Well done to you all, especially Nick for his expertise and Dan the wheelbarrow man who not only had to mix and move the concrete but shovel all the sand and gravel off the back of the truck to get it set up. I can't wait to see the final reveal.

Glad you found someone who knows how to pour concrete. A project like this is very doable with the right mix of brains and muscle.

Nick is very knowledgeable and works hard in whatever he does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has been on other channels helping people!! I DO NOT KNOW HOW HE GETS HIS WORK DONE!!!! You are very very very lucky to have got him. Hw will drop everything to help other people. He is a work horse and wants people to try to stay up with him..... My first job as an adult was on a concrete crew. Brutal work. When I built my house some years later, I paid to have my floor and slab for my shed done by professionals. To do such a job with friends is one of the most difficult and stressful projects a person can do. Well done. I'm sure you'll love the results

Nice thumbnail. Watching that concrete work brings back, not so pleasant memories!! I often got to mix the concrete and wheel barrow it in also. In America the one on the wheel barrow was usually called the mule! It certainly is what I felt like!!😊

I feel for you mate, concreting is proper hard work especially if you haven't done it before and once you start you can't stop so you just got to push through the pain lol. Well done though after a while you will get used to it 👍

It's the only way to learn how to do it, most don't even try.👍

A loose wire in the back of the plug will create a lot of heat!.. normally happens on the neutral side.. can cause arcing which is the cause of the heat, soon get that floor cracked out with Nick at the helm, and all have to learn somewhere guys well done.. can'y wait to see the result..

Working with concrete and cement is a tiring job! At least you had a fairly patient teacher! I had to learn the hard way, but it was worth it. It will be worth it for you guys as well. A couple of matchbooks on hand will take care of any spots slightly out of plumb!

Nick is an amazingly clever practical guy. You're very lucky to have him. And I'm only just into watching the beginning of your video .

Nick is certainly the man to call when you need an expert teacher

Do they not have cement trucks in Portugal? Seems like it would be cheaper/easier/more consistent to order a truck load for the the floor and use any leftover for another project, like a separate slab to build on in the future. If you do pour another floor, some sort of re-bar reinforcement would be recommended, as well. Without it, most slabs will tend to crack. A looser, more liquid mix will give you more working time and will self-level without nearly as much manual manipulation. Good luck.

One thing for sure is you are becoming a part of a community with a good spirit

90 percent of the time it's a loose connection that causes that sort of heat. Inside one side of that plug there is more than likely to be the problem.👍

I've followed you two from the beginning. 2 questions: 1. How long after you met did you spend planning before actually looking at land to buy? 2. What kind of jobs did each of you have before you bought the land?
