Dino Crisis is a much loved series that only had 3 main releases. Here I take a look at and review Dino Crisis 1 & 2, the more critically acclaimed games. From survival horror to all-out action, they are certainly chalk and cheese. But both great games in their own right. Find out why in this retrospective review, playing the Dreamcast version of Dino Crisis 1 and PSX version of DC2.

This was a fun look at some games I have only the most superficial knowledge of! I never enjoyed tank controls, but I watched a couple of friends play bits of them. I am one of those Azure Dreams fans; it's a game I have hardly heard anyone talk about, but I thought it did a lot of thinks really well, especially for a PS1 game. Looking forward to whatever you have to say!

The Dino Crisis 2 part begins well: my absolute favorite weapon of the game - Regina's Heavy Machine gun! I know it's not the best weapon in the game, but it's my absolute favorite.

With Capcom remaking the Resi games, would be nice if they did the same for Dino Crisis. Instead we got Exoprimal... We even got smaller budget Resi Revelation games which were fun too. Should put a smaller team to put something Dino Crisis out.

Man I have waited for this eagerly and I have not been disappointed. Extra treat for me to listen to again on my b'day Saturday 😁 All we need now is a remake of DC1 then DC4 😎 DC2 was good, but didn't exactly fit the original narrative, somewhat like RE4.

Regina is holding a Desert eagle in the 2nd game which is more powerful and why she holds it with two hands instead of 1 which was just a Tiny 9mm in the First game.

I love Dino Crisis 1. It itched that RE itch I was feeling at that time, but I agree, it was a maybe a bit too much like RE in some regards. Dino Crisis 2 however, was not my thing. While it is an action game and I have no problems with action games, DC2 is just shooting and shooting and shooting and a lot of the level design is kind of minigames in long ropey levels reminiscent of sidescrollers.

This was a game that I always liked in theory as a kid. Dinosaurs and a red headed woman in a cool outfit. Unfortunately I was too much of a coward to play it. I made the mistake of playing RE2 as a kid and had to go sleep in mommies bed for the first time in years. My stepdad wasn’t happy that I managed to convince him to get the game for me because suddenly he was kicked out of bed and had to sleep on the couch because an 11 year old suddenly felt like 5 again. Today I’m scared too but not of the zombies or dinosaurs but the ancient tank controls. I wish they did a remake with more modern controls.

You're in for a treat. Both are good, sequel is more of a fast arcade experience & one of the best games ever made. 1st one is essentially Resi with Dino's.

I hate when a series changes its gameplay type Why not do a spin-off? When I see 2 or 3 in a title i expect the same gameplay with a few upgrades and a new story Its the same as to walk into a KFC but then they only serve traditional thai dishes I do like that the dinos are polite enought to mangle corpses but leave the fingers intact so you can take the finger prints😂😂😂
