Rolf Kittlitz, a Porsche Training Instructor, entertained the audience with useful information about their Porsches regarding functions they may have not known existed. From rear fog lights to what happens when you press Sport or Sport Plus to what your Porsche does if you’re in an accident, it’s all covered in this presentation.
0:00 - Introduction
3:44 - Best source for information on how your Porsche operates
8:48 - What are rear fog lights?
11:15 - Why is the fuel filler on the right hand side of the car?
14:15 - What do I do when I have a flat tire?
19:07 - What are the left and right side parking lights for?
21:17 - Why does my window raise up a little every time I open the door?
22:08 - What do I do if the battery in my remote dies?
25:54 - How should I set up my car for a track day?
27:40 - What happens when I use Sport or Sport Plus mode? Or use off-road mode?
34:46 - What happens when I plug into the trailer socket?
40:20 - What are some other features that aren’t in the Owners Manual?
48:44 - What does thermal management actually do?
54:37 - What will a cold air intake do for my car?
56:46 - Can I update my xenon or halogen lights to LED?

This seems like a good topic, however I suggest adding chapters so we can skip to the content that we're interested in. That way people who have the time can watch the whole video and people that have less time can watch what is important to them.

This is the dry presentation I had to deal with going to Porsche corporate training…😂 I remember when the 997 came out and we had to go to sales training at Hershey park, sitting through the new GPS system was MURDEROUS! 😂 I’m all “Don’t try to be funny bro, we’re sales…we’re the personality hires, you’re the tech nerds…simply give me the technical data and product knowledge I need to push these p cars…😂.

Porsche owners run the gamut from those with a lot of knowledge of vehicles and those who do not. I've encountered a member (thankfully few) who was proud of the fact that his 912 has its original tires (on it). Yikes. Not a thing to be proud of. My point is this video can't please everyone but can provide some things that maybe we don't know.

How do I get an Owner's Manual for my 2012 Carrera S 991? I purchased the car in May 2023 as a CPO, but it had no OM. I have been asking the dealer for it, and a year later I still don't have one. I just found out how to spray my headlights with the water nozzels...LOL! So, do you have an Owner's Manual for my 2012 CS 991?

Well Dan, theres alot of others that disagree with you. We are not children . We are car enthusiasts , who know something about our vehicles and want to learn MORE! Something unique that is not common knowledge! To most people driving their Porsches. I don’t have the time to be entertained and talked to like a simpleton or a child. The video was presented as learning something not common about our cars . It did not deliver . I don’t want to sound disrespectful , but PCA should take constructive criticism and work to improve the information and presentation for future videos. Thank you

You are welcome with your opinion of course 😊. There are different views on what they should provide of course and they cannot please everyone. I’m not expecting this videos to be the source of deep knowledge, that I seek elsewhere. Impressed by the work that they put down for the members. Everything can improve of course with constructive ideas.

"We have thousands of engineers. You're not smarter than them." Maybe. Maybe not. But we understand that they are working under certain regulatory, cost, manufacturing and other constraints. Their design goals and parameters used by the engineers may be different than what an owner feels is optimal to suit his personal priorities. For example, I happen to like a tiny bit of front toe out on my 991.2 3RS, regardless of what the manual recommends as a track alignment. I like the turn-in better, and I'm comfortable with the lower stability under hard braking, at least within what is reasonable for me at the track I frequent. You can line up all the genius engineers and test drivers you want, to each have a turn telling me why it's a bad idea, but you can't be me with my driving feel preferences.

@@refuztosay9454 I guess it depends on the platform. I've heard this from a few experts and I've run 0 toe with -2 camber on my own daily driven car with marginal wear.
