The Drummer who had the honor to destroy this drum set was Hideki Aoyama. An absolute beast in his profession! P.S.: Yes, their backing band is called Kami-Band = Band of Gods. And gods they are indeed!

BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL) The story is that it is their first performance for a western audience and they were supposed to play a small stage. They were moved to a main stage and the girls were very nervous. To make matters worse it was in the early afternoon when people barely usually pay attention. Oh and it's an anti-bullying song. It translates as No bullying forever. Or a 'black' Babymetal song. Black is with the two girls without their lead singer SU. BABYMETAL - Onedari Daisakusen - Live (Makuhari Messe) HD (their cutest song) It translates as 'Daddy begging operation' and it's about being cute to get money. BABYMETAL - Sis Anger Live (their hardest song) Don't worry about lyrics. The girls didn't write the songs and translations are tricky. It's not bad to look up beforehand what the song generally is about IMO. Then the choreography makes more sense. If you see skeletons that's an older video before the Kami Band. They are pretending. The Kami band always wear the facepaint with the white robes. That is burial dress.

To answer your question, I finally got to see them in London last year (dragged my nephew along and he loved it too) and it was possibly the best show I've been to (and I've seen Led Zeppelin, Megadeth, Anthrax (that was a great show), Metal Church, Van Halen and many more including more big names and many less well known bands). I'm just waiting on my tickets for London in February to turn up (dragging my brother along this time) - and I can't wait. Next ... any of the suggestions you have already, they're all good but I'd say maybe 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (it means 'Bullying, No More, Forever') live at Sonisphere 2014 would be a good next step.

Hi Dirty10. Good reaction! I think "Headbanger!" is my second favorite BABYMETAL song, it's about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday. It hadn't gotten a lot of play for a while so I was surprised that they played it during their latest US tour in 2019. I caught them on the tour in September and it was the best show I've ever seen. This year will be their 10th anniversary and they've been teasing something big happening on "XX Day", which we're all expecting to be October 10th. I'm actually saving up to possibly go to Japan if I can get tickets to it but all their Japan shows are always sold out so they hold lotteries for them. We'll see. Anyways, this is the Kami Band. There are a pool of Kamis who rotate in and out depending on availability since they all have their own bands and projects. This year on the US tour they had non-Japanese Kamis for the first time ever, I like to call them the Amerikamis, but they were all masterful musicians. Great reaction! I can tell you enjoyed the performance. The part with the dry ice always looks like such a party! I'm not sure about the sounds you were inquiring about; my best guess is that they are part of a back track that is also playing. If I am wrong, hopefully someone will correct me. While there are a lot of other fun and crazy videos to react to, I agree with Anthony that now is a good time to take a quick break and check out "No Rain, No Rainbow". The concert (Legend S: Baptism, which was Su-metal 20th birthday concert) was difficult for Su-metal and Moametal; it was the first time they would have to perform without Yuimetal but they still put on a hell of a show.

The lead singer is SU-Metal aka Suzuka Nakamoto age 22 the other girls are MOA-Metal aka Moa Kikuchi age 20 and Yui-Metal aka Yui Mizuno age 20 but Yui left in 2018 do to her Health and she wanted to go off and do solo career but they have 3 back up dancers they called them the Avenger for Yui spot the names are Riho Sayashi age 21, Momoko Okazaki age 16, Kano Fujihira age15 they rotate through shows and songs for that spot.

The 'ki-e-ro' crowd chant moment at 8:21 mark of your video still gives me goosebumps every time I watch this video, Made all the more effective as the instruments all come back in.When they played this song at the forum in los angeles in oct we went crazy.....And we hit the' ki-e-ro' chant right on que and our queen was smiling with approval. I knew this was going to get a great reaction from you. So many WTF moments in that first 5 minutes. No poppy sounds in this one! This was the Kami Band (you'll have to Wiki them for names and for who plays what). Seen them live 20 times. From NYC to Seattle to Tokyo. It never gets old. I've never EVER gone out of town for a show until Babymetal came into my life. Headbanger is a sweet 16 birthday song, believe it or not. The song was sung by both of the side girls, Yui and Moa, 16th birthdays on their 2014 tour in Germany and France. Su then changed the words of the song to reflect her 20th birthday at the Legend S show 2 years ago, and Moa sung the new version at the Legend M show this past year. The falling down with the gong at the end is a reference to X-Japan, they always do very long shows and the drummer was worn out/tired (partly because of lots of double bass, etc. I'm sure) and closed the show with a gong many times. Yeah, I've been to a Babymetal live show. It's the best show I've ever been to. Nobody can whip up a crowd like Babymetal with their music. BTW you stopped/rewinded very often. It's 'pausetastic'. :-(

If you want to pause, just use the spacebar and the left/right arrow keys to rewind/forward. Saves you the hassle of moving the mouse around and clicking by error. Plus we're not seeing the progress bar and preview all the time :)

X-Japan's drummer Yoshiki used to play until he collapsed on stage. The end of the song is an homage to X-Japan. They have several different ways they honor X. I have seen them 5 times now. Once with the drummer here, Hideki Aoyama, was at a metal festival outside Seattle, Pain in the Grass. No one in the crowd had heard of the band, but after Babymetal lit it up, everyone wanted to talk about the girls and the drummer. He is a monster. I had a Babymetal shirt on and got stopped dozens of times and it was either the girls or Hideki that people commented on. Their transitions are phenomenal, and some songs are structured so you wonder what is verse and what is chorus. They use pre-chorus a lot which may throw you off.

My first time seeing babymetal, in my mind : "who is the man on the drums? he killed the song!"

the same thing I wanted to comment, the magic is lost a lot when you jump for a few seconds, you can't enjoy all the magic, even if it doesn't matter if you stop it to comment, it is what you expect in a reaction was a good reaction by the way I like that you like babymetal so much and enjoy watching them.

I appreciate you doing this video and this particular song as it's one of my favorites. However, I have to be brutally honest and say that this was tough to watch. I know that on KZfaq the copyright monster is always looking over the shoulder of reactors and sometimes jump cuts are a necessary evil (this is why many reactors who enjoy making Japanese music part of their channel have resorted to the link & sync method). I'm OK with that, to a certain extent, because I've already seen the original video plenty of times and I'm really here for your reaction. That being said, when your constantly stopping, skipping forward and rewinding on the fly, you don't give yourself the opportunity to enjoy the song and performance as a whole but rather in bits and pieces. This not only ruins the flow and makes the song feel discombobulated but also has an effect on your overall reaction, which is why you had a hard time recognizing the chorus despite it being the third time it was repeated. I think your reactions would benefit from taking in the video and song as a whole and then, if necessary, editing the video afterwards. I don't mind reactors pausing when they feel they have something to say, I think that is part of...reacting to something, but it is pretty evident when someone is stopping the video purposely because of some kind of copyright obligation. I still gave your video a thumbs up to support your choice in reacting to BABYMETAL and the time your taking to do so. And I hope that you continue discovering and, more importantly, enjoying more of their music.
