DIY GT Omega Wheel Stand Shifter Mount

To get the shifter in a more natural position a custom made a shifter mount using supplied components.
To do this, you would need a drill, large drillbit, hacksaw, a vise and other tools. This was not a super easy project but if you have experience working with metal, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Very crafty. Just bought a classic and saw your video about how wobbly it is. Did you ever mod it for wobble? Sorry if it's covered somewhere in your videos I haven't watched them all yet.

Where your rod is on the shifter mount put another straight rod to the front corner hole it'll sort the last bit of flex out

Do you recall which size nuts/bolts you used for this? I have the same setup and have been considering this mod for my fanatec shifter.

Question : i want to buy the rear frame for my apex wheel stand but its back order. I was wondering if i could still buy the classic rear frame like you have and use it without joining it to my wheel stans, im using my kit in the livinf room so it could be easier for me to put it aside after racing in 2 parts. So question is, if you use the rear section “as is” with a seat on it is it enough stable even is its not joined to the wheel stand u thinnk? So ill have it in 2 parts .

what was wrong with the three holes on the side of the frame? i thought thats where it was meant to go? it only moves the shifter a couple inch forward from where you have it, and sits in a more realistic position.

I actually found the position to be less realistic and the new position better.

@@colchilibeck ah i see. in uk cars the gear stick is further forward, and the handbrake is in the position you've got the gears. no hate, was just wondering
