This couple has something real going on. My late husband and I would get testy with each other on a regular basis and referred to ourselves as 'The Bickersons'. But, we shared the same values and goals and would rather be with each other than anyone else. We were inseparable and had each other's backs for 32 years. When he was diagnosed with terminal cancer the thought of being separated from each other was excruciating, but we managed to both laugh and cry together till the end. When I hear a married person say "we've never had a cross word", I just think . . . how boring. He's been gone almost 5 years now, but I feel his presence around me often and I know he keeps tabs on what's going on with me, till we meet again. I wish this quirky couple a long and entertaining marriage filled with laughter and a goodly stockpile of orange soda. 🥤

I don't think the relationship is bad nor should you base a relationship solely on money. I'm pretty sure they have been together for a while and who knows if they had money before. Obviously in order to go broke you had to have money to begin with. I see distractions and conflict. If the judge gave them 50k right then and said i'm paying all your expenses now you can be happy together. Really? No my dear their issues have nothing to do with money. They have matters of the Heart but also a term in the vow (For Better or for worse) So, you see regardless if your married or not problems will come, Health issues will come, it is already in the Marital vow and Gods covenant. Even if you decide to write your own vow you can't Break Gods marital vows. Money is just the icing on the cake. Finances isn't the root of the problem. People with money have more problems then them. They just fake it. Unconditional love outweighs financial hardship. Thank you

His biggest issue seems to be that he doesn't feel appreciated as a veteran. He wants be reassured constantly as a hero and savior and he not only doesn't get it from the world, but he feels he doesn't get the same appreciation from his home. That was really his complaint and that is a huge one. Veterans that have hero complexes tend to cheat and/or gamble; needing satisfaction of feeling like a hero or a winner. I would not be surprised if he cheated. Or gambled. So that's why he is always upset. The fiancee is at a boiling point with it. Judge Toler only saw anger issues and not the full package. I am happy they sought help and I hope he seeks more help in coping with life after serving for the military.

I’m not saying he’s a bad guy, but she needs to move on. He’s too petty and selfish. One thing my mama told me that was dead on: if it’s bad in the beginning, it’s going to get exponentially worse as time goes on. See the red flags girl! Don’t even THINK about it until he’s had individual counseling and both of you have gone through couples therapy.

I agree with your mom to a certain point but I think that's only if you don't do something about it. If you have issues and you both try to work it out, it usually wouldn't get worse because you guys already solved/know how to solve it now if it happens again. If the guy actually had anger issues because of navy or whatever then they could try therapy and see if that'd work

I love how this judge brings everyone back to reality and even asks the couples what they love about the other, to remind them what's important. Bring em back to the beginning.
