Making bracelets out of copper pipe is super fast and easy!
Not many tools are needed at all, I am sure these can be made with just vise, hammer and blowtorch.
Copper is a very soft metal that, if annealed, it can be bent into shape quiet easily even cold. It is also very easy to anneal just by heating it up with a blowtoch, and can also be quenched in water still hot because it does not harden by quenching. But still, it will hardens after you shape it for a while (work hardening) so just anneal every time it stiffens up and gets hard to bend.
Let me know what you think about this kind of easier project!
Maybe once in a while it's cool to make something that many of you can make aswell. :)
This would also make for a nice handmade gift right?
Thanks a lot for watching!

My wife has been making very similar bracelets for the past few months. We demo'ed out an old refrigeration system on the boat we live on, and she couldn't stand to throw away all the old copper refrigerant lines. She ended up making beautiful bracelets from scrap. That first one you did with the folded edges is a new direction for her...

Periodically heating it up with a torch until it's red hot is a crucial step. Annealing the copper makes it soft and pounding it out hardens it again.

Ball-Peen Hammer Torch Bench Vise Anvil Rubber Mallet Calipers Chisel Jar of Water Vice-Grips (Needle Nose) Steel Wool File And some other kind of hammer that I've seen a lot of, but have never known the proper name for. I think that's covered it. Though, you could pretty much pull this off with basic pliers and a random hammer. The finer details, such as the folding, would be a tad more difficult. And, it's may prove difficult to file, without a file. But, if you have a basic pair of pliers and a hammer, I expect that you may have some other basic tools, and if you are able to think "outside of the box", you could come up with your own detailing solutions.

I found this video looking up copper pipe bracelet making. I made a door pull from a copper pipe for my screen door. It was a whole lot of fun and a gob of work, but I loved the process and the result. After watching your video, I looked through your list of videos dating back to 7 years ago and all I can say is wow! You have amazing talent. Needless to say, I just had to subscribe. It would be nice to see a tips and tricks video for someone just starting out. I'd like to make some metal hangers for garden tools for the chicken coop, but I live on the coast where the salt air is horrible when it comes to rust. I thought maybe copper pipe might work, but it might be too weak. Anyhow, thank you so very much for sharing your incredibly beautiful art!!!

look up annealing. but basically continuous hammering makes the copper harden internally and it'll eventually become brittle and chip *work hardening*. heating and cooling softens the copper so you can continue to hammer it. someone correct me if i'm wrong, but brass works the same way as copper?
