Another tip for lipstick swatches for those who may not want to rub their lipstick on paper, like me. Take a closeup picture of your lips wearing the lipstick. Print all the lip swatches out, laminate them, then put them on a key ring. When you want to know what lipstick to wear with a certain outfit or makeup look you can just hold the card up to your lips. The color will be more true for you.

Em Cee not really. You can just arrange then on a word doc and then print out all the sheets and laminate the sheets. If you have a paper cutter you can cut a bunch at once. You're local library should have one you can use.

Marguerite Moreau yes, you could do this, but the colors would be muted. Also, the purpose of doing what I suggested is for anyone who may feel they'd be wasting lipstick, especially the costly brands.

My daughter is 13 years old and we watched you every day this week during Spring break. Right away she worked on her room, we went to the Dollar Star. What a great lady you are! Funny, inspiring, so cute with your husband, beautiful on the inside and out. Great role model for a mom and a girl learning how to make it growing up!

The dirty brush container is gonna be a game changer for me! My “solution” has been to lay dirty brushes down on a tissue on my vanity 😐 Thank you! Btw if you don’t have a pastel-specific sketchbook, you can use a regular one & when done swatching your lipstick, use a light coating of hairspray to set it!

Wanza Beauty, you may not realize there could be 50 video's on YT which refer to the DIY Lazy Susan (cake pans w/marbles). That idea is as old as Alejandra. Unfortunately she won't be recognized as the inventor often.

Wanza Beauty Alejandra is annoying as all hell. I'm sure she isn't the original creator of it. isnt very hard to come up with it. also Alejandra steals ideas all the time anyway so it isn't a big deal.

I love this video! Im in the long process of organizing allllll my cosmetics. I love these ideas! I did the lazy susan with the marbles and it works sooooooo well and you can decorate it how you want!! Im doing the thing with the boxes and toilet paper rolls next! :) So cute!! I can tell you put a lot of effort into your videos. :)

Omg I was trying to look back and figure out when I found you….and I found this little gem instead. In your apartment!!! Making crafts! So cute!! And Ryan making a little appearance at the end. And seriously, you haven’t changed one little bit!! 😮 That really speaks to skin care working. 8 years is a long time. And two pregnancies and a wedding and buying and decorating a house. BlackXS2108 thank you! At first I wasn't sure about it, was it worth the time to make, but i've been using it almost every day to pick out my lipstick shade and it's SO helpful to have. Also helped me realize I have about 6 lipsticks that are almost the identical color ...I need to lay off light pinks haha!

Karri Case Yea his stuff was actually more disorganized than mine- he needed a little help too! As for my nails I get shellac now (bc I film videos and my chipping nail polish was a constant struggle). I'm not sure the color name I will ask next time I go in :)

for the swatch book, why don't you just write the color name and brand before swatching? makes more sense for a lefty, so you have less chance of rubbing it off. or put the color on the right hand side of the page.....

I'm so happy I found your channel! Your DIY makeup storage is brilliant. I have the same storage problems, if I see my palettes I'll use them and constantly knocking over the foundations and primers. OMG I have the same plastic containers and yes they are too bulky and not easily accessible. Thank you!

Zainab Abdul Ghani thank you! I like that this version has high sides so the foundations don't fall over the edge when you spin it -- most i've seen have a flat edge -& super easy to make!!
