Social Security Disability for SSA-3373 is your opportunity to tell Social Security about your medical problems, and how they make it difficult for you to work when you file a disability claim. Don't waste this opportunity. Keep in mind, the abilities Social Security focuses on are the abilities to: see, hear, sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, handle objects, speak, travel, understand, remember, concentrate, persist, interact socially, and adapt.

Thank you, this was very thorough and helpful. I am filling this paperwork out for the second time and it is so frustrating not having any idea what they need to know.

i never knew i was diagnosed with severe mental illness. i never wrote that down because why. i did not think it fit me. but wheni wrote down that i am rated 100% from the va for schizoaffective and here is my va doctor (who makes me take medications i do not think i should have to take0 they even called the police on me because i said i am quitting the va, money, benefits everything they give me because they call me schizophrenic and make me take meds.

How does one find an advocate? Many have cognitive issues that prevent them from being able to fill the form out on their own.

The best case scenario is to print out the RFC form and have your doctor fill it out on your behalf. Your doctor would be the most knowledgeable about your conditions and the doctors opinion would carry more weight with the SSA. My doctor filled out an RFC for me and then my advocate helped me send in all of my information. The advocate doesn’t know your medical conditions. Your doctor does. When it comes time for the DDS to evaluate your paperwork, they want to see your doctors opinion, not your advocates. My advocate was referred to me through my local DPSS office. I don’t know where you live, but DPSS should be able to refer you to an SSI advocate.

I cannot any longer squat down like i use to,i cannot walk 8 miles a day any more im lucky if i make it 50 feet,i used rhe remarks page too,still not enough room for all that it causes me
