Toyota was trying to charge me 450 to installed door handles. Watch your video and it took me 20 minutes, thanks for the awesome video.

What color Black did you use? I see there is "Classic Black", "Matte Black" and "Attitude Black".

Way easier to remove than I was worried about. Getting ready to raptor line my 2008 sequoia with 206k miles thst runs like new. Just needs paint tlc.

Man, this was my first on to-do list and was unsuccessful. The new door handle will not spring back to close. Meaning, when you pull the handle to open the door, the handle actually stays pulled out instead of retracting back. I reinstalled the original back and had Toyota check it out. They said the door handle is broken. I told them that can’t be because I just tried replacing it, and same thing happened. Now they want me to pay additional $ to take a look at it again. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Nope!

Recently, the door handles on my 2010 limited started getting stuck in the 'open' position. Do you know if there is any lubrication (if it would help at all) that can be added to these door handles when they are taken apart like in your video? TIA!

would like to see how that actually works. The way it just pops in what exactly is it touching to activate/open the door?

The silver stem locks into something that turns the look. I never opened it up to take a look. Most new vehicles are like that.

@@trustno1449 reason I'm asking my son went to the lake for 5 hours. When he returned someone broke two of his doors handles off then busted his window. I will be replacing the door handles. Was wondering if they're like old school hooked to a steel rod on the inside, but from what I'm seeing it's all electronic now activated through the switch/plug wire now days. Always learn something new.

@@BigAlWillis I know the inside handles and lock are connected to cables. Damn that is horrible news. Yeah someone stole the catalytic converter off my honda a week ago. Bad times.

Where you order the door handles form ? And is it same key or different ?

Trdsparks.com. you reuse your same key insert. You have to remove it from the old door handle and snap it into the new one. It's easy. I replaced mine because it didn't work.

The smaller door handle piece IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING TO PUT BACK IVE BEEN TRYING TO ALIGN IT FOR LIKE 40 minutes holy fuck

And the screw doesn’t come out at all? That’s my biggest fear. I need to replace the driver handle on my sequoia.

It doesn't come out completely. It has something that stops it from coming out so it doesnt fall in the actual door frame. It just loosens enough to get the handle off.

I did this on my Sequoia using a drill and the screw came out too far and it fell inside the door frame, so be careful and follow the way he did it, and don't be a knucklehead like me 🤨.
