Part of me wants to feel bad for these people getting publicly humiliated like this but then I remember that they were actively serving food that could cause serious bodily harm to someone and even if it didn’t, is at least absolutely disgusting. Then I don’t feel so bad anymore.

I stopped eating out nearly 2 decades ago, the first thing I noticed is I stopped getting sick, the second you actually save up on a lot of money.

Country Club supervisor handled it pretty well. Just admit there was a problem and say you've fixed it now. Being confrontational (and with a machete) is what the news reporters want because that draws in viewers.

I grew up in a successful restaurant family and have a good idea of what it takes to keep the food prepping areas and equipment Clean and Free of infestations. My dad and I spent a good deal of time after hours cleaning up and on weekends he would go up and do deep cleaning behind all the equipment. Years later as a truck driver delivering food to restaurants, I was appalled to see the conditions present in almost every restaurant I delivered to, including the very best restaurants and high-end fine-dining establishments. It all comes down to who's in the kitchen doing the work and today it's mostly young people who don't know what they're doing, or people from different cultures who have third world standards. Thank God for food inspectors!

Guess what, once I worked at a "Trendy" Hotel in New York, called Hudson, I was a banquet server and I was horrified by they way food was prepared and stored, disgusting! Having said that even the so called 5 stars restaurants have nasty hygiene and poorly handle food away from the eyes of its patrons, best thing to do is avoid eating out as much as possible!

Inspector: we found roaches and rodents in the kitchen and 45 other violations. What you have to say? Owner: what rodent and roaches? they make great proteins to a diet. Inspector: 🤦🏻‍♂️

Oddly enough I don’t think he was being threatening with it. It looks like he was cooking with it and just didn’t put it down when he walked out and eventually realized he’s got this big knife and doesn’t know what to do with it.

I remember when I found out there is an allowance for roach particles in cereals chips and all kind of things. Hell even starbucks and tropicana were using cochineal extract. Look up what the fda allows in the food you purchase from the store and eat at ur home.

You have no idea how resilient the roaches and rats are. The rats digs the holes to your house, the roaches moves in.

The restaurant owner's are DISGUSTING PEOPLE !! I got food poisoning from a hamburger at a fair in California. My sister and I ordered a hamburger a piece and her's was fine. My hamburger was from a different package and later that night I was very ill. I didn't go to the hospital but I probably should had gone some some test could confirm the food poisoning. I recovered in about 3 day's.

If I were in that situation, I would make every effort to save face with my customers and assure everyone that everything possible is being done to make the store as sanitary as possible. Refusing to speak doesn't help his business and only hurts it.
