I guess the moral of the story would be, that the journey is sometimes more important than the end goal. He didnt appreciate his dream coming true but the other kids probably did.

This episode reminder Ed, Edd n Eddy when the Eds wanted to make an omelet and all they needed was an egg but they had to make so many trades with the other kids just for one egg. So many favors for one thing and all effort was wasted on the one who started it, but everyone else got what they wanted.

@@thefreshgreenbeast6458 to the best of our knowledge, mikey has no idea how he ever got accepted in to the safety rangers in the first place. seriously, how could he have a legitimate chance, especially after being laughed at by the head guy? even if he did know what his friends had done for him, he didnt say thank you to any of them. he definitely is a nice kid with a big heart but this episode demonstrates one of two things about mikey: either 1) hes a dumb kid (regardless of his age) or 2) hes ungrateful or at the very least, has terrible manners.

Despite Milking quitting they did help King Bob Ashley and her sister Brittany, Melow and those two other guys dream come true. I grew up watching this show Mikey was my least favorite except when he song. I felt bad for him when he fail for his music teacher despite the age difference he care for her. I would not call it love but first crush he got hurt.

Mikey is an interesting character. He is like an angel with no ounce of devious thoughts, but he likes to be cheered and if it’s not what he expected, he back off and completely quit, same as when he’s in the retirement home. He has confidence issue back then and improved.

Not where I'm from. I went to school with several multi-named people in my classes and my school. Not tripled up like that, but enough so that this part of the cartoon seemed normal to me as a kid, especially when you remember names come in trends.

Mikey, hate to break it too ya, but you might not like the idea. 1) You have to graduate with a 4 year degree in aeronautics, either from West Point, Annapolis or Colorado Springs. After that you have to train at one of many military bases in the US. 2) They have specific weight requirements that uh...well let's just say a few weeks without sweets and a few mile runs oughta cut it. Also you have to be G force resistant. 3) Pilots are officers and thus have to file paperwork. Lots and lots of paperwork. So if you don't like homework, this'll suck for you. 4) Considering this was back in the 90s...well let's just say the world has gotten more violent. So bombing runs are part of the daily routine. 5) You're not gonna get a name like Maverick, more like a name like Goose. After graduation, the Instructors essentially roast a graduate and decide their callsign by whatever messed up jokes they can make. Point is, I know what I'm in for. You don't.

The episode shows that Mikey is the weak link in the group. Even Gus has far more redeeming qualities than Blubberburg. Wines about not being in the rangers, friends go through an ordeal to make it happen, and he abandons it in favor of stuffing his face. If that were a real life instance, I would have made him eat his food through his eyes and ears.
