attention to what made my stomach and body hurt. I started an elimination diet and cut out or reduced some things and now I feel so much better! No more headaches and being locked in a bathroom every night! I used to sleep in my tub so i would be near the toilet it was that bad. I found out I was lactose intolerant and histamine intolerant. So I was basically having an allergic reaction to everything I ate for almost 20 years in a row.

My mom had CDIF. All good bacteria was gone from her stomach and for almost half a year she was sick. She could not eat much. Cheerios...no no no. Meat - Nope! There were doctors that thought she was exaggerating. After a while she ended up having a fecal transplant to put the good bacteria back into her body and it worked and she is feeling better. I don't know what it's like personally to have something wrong but I know what it was like for my mom.

I loved the editing and they little white board writing 🤗 For a long time I struggled with a medical issue too, not quite as serious as yours, but I was also being misdiagnosed and not really taken seriously. I’ve had joint pain, muscle pain and fatigue for a long long time and my doctor just kept sending me away with ‘low muscle tone’ and did nothing else. After I moved houses recently I also had to get a different doctor who found out that I had a pretty big vitamin d deficiency and prescribed me pills, and I feel much much better! I forgot to bring them on my Christmas holiday and the pain came back so I’m really very sure that it’s all indeed caused by vitamin d deficiency. I’m amazed at how much better I’m doing now! I’m going back to school and everything is getting back on track. I think I understand your excitement about the low FODMAP diet, I personally want to tell everyone about vitamin d 😂

I totally related to the Candida part (basically had so much pain in my younger years (stomach pain, headaches etc.) and every time I would go to the doctor I would get medicine to treat the symptoms but would never find the actual cause until one day I found a doctor who told me about Candida. (Also I was apparently allergic to eggs and dairy intolerant so when I tried to explain to people they would be like, but, what can you eat?!!). I went on a very strict diet for a whole year and for the first time I felt energized and I actually found that my mental state improved as well. Nowadays I do mess up from time to time (get on my chocolate binge eating and then I am sick :/) and then I'm sick for a few days or get back my old symptoms. It's scary to think this will never go away... (Especially when it takes so much time (that I don't always have) to actually make good food for yourself (and money)) but I never heard of the FODMAP diet, I am definitely going to check that out ! Anyway, thanks for sharing, really love your channel :)

I've done Low Fodmap for about a year. It's pretty amazing when your stomach stops hurting all the time and you slowly get to add stuff back in figuring out what's an issue for you. I find there are some higher fodmap items I can tolerate in tiny amounts as part of a larger meal like onions when I couldn't eat anything oniony for a good long while. The only thing I really miss is nuts like almonds and pistachio and coconut (though I can eat peanuts) because I don't tolerate them at all well even in quantities that are supposed to be low fodmap. Sometimes I screw up because I desperately want a certain food and my stomach lets me know pretty quickly. I've been trying different probiotics but I can't see any evidence they're making any difference.

I did have an eating disorder but I’m autistic so some foods make me physically ill because of their texture. Although they may have good intentions, parents shouldn’t force children to eat all their food, their are other ways to make sure your children are greatful for food and understand it’s worth, but forcing it down their throats can actually cause eating disorders, fear of certain food, anxiety around food, and making them physically sick because it’s not about how hungry they are, it’s about shoving all the possible food down your throat.

Really congrats to you on so many things. On deciding that YOU were going to find out how to feel better and tell those doctors to stop assuming things. And congrats on being an auntie! And congrats on getting through it all and being as cool as you are 😁 When I was a teenager I had a fairly horrific health problem to do with my menstrual cycle that I won't go into detail here because, well, you know. The first time I went to see a doctor about it (a young male doctor) he asked if I thought it could be psychosomatic??!! What?! I then spoke to some female doctors and a specialist in women's health and got the problem solved fairly quickly. Just with the right drugs and a scan to check my organs. Couldn't believe how the other doctors couldn't work out what to do and didn't actually seem interested in helping me.

I just can't tolerate lactose well, and it took me ages to figure that out. Doctors used to tell me I should loose weight and that would help me not having stomache cramps/bloating/diarrhea etc. Until finally someone said to cut out dairy and it worked like a charm! I've since become a vegetarian (for ethical reasons) and giving up meat fixed the rest of my digestive issues that didn't go away with eating no dairy. I was surprised, but also pleased of course :) I wish doctors could have taken my issues as a child more serious, I could have felt fine so much longer!!

It worked, I was able to reverse the damage done to my stomach and eat foods now that I could never eat, like apples.Which really helps my Lupus. I was falling apart before. I'm so glad you found answers!!!!! Even if you go to a Dr and they got nothing, try two more (or if a doc says something that's got you a bit 'ehh') you're entitled to multiple opinions. And if several specialists tell you nothing helpful, try alternative methods. And even if that doesn't help. Wait. Research keeps evolving and in 2-5 years there could be a whole realm of new discoveries. Ex. My first concussion I got when I was 14, they basically said "don't take tests or do sports. Proceed as normal" my sisters first concussion 4 years later (and my undiagnosed 2nd) they didn't even tell her she had a concussion for like a month. My 3rd concussion 2 years after that? 2 separate concussion tests, a neurologist and a team of specialists that were able to tell me "don't do ANYTHING but sleep, pee, and eat for a few weeks" then were able to prescribe medication to help with the inflammation, and THEN were able to get me into different therapies to hell with balance, cognition, and eye sight (use avalible saftey equipment at all times kids, cause even doing everything right, a split second miscalculation can leave you dibilitaTed for the better part of a year. And that's WITH my using all advalible safety precautions. Without them I'd be dead, or worse) yes my concussion was worse because it was my 3rd. But the research and diagnostic tools have changed rapidly, even just for this one condition. Just because you don't have answers today, doesn't mean that you won't get them ever. There's always light around the bend.

My 20th birthday is just round the corner, and unfortunately the struggles you explain you went through and continue to fight against are very similar (in some instances identical) to my current circumstances. I did a huge elimination/AIP diet over the summer where I cut out basically every GI or migraine trigger known to doctors and the internet. So many sweet potatoes!!! When I was adding things back in, I didn't find one particularly thing that was a trigger unfortunately. I'm thinking of trying low fodmap though. I definitely agree that one of the hardest things about keto-type diets was having to constantly eat. Also, for limiting diets, not being able to eat out was so sad because I'm such a foodie :( DIM SUM FOREVER!

Perfect timing for you to post this video. I recently had an argument with a childhood friend about diets and overall health. She's recently gone vegan, a full-on new-age vegan. She constantly gives me unsolicited advice. But the other day she said to me, that if you follow a vegan diet, lowering your risk of heart disease and diabetes, you won't need health insurance. With my usual sardonic sense of humor, I responded, "Yeah, that'll work so long as you never get hit by a bus or something." She was completely discounting so many potential disabling injuries or illness that can happen suddently or as you grow older. So, what do you think of people who treat certain diets as a cure-all for most illness and ailments?

lyannastarkweather I'm a vegan and that definitely doesn't mean you won't get sick or have health complications. I have POTS and EDS, and the best diet isn't going to make that go away.. I think a lot of vegans just push the lifestyle on people and make dramatic claims that aren't true to get people to convert. I definitely think people can live healthy without meat, but I also don't think it can cure everything!
