The Seneye is a warning system for your tank. The digital monitor connects to the internet and continually checks up on the pH, temp, and ammonia levels of your aquarium, alerting you if anything is out of the norm. The system monitors the pH and ammonia via small sensor pads that are replaced every 30 days at a cost of around $100 per year. The system can also be configured with a light meter that measures PAR, Lux, Kelvin, and spectrum, which allows you to monitor these parameters live as you configure your lights.

***** on second thought...Is it supposed to be a stationary device? Because obviously we want to verify the PAR levels throughout the tank.

Okay. Here I am again. I purchased the unit, the sensor and the SWS, but I have no idea where to look to set it in tank. Any videos?

We don't have a video that answers that specific question, but if you're going to have it in the tank for continuous monitoring, it doesn't need to be placed anywhere special in the tank. In most cases, reefers will place the sensor in their sump so that it can monitor pH, temperature, and ammonia, while still being out of the way and not an eye sore in the display.

Nobody expects from this device to do everything but in all fairness they used to say that a strip would come out that would allow for nitrate measuring. Therefore they had something in mind. It would be good to know if this is still under consideration or if it has been abandoned alltogether due to technical complexities. Nevertheless I have one of these bad boys with the seneye web server already so I did put my money in my mouth so to speak...

BulkReefSupplyCom Hmm I just asked service they said the home version does upload data online but you need to connect it to a PC 24/7. No mention of needing the web server device

I am wasting my time here. It's not what I am looking for. This is for salt water, yes? Where can I find a digital monitor for Ammonia, PH, Nitrite/Nitrate, etc., shown in each dial of a 6 in one tester/checker with probes in an aquarium tank and displayed in the unit?

Automatic nitrite and nitrate testing is right around the corner. Some early technology like the Reef Bot have shown that it can be done.

Before you buy this make sure you conpletely understand it! IMO this company is kinda shady like a corporation!

BulkReefSupplyCom yeah, I had ph sensor issues. The best part of the seneye is the amonia test, they get a 👍 for that. The part I dont like is that the cost of running this is around $20 a month, this is for a new sensor. What I absolutely HATE, is that you're not able to use them for longer than a month period, they force a system onto the Reefer which either you pay this company the $20 per month, or you will not be able to see the sensor results any longer until you purchase more, they have everything accounted for by serializing each sensor, so after a 30 day period, they basically shut your unit down, in other words, the company is saying "###k you, pay me".

This thing doesn't even properly monitor pH on a tank with low kH which is almost every single planted tank. Really bad that the company even knows this and admits it yet doesn't warn its users. Don't buy this product, Your spending around $200 to buy one and $130 for slides for a single year. That alone is already enough to buy you a good aquarium CONTROLLER.
