You shouldn't have worried about copyright. There are no problems with the video. I saw very few banned videos after the release, but not a single one after that. Dimash specifically wants this video to be seen and shared. In The Story Of One Sky he sings the whole soundtrack himself. The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it. He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay. The premiere was on September 24, 2022. As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife was also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend either. But in the end that made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace. OMG he is such a phenomenal actor. But it‘s funny how very few reactors realize that the soldiers shot in the arm at the beginning of the war scenes was Dimash. The word "Om" is a sacred Mantra from India and other regions that is generally the sound of the Universe and is often a call to prayer just as the tribal "throat" singing that Dimash does. The religious leader that died could have been the reincarnated soul of the baby born. All three of the children in the beginning died in war, and he may be the hope for the future. You pretty much got it, the boy and girl in the boat grow up to marry and the boy alone on the beach becomes the dictator. Dimash is fighting for freedom and his pregnant wife and daughter try to escape, in the chaos his daughter drops her bear and is murdered when she goes back to retrieve it. His pregnant wife gives birth on the way to freedom and dies giving birth to his son who grows up to unify people leading them into a brighter tomorrow.

When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least! 😢 Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, and also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony. He is a Legend and will go down in History. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, and the other boy grew resentment with time and grew up to become the Piper and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. 1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. These are my views on this amazing masterpiece Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. The boy who was drowning was (Dimash's character as a child) made the necklaces that were given to the girl who grew up to be (Dimash's pregnant wife) and the boy who saved him who (grew up to be the military leader), possibly out of jealousy. The military leader waged his war The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. A complex work often requires repeated careful viewing. This film is full of symbolism. From the very first seconds, we are shown frames of the cyclical nature of the story, but we will be able to understand this only after a second viewing. An obscure figure, a drowning man... Is this a young man dying on the threshold of his big life, or is this a warrior who completed his life path both for himself and for many other people? We are at the beginning of the life cycle, and the lace in the foreground unequivocally reminds us of the umbilical cord. A boy who has just drowned is ready for his second birth... Dimash's first message: we are born equal, pure, potentially good people. Children are an unwritten book in which life can fit any plot. We see three friends who, as children, are full of nobility and courage (an older boy selflessly saves his friend), a thirst for knowledge of the world and a thirst to share these discoveries. However, already at these stages, the first signs of disagreement appear: a brave boy, pumping out a friend, looks for approval from a girl with his eyes. He wants to look like a hero in her eyes. But the girl does not notice this, her heart has already been given to another, and only his fate cares about her. That's the first disappointment of life - a feat will not make you a hero. You can't expect a fair reward from people. A friend may not meet your expectations. What other disappointments will this boy know, who eventually transforms from a selfless young man into a ruthless and cynical dictator? The amulet (the arrow of the solar clock showing both time and direction) has become a symbol of different ideas in the hands of our heroes. For a couple in love, it is a symbol of unity, indicating their common path (they have become a married couple, they have a daughter and a son will be born in the final). Another boy never accepted this amulet as a symbol of friendship (he does not wear it on his chest near his heart), he bent it in a fit of rage (thus the arrow stopped pointing the right way) and used this amulet upside down as a symbol of his false inverted ideals. He became a dictator (in the lyrics of the song - a Pied Piper, who draws children to destruction with the sounds of his lying flute). Many years later we see that the Dictator unleashed a bloodbath in the name of his false ideals. Many believe that Dimash portrays the opposing side of Good to Evil. I see something else. A patch on the sleeve of Dimash's character is poked into our eyes several times: a complex interweaving of sharp corners and circles. Dimash's character is not a leader, he is an ordinary soldier who has also taken some ideological