Fantastic bender jig. Does lacquering effect the so called medicinal properties? I have just bought a cheap bracelet off eBay, I have sanded the copper coating off a small section I don’t think it’s made of copper. The metal has a silver colour.

I made a bracelet like This. The problem is That after a day or so, there was green oxidization all over. Do you have any tips to prevent This?
@johneyler8247
@johneyler8247 3 жыл бұрын
I have found that either a clear spray lacquer or even some paste finishing wax will help keep the shine and prevent the green oxidation. If you notice the bracelet starting to turn green go over it with some very fine sandpaper (1200+ grit) or give it a good rub with a course fabric like denim or something. If you have a buffing machine that will give the best polish though. After a polish, clean with acetone or warm soapy water and then apply one of the two finishes I mentioned earlier. I hope this helps! Happy crafting!

How did you make wood bracelet mandrel ?
@johneyler8247
@johneyler8247 7 жыл бұрын
I made one bracelet originally and wore it and adjusted it until it was comfortable on my wrist. I then took my bracelet off and traced the interior of the bracelet on a piece of wood and cut the shape out... that gave me the shape of the bracelets. I then bent a nail and impeded it into the wood shape where one of the bracelet ends would be.

Kay Zoretic it’s 1/4” copper tubing that came in a 20’ length! The white box right at the beginning shows the packaging that it comes in from Lowe’s. The length I cut the pieces too is 6 1/2” I believe but really that length depends on the size of the wrist you are making it for:)

Hello. How do you ensure the bracelets dont get corroded/blacken very quickly? I ordered a copper strip, cleaned it sparkling new, stamped a name and filled the ink. Kept those strips as it is in my drawer and in 3-4 days it already got corroded. Maybe its something to do with my environment humidity. But since I am planning to sell them I find it risky my customers open packet and find a blackened copper bracelet. Can you suggest something ?

For "therapy," the copper wide surface area type bracelet must be overlapping with out touching, with a type of closure to hold its position as insulated, in a SPIRAL. The original health benefits came from science research a long time ago, which you probably never studied. 98% of users have it wrong. The vibrational energy in the air has frequencies, many from cosmic radiation. The cellular living tissue within the spiral gets absorbed energy at a low amplification. (Antenna) This works on people, animals and plants. I used this many years ago on my old dog with arthritis. Twice it worked.( Animals and plants don't have "BIAS"- Gee I think I feel better.) See - study the data published about the work of George Lakhovski and the booklet "The Waves That Heal" Cancer eliminated in potted plants, and use of the electrically active type, or passive type copper spirals. So now you know.

You don't need an anvil! If you can get a piece of copper, some heavy-duty shears/scissors, and a bit of sandpaper you can make just as good if not even better of a bracelet. I make videos not so people can copy exactly what I do, but so they can see what I make with what I have, in hopes of them being inspired to make things with what they have.
