Made similar tests myself with these two and have to say I prefer the DJI on Log and the GoPro on standard but I hate to say it but I am going to be selling my 4 GoPros and getting a couple more Actions - cracking video shame about the Avata of Dans what is it with you and drones ... LOL ... thank god for DJI Refresh !

I think DJI passes them by on this one. I’d still spend a little more and get the Pocket 3 since my Hero 8 still works fine for use on my ebike.

We were so lucky to find the Action 4! So damn funny. However, I'm really surprised by how soft the GoPro looks. I remember having the Session5 a long time ago when I first built FPV drones and remember that being incredibly soft too. Love the looks of the Action 4 though. We can try the GoPro on the NEW Avata next week?

GoPro made the volume and mute controls exclusive from each other. Mute is on the quick menu screen next to the control to toggle voice control on and off.

It seems that Gopro slept on the mountain that once they were and forgot that others were climbing too. My Hero 8 Black batteries are completely dead, only cheap 3rd party ones survived (bought the same time, used the same amount), camera freezes quite often, the audio addon sometimes loses it's audio or quality goes to 💩.. There seems to be only 2 things that it's going for it: undeniably great build quality that lasts and their Gopro+ subscription, which gets you camera replacements if you smash yours, but other things... I'm not sure if I will buy another Gopro. For now DJI seems to be killing it. Which is good and bad thing, since if there's no competition they will become sloppy with products same as Gopro

are all of you paid by DJI to do this review? The amount of "non-influenced" comparison videos (Action 4 vs. GoPro12) is really unbelievable! surprisingly, all these tests have the same result. Because all reviews have been done by well known DJI-reviewers. I would choose the Action 4, but not because of all these comparison tests...

@@SamHolland I don't complain, that the Action 4 won, but I complain, that more or less every let's call it "DJI-friendly" youtuber made the indentical review. That left a strange feeling...

As someone who doesn't have a KZfaq channel up and running currently. This year I bought DJI Action 4 after waiting patiently for the Hero 12. I don't regret my decision one bit. I also just ordered the Pocket 3 because of my positive experience. DJI just knocked it out of the park this year with their releases and obviously listen to what people want from their products and make it happen.. I'd love to get a Mini 4 pro drone as well but I've exhausted my tech spending budget for now. I did get a Hover X1 which is awesome. But I think DJI has won me over in the action camera war. User experience is on a different level and makes me want to use the camera and take it with me.

I think it's refreshing to have someone finally show how crap and laggy the GoPro user interface is, that always annoyed me, plus the countless other bugs. DJI just works.

Да. Значит моя камера GoPro 11 не бракованная и реально эти новые экшен камеры нельзя использовать в стандартных настройках. Такой контраст и цифровая резкость делает из людей стариков. Ты тоже выглядел реально старше. Все морщины усиливались в раз 10.

As much of a nob as the head of Go Pro is, it's a shame that they're falling off because DJI dominating another market is no good for consumers.
