DIY Toyota Tundra Door Handles Install

11 ай бұрынThis time I will show you how I removed the chrome door handles and how installed textured black door handles. To be honest I like both of them, As I always says IMO chrome parts make the Tundra looks gorgeous and black parts make it looks like a sport or offroad truck and this is exactly what I am looking for now.

This set came well packaged and I liked it a lot, the black texture on it looks great! This has been one of the easiest mods ever done to my Tundra.

You made it look like everything just popped in 😂😂😂 I’m over here fight with the rear driver side. The front driver side was super easy 🤷🏽♂️

Really? 😟 Maybe it's defective? Which part is giving you difficulty? Is the handle?

@@TundraMods actually had a hard time with the both pieces on the rear driver side. Took me about 45 minutes to get the handle to snap into place. I ended up having to remove the screw completely for the other part and slide the inner housing over to get it to line up with the threads. Seems like the inner housing shifted but you can’t see it everything’s lined up with the screw sitting there. Drivers side 5 minutes, rear drive side 2 1/2 hours 😂

Nice video! When unscrewing the screw in the door does it fall out if unscrewed too far?

It doesn’t affect the touch on the handle to lock or unlock?

Good question! Assuming you refer to models with smart key... This is a 2018 1794 Edition that unfortunately hasn't smart key that enable the touch feature. But in a such case I understand it will be a different handle with touch sensor/button to enable that functionality.
