I used a small glass jar. packed aluminum foil in it. Wrapped electric fence wire around the outside of jar, Connected a 10kv or 10,000 volt furnace transformer.
It works equally well without a fan.
When I cook something that continues to smell in the house, I use this for 1-2 hours and the bad smells are gone and you smell the ozone this produces.