side. What do these circles and angles represent? Who stands behind Dimash's character and pushes him into battle? Maybe he's protecting his city from invasion? Apparently not! Everything points to the fact that this is a civil war, because the action takes place in their hometown. All three of them lived in this city, and now they are feuding and destroying their home. Waldenberg in this clip is the personification of the whole planet. We all live under the same sky. I think this is the second message of Dimash, directly following from the title of the clip. Therefore, behind the back of Dimash's character is another exactly the same Pied Piper, with complex, confusing and false ideas pushing his followers into this meat grinder. The plaque with the name of the city in Gothic script Waldenberg is a direct reference to the real German city of Waldenburg, completely destroyed by Allied troops during World War II, when there was no need at all, because by the end of the war there were mostly only women and children in this city. The one who was supposed to bring good brought evil. Dimash's third message is that war has no good sides. All participants in wars are somehow agents of evil. Is it an accident that Waldenburg translates as "The City of Waldemar"? Well, or Vladimir in the Slavic version. Both leaders of the modern confrontation are called Vladimir ... Dimash certainly sympathizes with his character, he understands what exactly drives his hero, but does not justify his actions. When his character, driven by anger, despair and revenge, comes to the Dictator for retribution, then a storm begins in a world where souls of different faiths, cultures, ethnicities, epochs who have chosen the road to light (good) have been walking along a thorny road for thousands of years of human history! Dimash's character, having killed his savior, thanks to whom he lived all these years, immediately receives karma in return and returns to the waters of nothingness, where he should have stayed many years ago. At the moment of death, the thirst for life gives him the last most powerful life lesson: acceptance of the idea of the primordial value of human life. FOR EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTION! Even for a Dictator! Even for his daughter's murderers! This is the fourth very important message of Dimash. In a near-death epiphany, his hero sees in flashbacks the moments of his life, both bright (shots from his childhood) and unrighteous (shots of how he takes the lives of his opponents). Dimash's fifth message is to rethink your values, it's never too late to repent. It is this repentance that allows the soul of Dimash's character to transform and be reborn in the best version of himself. The waters into which our hero fell are also an allegory for amniotic fluid, an allegory of reincarnation in the body of his newborn son, who, having received such a powerful life attitude from his father, will never take up arms again and will not join any side of the conflict. The soul of a warrior sinks to the bottom of Nothingness completely. Not a Music Video but a Mini-Movie with a Maxi-Message. The composition and Dimash's vocals (spectacular as always) come second to the visuals. Yes, Dimash cares a lot about what is happening in the world. He put a lot of time and a heap of his own money into this Masterpiece. I agree; everyone should watch this. Some of the symbolism and references included in this production are perhaps more subtle and multi-layered than many 'Western' minds seem 'tuned to', habituated as we are to everything being laid out in very concrete terms. { Diverse Artists; like Dimash, Like Ren, are reintroducing nuance and thoughtfulness to the listening / viewing public, and it's such a good - and long overdue - thing. } They construct their music, their performance pieces, to convey Powerful Social Commentary. They use their various skills to bring us right into the frame, with immediacy and emotion, to stand not only as Viewers, but also Witnesses. They insist; "Don't look away from this! We need to act." In this story; 'Under One Sky' the metal pieces - that became a symbol - were, I believe, from an old Mariners Instrument, that helped sailors 'steer the right course'. At the start the saved child { Dimash's character in the story } makes necklaces with this symbol to give to the friend who saved him from drowning, and to the girl he admires { who later becomes his wife and the mother of both children ). But, from the start, the other boy is jealous of the girls preference for 'Dimash', he bends the metal piece { distorts it's meaning } and then uses it as his own symbol for power and conquest. His symbol is upside down; 'Steering in the Wrong direction'. Dimash's character really dies the second time, where he goes through a life review as he's 'sinking' - just as his child is being born. Is it reincarnation? Perhaps. The next scene is this child now grown up and being part of the group of all cultures and all faiths that lead humanity to a brighter new world of peace and harmony. Much to appreciate here and reflect on, (and, of course; none of us should be surprised that Dimash can also sing under water!!! 🤣😆😄)

