In the spirit of Halloween I wanted to make something fun and paranormal, and in JoJo there is quite a lot. Though one thing I and many others have noticed is that some characters, be them major or background filler, have a very strange appearance. Most of them appearing post Part 4 and Mikitaka's assessment of Earth. Could these strange looking individuals be Aliens themselves? (no) Maybe!

The thing is, there's multiple examples of non-human humanoids occupying Earth alongside humanity. The Pillar Men, the Stone Men, etc. So, space aliens moving in and blending with humanity wouldn't be so difficult an accomplishment, really. If humans that literally turn to big clumps of rocks when they die can go unnoticed by humanity, anything goes.

Yeah. And it's not like the type of alien invasion that people would be scared of. I mean the idea of brainwashing is scary, but if they're just using it to make people think they're "normal," eventually they can stop using it altogether. Other than that, they're just a species of humanoids who lost their planet and need a new home. The world of JoJo already has stand users and tons of weird shit. They fit right in!

I'm actually pretty sold on the idea of Polpo being an alien. Maybe Earth Wind and Fire is just a common "Stand" for Aliens.

So stands are shown to be somewhat hereditary (offspring of stand users often develope stands), maybe stands are actually more based on genetics? Maybe that explains why Mikitaka can't see stands because they are too different from Earth Wind and Fire, so much so he can't see them.

@@NuclearRaven13 This would make sense too, given the Joestar family's primary Stand is "Hermit Purple", being used by Johnathan (albeit being controlled by DIO), Joseph, and Holly (albeit not being able to handle it). In Part 7, the Boom Boom family had the "Tomb of the Boom" Stands. You could even make a case of the Eleven Men also in Part 7 all having "Tattoo You!" could make it a hereditary Stand. If all these people have Stands just because it is hereditary, who's to say that aliens aren't the same way? Remember, Stand arrows are made with materials from bloody SPACE. The arrow wouldn't do anything to an alien, because they'd already be a Stand user, just... on a genetic scale, like you said.

The idea of Mikitaka's abilities being purely biological instead of stand based makes more sense after seeing Kars essentially achieve the same, something unnatural for his race who were otherwise normal much like the pointy-eared people in later parts. The Polpo angle is interesting as it further drives home the idea as we see his stand and it has almost nothing to do with him becoming a bed or eating his fingers. Polpo can just physically do that.

Another interesting connection with Polpo regarding octopi You know how a lot of life on earth, despite how different we can look, can share a majority of similar DNA? Octopi share the least amount of genetic similarities with any other creature on earth, making them the closest thing we have to an "alien" species.

While a cool narrative, octopuses (yes that's the technical plural name, because English is a mess) are closely related to other cephalopods like squid and cuttlefish. Cephalopods are part of the larger molluscan class, which includes all mollusks like clams, snails, etc. A more isolated animal lineage would probably be the velvet worms. Their ancestors split off from relatives of arthropods all the way back in the Cambrian period!

A part of me hopes that araki somehow sees this and does a fist pump because someone actually caught on. I know I've purposely designed stuff to be cryptic and hard to catch on to. Hell my uncle made a puzzle based in a webpage that I'm still trying to figure out off and on.

Alternatively, the existence of all these characters in parts 5 and 6, actually prove that Mikitaka was lying, as it suggests that elf ears are a common genetic trait in the world of JoJo.

I like to think that Mikitaka was Araki experimenting with a new supernatural element. Polpo maybe was a second attempt to introduce aliens but maybe he changed his mind because of it being too far away from the italian mafia setting. Maybe rock humans are a reinvention of the pillar men (as with spin and hamon) but evolved from the alien idea. We are talking about a very long time period of several decades and I don't know how long Araki would toy around with such thoughts but it could be possible.

*tbf* the theories of aliens existing in part 4 5 and 6 were always a thing, though a lot of these theories include a almost any character with remotely unique physical traits. A lot of these can be explained away through symbolism or just Araki's style. It didn't help that Araki introduced a new species living among us in part 8, which revived tons of speculation like characters in part 5 with weird eyes, or part 6 with odd ears.

If Baoh is cannon to JoJo, it’d be cool if Mikitaka’s species knows of the species of the Baoh parasite. Perhaps it was a species made for war that got out of control, and began to spread and somehow migrate to other planets (kinda like Metroids). And seeing a host and parasite form a symbiotic relationship was thought to be impossible until Ikuro and Baoh

Have you ever made a video on how Stand Power Awareness works? Like how people figure their stand powers when they don't have sentient stands like Spice Girl or Echoes Act 3. Some people never figure their stands of course, like the Cheap Trick original owner, but others have full understanding of everything their stand does even while they're very confusing or hard to understand like Heaven's Door, Enigma or Baby Face. Anyway, I'm just saying this would make for an interesting video if tky haven't done it yet

Rock humans could be the alternate universe version of the aliens, since they both blend in with society and are also introduced in Morioh as well as mikitaka and polpo being able to turn into objects, similarly to how rock humans can turn into rocks

The thing is, unlike Mikitaka, Rock Humans have been living alongside humans since ancient times. So they can't be 'Aliens visiting earth' like Mikitaka. Hell, that's why they were called the 'backup' if all carbon-based lifeform failed

I don't think that rock humans and aliens are counterparts, if at all rock humans are more of a pillar man counterpart. But to be honest I kinda doubt that they are supposed to be a counterpart for anything.

I always noticed after part 4 where aliens are confirmed, more and more strange looking characters start appearing (pitch black eyes, point ears, weird heads) and at part 6 they're everywhere you look, polpo only confirms my suspicion that Jojo is a story about aliens invading earth
