So when is the drawing for a viewer to be able to come down and have one of those famous dinners at the new outdoor kitchen? We need this! I want to be the first entrant. Your custom build is just that. You build it for what you and Tiffany want. It is your house. You create the counter tops and seating heights for your desires, not industry standards. That is why it is a custom build. You did such a wonderful job. I am jealous. It looks GREAT! You provide such wonderful content I cannot watch over the air TV anymore. AND yes, I have subscribed and LIKED this video. Everyone else should too...

You can get a vent/filter unit that sits behind or to the draft side - it pops up and sucks draft up to help for that oil issue - likely needed to be planned into a reno but for people really worried about it its available. Not cheap by any means and the filters can be alarmingly expensive but many teppenyaki restos have em.

Oh yeah i got a Walmart TCL TV out on my porch. Remotes, cable box and everything has been outside for 3 1/2 years now. I do put the TV inside during the Georgia pollen season but other than it stays outside no problem. Maybe Florida saltwater air could cause some issues but that is pure assumption on my part. Andrew, great thinking on the TV, we have had one on our covered back porch for over 9 years and it is still going strong, I just throw a beach towel over ours to keep the dust and Florida pollen off of it, it is however in an area that is a bit more sheltered than yours. Beautiful build! Thank you for taking the time that you do to detail everything. Starting on a similar build over in the Live Oak, FL area :). Do you happen to know the dimension of the depth of the cabinet base you went with, or, the overhang of the finished countertop and I can work backwards? I'm guessing the tile + facing ends up at 24 3/8" or so, just wasn't sure how much of an overhang you had on the lower cabinets. Thanks again!

I found this series by looking up people inserting blackstones into outdoor kitchens because I want to get my husband a black stone for his birthday, and we plan on doing an outdoor kitchen in the near future I watched one before this one and he definitely didn't leave any space around it for those vents, so I'm glad I came across yours because that could potentially be a big issue if you didn't leave the space. Your build was fantastic, and it's so impressive that you did it all by yourself! I plan on showing my husband this series, as well, because there's so much useful information within. I appreciate you taking your time to make videos like this for people like us that want to DIY properly.

Andrew, just watched this video and when you were talking about the cover for your TV and you mentioning that you hope that the cover will keep moisture out. reminded me of waterproofing my work boots. They have spray waterproofing that you can spray on the cover to help keep morning due, wind blowing rain out. Water will bead and not soak in. I am sure that the cover is waterproof but nothing wrong with a little extra waterproofing. Food for thought

Good morning. Maybe try a 3ft over hang it would lengthen your prep to left of Blackstone. There are places that MFG 3 layer covers custom made/designed. But you could also try to make a holder for a moisture trap, it'd keep from using the cheap package style. Teething pups will attempt to naw on Brass pending breed. I think the TV is fine where it is. I think the propane fitting looks fine in brass. Not everything needs to be black. I think I'd like to have bar stools that moved as not everyone is your size and would fit on them. Besides, it would be nice that, when not in use, they could be moved up against the bar. I understand there may be a stability issue if not bolted down like they are. The kitchen turned out magnificent!

Also elected to stay with my Costco Bluetooth speaker rather than wire when I did my fans & lights. Music is great however when I stream video from the TV there is a terrible lag with the Audio (sound doesn’t match timing) does your transmitter do the same? If not which one did you use? Right now I’m using a cable into the AUX. Glad I found your videos, well done sir! Funny how similar our builds are but in reverse order. We started with the pool, deck, pavilion, fans, DIY seating & Tv (also used indoor with cover; mine survived 2 summers and still fine), firepit, etc! Kitchen cabinets is the final step next spring for our blackstone, grill & pizza oven.