So intricate, demanding and difficult it was said it could never be done again, a symphony in diminished form. Dimash composed one, wrote a screenplay, acted it, sang it, put it in movie format, distributed it and BLASTED it into 21st century music history ! It's knocked international music circles on their ears and LA came knocking. He recently returned from 3 weeks of intensive meetings with executives and artists like David Foster. This is art and open to interpretation. You grasped the story very well and in time you'll find your own meaning in it. For me the birth of the baby helps to convey the unity of future peoples and also by inheriting the necklace signifies the mother's death. The spiritual interlude or central section of the song for me shows the inner spirituality of Dimash's character, he's heading towards the light but it's an uphill journey. When he finds his daughter there is thunder and lightning with lashing rain and the spiritual journey is under threat. Once he gives in to hatred and revenge he loses his life and the spiritual journey is paused until we see him leading the other spiritual seekers in the afterlife. Great reaction, thank you ❤🙏

This is considered Dimash's masterpiece cry for peace. He wrote the story, composed the music and wrote the screenplay for it. I think the baby, Dimash's son, at the end went on to become a leader for peace, following in his dad's footsteps. He performed this live at his Almaty concert last September and it was stunning!! Great reaction, I was sure you would love this! About the children, take a closer look if you watch it again: the older boy saves the younger Dimash from drowning, but when he sees that the girl is super worried about him, it seems that he SLOWS the CPR. Then, when they play on the beach he feels "rebuked" by the girl and he never wears the medalion given by little Dimash. I fact, I love how symbolic it becomes when both Dimash and the woman wear the amulet upside up and the dictator keeps it upside down (the symbol in the military uniforms is based on his childhood friend's gift). I guess jealousy is what turned him into an overcompensating monster. The girl who is shot is the daughter of both Dimash and the pregnant woman (we see her with her mother when they're in each other's arms while the building shakes under somewhat the close artillery shelling). I have seen the "Making of" video that was realeased, and one of the cut scenes is when both the mother and the daughter flee from the soldiers in the corridor and then turn right to go up some stairs. Suddenly, the little girl drops her plushy toy (a black sheep / sacrificial lamb for symbolism again), making her escape her mother's graps to go back for it. By the way, It seems that the mother dies giving birth and thus the three friends from the beach die and only the baby (future Dimash?) will keep alive the symbol of their friendship (the mother's amulet). Anyway, if you want another amazing military video that you may love, try the awesome cinematic trailer "Wait for me" from the videogame World of Warships. It's not a song per se (it's a poem) but the background music, the story, the producion and the message are top tier. Even if you don't want to react to it, watch it on your spare time and enjoy a better movie in 5 minutes than a 2-hour long Hollywood blockbuster. The moment where the little girl looks up at the soldiers, and you hear the sound of the gun being cocked... That moment right there encapsulates the absolute cruelty, death, heartbreak, loss of heart and soul of war. Notice that he holds the symbol (part of a sundial -gnome) and bends it - he looses his way. The girl chose the boy that grew up to be the soldier. They married and had a daughter (who died). She was heavy with pregnancy and was whisked away to an underground shelter to give birth to the baby boy. She dies in childbirth and her necklace is placed on the baby boy. The baby is born at the moment of his father's death. The pilgrims are struggling away from war and towards peace and the light. They represent all people and all religions. The baby becomes the leader to lead them all to the light and away from war.

Just in case anyone missed any references in the video, This is by far the best explanation I have found. It was written by Heiderose Kober: This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). In the MV, (the taller child) who later becomes the military commander, never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, (the drowning boy), gives his friend the pendant. The camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl (later Dimash's Wife and the mother of his daughter who is killed). Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. Later, we see a version of the gnomon as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through rendering it useless as a compass. When we lose the original intent of a symbol by twisting it into something it is not or by just paying lip service, it no longer has any spiritual meaning. At best it becomes a useless prop, at worst it is used to mislead and manipulate people. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. How can we rid the world of evil without becoming what we fight against? The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht close to the end of the war in April 1945 in the part of Germany where I grew up. I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed-out buildings were women and children. The good guys defeated evil but at what price? War is not the answer. Dimash's scream of “we’re choosing life” is that of giving birth: the old earthly consciousness of an eye for an eye has to die to make way for a new spiritual consciousness that embraces all life. His soul is breaking free to return to its natural state of love and purity as exemplified by the images of the children and the newborn baby. The blowing of the shofar signals God's mercy for humankind when it turns from wrong to right: in the Zohar, the book of Jewish mysticism, it says: “When human beings repent of their sins, they blow the shofar on earth. Its sound ascends On High and awakens the heavenly shofar, and so mercy is aroused and judgment is removed.” Reborn as a leader for peace and love, Dimash's character in the form of his son becomes a spiritual guide for all of mankind on our shared journey up the mountain towards the light of God, however we may interpret or name the divine. We are all on the same path, even if our personal narratives, cultural heritage, race, and spiritual orientations are very different from one another. By focusing on our common destination rather than on our differences, we can walk together in peace and love and mutual respect. Carl Jung wrote: “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. More movie details: (1) The three (children) and the two boys disputed the girl's attention; (2) The character (which Dimash represents as an adult) created a symbol to confirm friendship between the three, after being saved by his friend; (3) Still in the video we see the girl choose "Dimash" and then they get married and have the little girl (who was killed) as a daughter and the mother is pregnant with another boy; (4) The older boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general; (5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family; (6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend; (7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life; (8) Dimash's wife is welcomed by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special; (9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place, of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

Summary: The children grow up, the crazy piper is the tyrant general, Dimash and the girl are married and have a daughter who dies while the mother is giving birth (if you look closely she also dies). The part of the desert with members of all religions is in the future, when the baby grows up to be just like its father... and leads everyone to a utopian world where religions unite for a difficult peace these days, but it is a beautiful message. It is a spectacular video.
